Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a protective helmet with a dimensionally stable helmet shell covers at least an upper area of a human head, and with a holding device for fixing the helmet shell on the human Head, the at least one abutting section against the head as well as adjusting means for adapting to different head sizes, wherein at least one system section by means of a mechanically effective Support arrangement supported on an associated shell portion of the helmet shell is, the system section by means of a mechanical adjusting device to adapt to different head sizes or shapes in different Distances to the assigned shell section movable and can be fixed in the respectively adapted position.
Such a protective helmet is known from DT 22 10 205. The Safety Helmet has a head ring that is infinitely adjustable in head width, which is attached to several distributed over its scope by intermediate links with the Hard hat is connected. Spacers are on the one hand as intermediate elements provided that all taper in the same direction along the circumference of the ring. Corresponding spacers are on the other hand on the inside of the protective helmet is provided, so that there is a wedge-shaped displacement between the spacers when the head ring is turned the hard hat results. This will cause a narrowing or widening of the head ring.
A protective helmet is known from US Pat. No. 2,032,203 in which a head ring passes through a headband is formed, the ends of which are positioned overlapping one another. The width depends on the change in the overlap path of the headgear of the head ring adjustable.
It is also known (US Pat. No. 2,739,310) that a head ring is used for a protective helmet to form by two bow-like halves of the band, which face each other and are brought together. One half of the ring band is on the helmet shell of the hard hat. The other half of the ring band is adjustable, which means the width of the head ring can be adjusted overall.
DE 26 59 324 C3 is a protective helmet in the form of a motorcycle helmet known, on the inside of an air cushion arrangement instead of a foam lining is provided. The air cushion arrangement protrudes from a lower edge the helmet shell up to at least ear height, but not higher than in Temporal level. A foam lining of the helmet shell is above the Air cushion arrangement provided in the upper part of the helmet shell. By the Inflating the air cushion assembly is intended to accommodate different ones Head sizes and head shapes of a wearer of the motorcycle helmet can be achieved. In addition, it is possible by deflating the air cushion assembly place the motorcycle helmet gently from the wearer's head. In In practice, the solution described for resizing has become a reality a motorcycle helmet, however, not proven. Air cushion arrangements for Motorcycle helmets in practical use at best serve to improve the Fit and improve upholstery without it replace different sizes of motorcycle helmets. So it comes in practice to adapt to different head sizes only different large motorcycle helmets are used, the air cushion arrangements only to improve comfort.
The object of the invention is to provide a protective helmet of the type mentioned create that with simple and reliable means to different Head sizes and shapes is customizable.
This object is achieved in that the at least one contact section by means of at least two, at least essentially, arranged parallel to one another Dimensionally stable steering lever is displaceable in parallel, on the one hand on the contact section and on the other hand on the assigned shell section manually operable actuators are pivotally mounted, and that Fixing means are assigned to the steering levers, which are the steering levers and the at least an abutment section relative to the shell sections on the head establish. The protective helmet according to the invention is a motorcycle helmet, a bicycle helmet, as a construction helmet, as a military helmet, as a protective helmet for the police or fire brigade as well as a sports helmet for various sports such as horse riding, mountain sports, Water sports, air sports or skiing can be used. The at least one dimensionally stable Shell section can be one-piece part depending on the design of the helmet shell the helmet shell or rigidly attached additional part. The mechanical Adjustment device in connection with the support arrangement ensures a Safe function with simultaneous simple, preferably manual operability. According to the invention, it is possible that only one contact section a certain head contour section is arranged adjustable, so that when Put on the protective helmet opposite shell sections or contact sections the helmet shell is already against the head contour and then the adjustable system section is advanced until the jamming Seat is achieved on the head contour. For mechanical adjustment, each a shift of the system section to the head contour or from Head contour achieved away, all kinds of suitable adjustment mechanisms be provided. So it is possible that the at least one contact section as a vice-like end piece on one of the helmet shell or the shell section inwardly penetrating screw is positioned, screwing in or unscrew the parallel displacement of the system section causes. With several adjustable system sections also on the shell sections and on the outside of the contact sections arranged, corresponding inclined planes are provided, the when the system sections are shifted, slide along each other and Effect parallel displacements of the system sections relative to the head contour.
The definition of the adjustment device and thus of the at least one system section in the respectively set position in which the system section against the contour of the head can be done by self-locking measures of the adjustment device or be provided by additional fixation means, which at removing the protective helmet must be solved again. The invention Solution is particularly advantageous for motorcycle helmets because despite the great wind pressure on the safety helmet when riding a motorcycle Obtained positioning on the head by the at least one support section remains. In the event of a motorcycle accident, the protective helmet can be replaced by an appropriate one Release of the mechanical adjustment device and thus of the system section can be gently removed from the head in a simple manner. The dimensionally stable shell sections can be used especially for motorcycle helmets also thanks to the energy-absorbing foam material inside the helmet shell be formed because the foam material has sufficient dimensional stability has to enable the support of the system sections. A movement the actuators also advantageously bring about the desired parallel displacement the contact sections towards the head contour or away from the head contour. The Fixing agents ensure the attachment of the system sections in the desired Position so that the clamping effect is achieved on the head.
In an embodiment of the invention are in the range of the maximum extent Head (meridian area) at least two dimensionally stable shell sections opposite sides of the head are provided, which are fixed to the helmet shell are connected, and are on the opposite shell sections at least two between the contour of the head and the shell sections arranged and supported on the inside of the respective shell section Positioned system sections that flank a partial circumference of the head contour, and the contact sections are each one by means of the adjusting device assigned manually adjustable support arrangement, by means of which the system sections Can be moved parallel to the head contour and in the set one Position can be determined. The arrangement of the shell sections in the area of maximum head circumference, in which the system sections are inevitably arranged are, allows a secure mounting of the safety helmet on one human head, the adjustability of the system sections the adjustment and securing the safety helmet for different head sizes. The contact sections are preferably laterally to one Head, i.e. arranged above the ear area of the head. In the same However, the contact sections can also be on opposite sides be arranged from the forehead and the back of the head. The lateral arrangement of the system sections has the advantage of increased positioning stability of the Hard hat on the head, as these opposite long sides of the Ensure a larger contact surface for the contact sections. Preferably is each of the two opposite plant sections provided with a manually adjustable support arrangement.
In a further embodiment of the invention, at least one steering lever is in the area at least one hinge arrangement for pivoting storage of the steering lever with an elastic return device, by means of the the steering lever and the associated system section when the Fixing elements without stress into an outer, adjacent to the shell section End position to be moved. The elastic is advantageous Reset device through elastic preload of the steering lever in the area achieved the hinge arrangement, so that the contact section after loosening the fixing elements inevitably due to the elastic preload of the steering lever is moved outwards and thus releases the head.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the steering levers are in the range of Hinge arrangement designed resiliently resettable, one-piece plastic tabs. These plastic bottles are advantageous with their opposite Tab ends fixed on the shell sections and on the contact sections and angled in the area of the hinge arrangement in a simple manner, by appropriate choice of materials and manufacture of plastic bottles the desired elastic preload in the area of the bends, which represent the hinge arrangements.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the positioning extensions as a train or Pressure elements designed for manual adjustment of the system sections, the passed through the shell sections or the helmet shell and at corresponding Fixing points on an outside of the shell sections or Helmet shell can be fixed. For this purpose, train or Printing tapes are used.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the tension or compression elements Velcro fasteners assigned. This is a particularly simple and reliable Design.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the positioning extensions are central Adjustment arrangement guided on the helmet shell or on the shell sections, which has an actuating element that synchronizes and synchronizes the positioning processes moves and sets. This will adjust the system sections simplified, with only a simple operation with one hand is required. The synchronized adjustment ensures also a smooth movement of the system sections on the opposite Sides of the head and thus a symmetrical definition of the Hard hat on the head.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the positioning extensions protrude toward the back of the head down and are below the meridian area at the level of an occipital area of the head to the helmet shell. The occipital area continues at the largest bulge of the back of the head and extends from there to below. By guiding the positioning processes in this occipital area, a Additional protection of the protective helmet on the head is achieved by the positioning extensions reach under the largest bulge of the back of the head at least partially and thus a safe positioning of the protective helmet against a simple one Remove the protective helmet upwards.
In a further embodiment of the invention, two contact sections are at the level of the bakery arranged on opposite sides of the head. This configuration is especially for the use of the protective helmet as a motorcycle full face helmet an advantage, since this configuration ensures the safety of the protective helmet is further improved on the head. The holding elements are preferred provided in the cheeks / jaw area of the head and are thus at the same height as known cheek pads on motorcycle full-face helmets.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the contact sections on their Provide padding on the side facing the head contour. This will make the Helmet wearing comfort improved without reducing the holding function.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the tension or compression elements are at least partially designed to be elastically stretchable or compressible. This will the wearing comfort of the hard hat improves because the tension or pressure elements Damping or compensating functions can take over and thus Loads on the outer helmet shell only weakened on the system sections transferred in the area of the head contour.

For secure positioning and mounting of the motorcycle full-
diesem drei parallel zueinander ausgerichtete Kunststofflaschen

15 gezwungen. Die drei Kunststofflaschen 17 jedes
Meridianhalteelementes 7 sind formstabil ausgeführt, so
daß sie das Meridianhalteelement 7 gegenüber dem Schalenabschnitt
15 und damit gegenüber der Helmschale 2, 3 nach außen
abstützen. The two arcuate and along the meridian area

sichert. Neben der beschriebenen mechanischen Verstelleinrichtung,
die eine stufenlose Parallelverlagerung des Meridianhalteelementes
7 bewirkt, können auch andere mechanische
Verstelleinrichtungen vorgesehen sein, die stufenweise
Verstellungen erzielen. To prevent the
As can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4, the drawstrings are

zusammensetzt. Wie auch bei der verstellbaren Stützanordnung
der Meridianhalteelemente 7 sind die Kunststofflaschen
der Parallelogrammführungen 12 an einem Schalenabschnitt
16 schwenkbeweglich gelagert, der starr mit der Innenkontur
der Helmschale 2, 3 etwa auf Höhe des Kinnbügels 5
verbunden ist. Die inneren Stirnenden der Kunststofflaschen
der Parallelogrammführung 12 sind an dem Trägerstreifen des
jeweiligen Backenhalteelementes 8 schwenkbeweglich gelagert,
Structure and adjustment function of the

In
The
Ergänzend zu den beschriebenen Meridianhalteelementen 7 und
Backenhalteelementen 8 oder alternativ zu diesen Backenhalteelementen
8 können auch weitere Anlageabschnitte im Kopfscheitelbereich
oder an anderen Stellen angeordnet sein, die
ebenfalls mittels mechanischer Verstelleinrichtungen zwischen
dem jeweiligen Schalenabschnitt und der Kopfkontur parallel
verlagerbar sind. Anordnung und Anzahl der verstellbaren Anlageabschnitte
sind abhängig vom Einsatzgebiet des jeweiligen
Schutzhelmes und der daraus resultierenden Gestaltung des
Schutzhelmes.
einsetzbar. In addition to the described
Another embodiment of the invention provides that as contact sections in the side flank sections of the Meridian area flexible woven support bands provided are led to the front and back to the safety helmet and subsided there by means of mechanical adjustment means or can be stretched depending on the respective head size. In addition, these support bands can be used in the occipital area be deflected, whereby the back of the head is still enclosed is. The support bands are supported by the introduction and transfer of the respective tensile forces to the stable Helmet shell.
In a further embodiment of the invention is a Protective helmet similar to Fig. 7 is provided, the drawstrings only passed through the foam shell of the protective helmet are, however, within the outer, dimensionally stable The helmet shell remains. The adjustment mechanism is in a recess the outer helmet shell, so that a manual External operation is possible, but at the same time the mechanical control elements, i.e. especially the drawstrings, inside the outer helmet shell and thus between the Foam shell and the helmet shell remain. The redirection of the Tension elements between the outer helmet shell and the foam shell can be done with eyelets.
