Description

The invention relates to a military protective helmet with a helmet-resisting helmet cap and a strap arrangement which is fixedly connected to the helmet cap at several points as an interior, which consists of an approximately horizontally circumferential ring-shaped supporting band and radially extending bands from the top, the ends of which are firmly connected to the supporting band, consists.

In the case of military protective helmets, a known arrangement of straps consists of textile straps which are connected to the helmet cap, preferably by riveting, at several, for example six, locations in the area of the ring-shaped supporting strap. The purpose of the band arrangement is to keep the skull away from the calotte in order not to transmit the impact energy directly through the calotte to the skull of the helmet wearer in the event of an impact. The skull can only come into contact with the top of the helmet when the textile straps have lengthened considerably, which means that part of the impact energy has been used up. Since the strap arrangement is attached directly to the side of the helmet, side blows can be transmitted directly to the skull of the helmet wearer. Since shots of the helmet dome from all sides are possible and likely in the same way, such band arrangements are not suitable for damping the bombardment energy before transmission to the skull of the helmet wearer for a large number of the bombardment possibilities.

Industrial safety helmets are known, the interior of which is fundamentally subject to different requirements than for military protective helmets. For these interiors, it is known to make the strap arrangement from plastic and to provide for the damping of violent blows to the helmet on the outside of the plastic straps, which deform plastically when subjected to strong impact and thereby only make the transmission of the impact energy to the skull of the helmet wearer damped . Where the radial straps are attached to the helmet cap itself, nubs can no longer be provided. At these points, impact energy is therefore transmitted to the skull undamped. The function of the interior equipment of such protective helmets is essentially based on the fact that the radiating bands are attached to the helmet cap and the support ring remains movable. In DE 76 23 197 U an additional band is provided, which establishes the connection between the radially extending bands and the support ring and is itself not attached to the helmet cap. This band is on the back of the helmet. The support ring is firmly connected to the helmet cap itself on the front of the helmet. Padding is provided at this point.

An interior familiar from industrial safety helmets is not readily transferable to military protective helmets. All-round shock absorption could be achieved in the manner of a motorcycle helmet with an inserted polystyrene dome. However, this version is prohibited because it does not allow adequate ventilation of the helmet interior. The interior ventilation of crash helmets is based on the trapping of the airstream, so that this possibility does not apply to military protective helmets.

Die bekannte Innenausstattung ist nicht für militärische Schutzhelme vorgesehen.GB-1 108 502 discloses an interior for a work safety helmet which consists of elastically flexible strips densely populated with rectangular ribs. Two Y-shaped stripes run from a circumferential headband to the dome shape to two opposite fastening points. A high The density of the shock-absorbing ribs cannot be achieved with this because the bands are relatively wide and a higher number of bands would lead to an excessively large weight of the interior. The well-known interior is not intended for military protective helmets.

In contrast, the invention is based on the object of designing a military protective helmet of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that all-round shock absorption, in particular under the action of a shot, is achieved when using a strap arrangement which enables good ventilation.

This object is achieved with a military hard hat of the type mentioned above in that the band arrangement consists of plastic and forms a carrying cage, that all bands of the carrying basket have molded nubs pointing to the inside of the helmet cap and that no pimples from the bands above the carrying band have fastening strips, the ends of which are firmly connected to the helmet cap.

The band arrangement according to the invention is relatively stable in itself because the ends of the band arrangement are firmly connected to the carrying band. Neither the radial straps nor the carrying strap are attached directly to the helmet cap. Rather, the attachment takes place via the attachment strips that emanate from the straps above the carrying strap. The design of the band arrangement according to the invention enables molded nubs to be present on all sides, which are arranged between the bands and the helmet cap and preferably rest on the inside of the helmet cap.

The plastic basket according to the invention thus represents a unitary part which has a shock-absorbing property due to the knobs and is fastened to the helmet by means of the fastening strips. The plastic basket according to the invention therefore has properties of a styrofoam cap on the one hand, and properties on the other a conventional interior for occupational safety helmets, in which the carrier tape is movable relative to the radially extending tapes.

In a preferred embodiment, the fastening strips emanate from radial strips. The fastening strips have a length that corresponds to approximately half the length of the radial bands.

To produce a suitable damping curve, it can be expedient if the knobs have different heights, two different heights being generally sufficient. The damping effect is initially determined by the higher knobs alone, while a stronger damping effect is also achieved in the subsequent deformation of the lower knobs.

It is preferred to provide only three fastening strips so that only three fastening means, for example rivets, penetrate the helmet cap. Two attachment points are expediently provided on the side in the front area and one attachment point in the center at the rear.

The stability of the plastic basket and a uniform damping effect are achieved when two adjacent bands are connected to one another by at least one connecting strip. If eight radially extending bands are preferably provided, a sufficiently uniform distribution of the knobs, and thus the damping resistance, can be achieved together with the connecting bands.

The knobs can preferably have a diameter of about 10 mm. With this dimensioning, a desired damping effect for the strongest possible types of bombardment can be achieved with the lowest possible weight of the carrying cage sieren when the radial bands have approximately the width of the knobs. The knobs can be designed as a hollow cylinder and, if necessary, taper conically towards the helmet in order to achieve a progressive increase in the damping effect.

The invention will be explained below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing. Show it:
  • Figure 1 - a view of the inside of a military protective helmet
  • 2 shows a longitudinal section through the helmet according to FIG.

The military protective helmet shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a helmet cap 1, on the inside of which a carrying basket 2 is fastened to form an interior. The carrier basket 2 is made of plastic and consists of an approximately horizontally running, annular carrier band 3 and eight radially running bands 4, which are firmly connected to the carrier band 3, for example by riveting, and are separated from a central, elliptical fastening ring 5 on the Extend the top of the helmet approximately radially. Two radial bands 4 each are connected to each other by a connecting band 5, which are oriented approximately tangentially and open into the radial bands 4 or offset to the outside at about half the length thereof.

Two fastening strips 6 extend obliquely backwards from the radial bands to lateral fastening points 7, where they are fastened to the helmet cap 1, for example by riveting. A third attachment point 8 is located in the middle on the back of the helmet. A related fastening strip 9 is bent out of a widened in this area section 4 'of a rearward extending radial band 4', so that the connection of the radial band 4 'with the annular support band 3 via two lateral strips 4'.

Laterally from the rearward-facing radial band 4 'are formed on the support band 3 two obliquely upstanding tabs 10, which have pairs of holes 11 for attaching a net strip that extend in the longitudinal direction over the helmet and should improve comfort.

Both the radial bands 4 and the ring-shaped carrier band 3 have a multiplicity of knobs 12 arranged next to one another in the longitudinal direction of the bands, which are designed as hollow cylinders, as illustrated in FIG. 2, and which taper conically somewhat upwards.

Der gesamte Tragkorb 2 liegt somit über die Noppen 12 an der Innenseite der Helmkalotte 1 an.The entire carrying basket 2 thus lies against the inside of the helmet cap 1 via the knobs 12.
