Abstract

A hanger (5) for C-shaped profiles (1) of suspended ceilings possesses, on a hanger lower part (7) carrying the C-shaped profile (1), lateral horizontal cross-piece portions (8) which lie on the upper side of the edges (4) of the C-shaped profile (1) and engage over the latter with downwardly angled end plates (9). Lateral carrying portions (13), which are arranged at a distance from the cross-piece portions (8), carry the edge strips (4) of the C-shaped profile (1). The hanger (5) is, in the mounted, vertical state, positively connected to the C-shaped profile (1) and lies flat on its outside, so that it does not hinder the introduction of insulating material next to and above the carrying rail (1). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a hanger for C-profile rails for suspended ceilings, in which the overhead opening of the C-profile rail is delimited by two inwardly directed edge strips, with an upwardly hanging upper part of the hanger and an associated lower part which reaches under the edge strips of the C-profile , which has a cross piece extending across the C-profile rail and overlapping its upper edges, with respect to which the lower, lateral support straps are staggered in the longitudinal direction of the C-profile rail, which engage under the edge strips of the C-profile rail, with the cross piece at two the cross-piece sections lying on the top of the C-profile rail, each with an end tab angled downwards, which in each case overlaps the upper edge of the C-profile rail and lies on the outside of the C-profile rail.

The inward-facing edge strips are curved, for example, in a semicircular cross section. It is known (DE-GM 81 09 075) to design the hangers intended for these C profile rails as an inverted T-shaped, essentially flat sheet metal parts which are supported with angled horizontal tabs on the bottom of the C profile rail. This does make one certain pressure rigidity of the connection between the hanger and the C-profile rail achieved; but since the C-profile rails are usually made of relatively thin sheet metal, there is a risk that the lower suspension parts will show through the land surface of the C-profile rail, which is particularly undesirable if the underside of the land surface of the C-profile rail is on the underside of the ceiling remains visible, as is the case with many suspended ceilings.

In a hanger of the type mentioned (DE-A 21 09 596), therefore, a cross piece extending across the C-profile rail is provided with two cross-piece sections, which is designed as a vertical plate, which has two recesses in its lower edge into which the upper edges of the C profile rail protrude. The end flaps on the outside of the C-profile rail adjoining the crosspiece sections also lie in the same vertical plane as the crosspiece. In the event of a pressure load from below, the C-shaped rail is supported with its upper edges in these recesses in the crosspiece. The crosspiece of this known hanger protrudes upwards and in particular on both sides beyond the C-profile rail. This can have a disruptive effect, in particular, if the room next to and above the C-profile rails of the supporting structure of a suspended suspended ceiling is to accommodate insulating material for fire and noise protection.

The object of the invention is therefore to design a hanger of the type mentioned in such a way that it or the like introducing insulating material. does not interfere or hinder.

This object is achieved in that the two crosspiece sections extending in the longitudinal direction of the C-profile rail lie in a horizontal plane on the top of the C-profile rail and that the end flap lies flat on the outside along the C-profile rail.

The crosspiece, which absorbs a pressure load from below of the C-profile rail and prevents the upper edges of the C-profile rail from expanding in the event of a fire, lies flat on both the top and the side surfaces of the C-profile rail and therefore interferes with the insertion of insulating material Not. In particular, there is no risk that the insulating mats get caught on protruding edges of the hanger or that a protruding part of the lower part of the hanger will prevent the insulating material from coming into contact with the C-profile rails. Such a smooth system is particularly important for effective fire protection and sound insulation.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that in a hanger of the type mentioned with a U-shaped hanger in horizontal cross section with a web surface and two flanges, these two flanges of the hanger top each pass to the side in one of the horizontal cross-section sections. This not only achieves a very favorable introduction of force in the transition area, but also a smooth outer design, which enables the insulating material to fit tightly. The transition from the flange of the upper hanger part into the crosspiece section preferably runs in an arc.

In contrast to the known hanger, which is a mere bent part, the hanger according to the invention adjusts Shaped part, in the shaping of which the sheet metal material flows in the manner of a deep-drawing process. Such a sheet metal part is substantially more rigid than a bend part, even if relatively thin sheet material is used.

According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the lower hanger part has a surface piece lying in the plane of the web surface of the upper hanger part, from the two side edges of which a web is angled perpendicularly thereto, and that a lateral carrying strap is angled from the end of the web. which is parallel and at a distance from the plane of the patch.

In contrast to the generic state of the art, the web, which bridges the distance between the lateral support straps on the one hand and the level of the web surface of the suspension, is obtained from that area of the blank that extends to the two sides, so that the blank only have to be chosen as long as the finished hanger. This results in a particularly favorable use of materials.

The lower part of the hanger is preferably provided with a vertical surface piece, on the two side edges of which a support section is formed which extends under the edge strips and in which a vertical bead runs. This ensures that this support section receives a high load-bearing capacity, especially in the vertical direction. In addition, the area with which the support section curved by the bead is the edge strip of the accommodated C profile rail engages, relatively large, so that the risk of cutting through is avoided even at high loads.

According to a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the two vertical beads of the two support sections are connected by a horizontal bead to a central vertical bead. As a result, a substantial increase in the load-bearing capacity is achieved even when using relatively thin sheet metal.

  • Fig. 5 eine stark vergrößerte Teilansicht aus Fig. 1.
The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment which is illustrated in the drawing. It shows:
  • 1 is a hanger for C-profile rails of a suspended ceiling in a view in the longitudinal direction of the C-profile rail,
  • 2 is a view in the direction of arrow II in Fig. 1,
  • 3 is a plan view in the direction of arrow III in FIG. 2,
  • Fig. 4 in a side view corresponding to FIG. 2, a position during assembly of the hanger and
  • 5 is a greatly enlarged partial view of FIG. 1st

The hanger shown in the drawing is used to hang a C-shaped rail 1, which is only indicated in the drawing with dash-dotted lines, from a structural ceiling. The C-profile rail 1 is a mounting rail of a supporting frame of a suspended false ceiling.

The C-profile rail 1 has a flat web surface 2 lying below, from which two flange surfaces 3 are angled vertically upwards. From the upper edges of the two flange surfaces 3, an edge strip 4, for example semicircular in cross section, extends inwards. The C-profile rail 1 is supported by a plurality of hangers 5 distributed over its length, each of which is attached to the structural ceiling by means of a hanging part (not shown).

The hanger 5 has an upwardly projecting, upper cross-sectionally U-shaped upper hanger part 6, which merges downwards into a lower hanger part 7, which is used for connection to the C-profile rail 1.

The lower hanger part 7 has a cross piece, which consists of two cross piece sections 8 lying in a horizontal plane. These cross-piece sections 8 rest on the top of the edge strips 4 of the C-profile rail 1 and support them upwards.

In each case, the outer ends of the crosspiece sections 8 are angled downward as end plates 9, which lie flat on the outside of the upper edges of the C-profile rail 1.

The U-shaped upper hanger part 6 has a web surface 10 which merges downward into a surface piece 11 of the lower hanger part 7 lying in the same vertical plane. This area piece 11 is stiffened in the middle by a vertical bead 12. The surface piece 11 has a downwardly projecting extension, which secures the bottom 2 of the C profile rail 1 against unintentional lifting.

A support section 13 is formed on each of the two side edges of the surface piece 11, in which a vertical bead 14 extends. As a result, the top view of the support section 13 (FIG. 3) essentially has the cross-sectional shape of a half cylinder, the outer, vertical wall section 13a of which runs on the inside parallel to the flange surface 3 of the C profile rail 1.

Fig. 5 läßt erkennen, daß der Tragabschnitt 13 und insbesondere der Wandabschnitt 13a nach oben vorspringen und eine unter den Randstreifen 4 greifende Haltenase 13b bilden, die so gestaltet ist, daß außer einem halbkreisförmig gekrümmten Randstreifen 4 auch ein schärfer abgewinkelter Randstreifen aufgenommen werden kann, wie in Fig. 5 angedeutet.5 shows that the support section 13 and in particular the wall section 13a protrude upwards and form a retaining lug 13b which engages under the edge strips 4 and which is designed such that, in addition to a semicircularly curved edge strip 4, a sharply angled edge strip can also be accommodated, as indicated in Fig. 5.

The clear distance a (FIG. 3) measured in the longitudinal direction of the C-shaped rail 1 between the support section 13 and the edge of the cross-section section 8 facing it is, for reasons of assembly, as will be explained later, at least as large as the height h of the curved one Edge strip 4 of the C-profile rail 1 (Fig. 4).

A horizontal bead 12a connects the middle bead 12 to the two vertical beads 14 at the edge, so that a coherent system of stiffening beads is formed.

As can be seen from FIG. 1, lateral flanges 15 of the upper hanger part 6 each pass in an arc 16 into the two lateral cross-section sections 8. The hanger 5 forms in itself in this transition area dimensionally stable molded part. It can be seen particularly clearly from FIG. 1 that the lateral cross-piece sections 8 and their end plates 9 lie close to the C-profile rail and therefore protrude very little beyond their outer contour. If, next to and above the C-profile rail 1, insulating material is introduced, especially for fire and sound insulation, the lower hanger part 7 does not interfere.

The assembly is carried out in the manner indicated in FIG. 4. The hanger 5 is placed on the C-profile rail 1 so that it runs obliquely to the longitudinal direction of the C-profile rail 1. In this position, the support sections 13 can be inserted between the edge strips 4. Then the hanger 5 is aligned approximately in the longitudinal direction of the C-profile rail 1 and folded up from this position in the direction of the arrow 17 into the vertical position according to FIG. 2. In this vertical position, which is secured by the connection to the structural ceiling, the hanger 5 is positively connected to the C-profile rail 1 and can neither be released by lifting the C-profile rail 1 nor by rotating the hanger 5. The end flaps 9 lying laterally on the flange surfaces 3 of the C-profile rail 1 prevent the C-profile rail 1 from bending open laterally, in particular in the event of a fire. This also prevents the C-profile rail 1 from detaching from the hanger 5 in the event of a fire.
