Abstract

An automatic take-up method and mechanism for loop warp threads consists of feeding the threads through the comb after taking from a magazine such as a bobbin a folding then in two. The head and tail of each folded section are then passed through a warping element and then between the teeth of the comb. The folded sections of each thread are of approx. the same length, with one section kept vertical and the other horizontal. A cord can be threaded through the loop formed by each foled thread to keep it under tension as it is passed through the warping element and comb.

Description

The present invention relates to a method for the automatic retraction of warp threads and to a machine for implementing said method.

  • un groupe avec la passette, le sélecteur des lisses, le peigne, le dispositif pose-lamelles, le grappin pour fil, les magasins des lisses et des lamelles;
    Le rentrage, sur ces machines automatiques, requiert une intervention manuelle pour les opérations suivantes.
    Avant le rentrage:
  • positionnement de l'ensouple de la chaîne, des casse-fils et des cadres à lisses sur le groupe de support;
  • positionnement de l'enverjure, alignement des fils envergés de l'ensouple et fixation des fils ainsi alignés;
  • positionnement du support ainsi préparé et accrochage dans le groupe de commande;
  • positionnement et sélection du peigne.
    Pendant le rentrage:
  • contrôle visuel et déplacement manuel des fils rentrés;
It is known that the retraction of the warp threads consists in passing the threads taken from the beam of the warp through the strips of the chain breaker, the eyelets of the healds and the teeth of the comb. Since the entire operation requires considerable time, it is generally carried out outside the loom, after which the beam thus prepared is transferred and loaded onto the loom.
The automatic retraction of the warp threads is currently carried out either with three separate machines, one for each of the said operations and, therefore, with a machine for installing the slats, a machine for retracting the healds and a machine for stitching with the comb, or with one machine for all three operations simultaneously.
The main types of machine of the second type currently known, essentially include:
  • a group with the passette, the heald selector, the comb, the slat-laying device, the wire grapple, the heald and slat magazines;
  • a group with the support of the warp beam, heddle frames, the chain breaker and the spine.
    Tuck-in on these automatic machines requires manual intervention for the following operations.
    Before returning:
  • positioning of the chain beam, thread breakers and heddle frames on the support group;
  • positioning of the spine, alignment of the wires sent from the beam and fixing of the wires thus aligned;
  • positioning of the support thus prepared and hanging in the control group;
  • positioning and selection of the comb.
    During reentry:
  • visual inspection and manual movement of the retracted wires;
  • knotting of threads following breakage.
    After reentry:
  • support group dropout.
    After which, the beam, the chain breaker, the comb and the heddle frames are transferred by means of carriages in the weaving room where they are placed on the loom.

These operations require the intervention of specialized personnel, the use of special accessories, at least two support groups to avoid prolonged stops of the control group and therefore an available space. considerable. All these requirements make these known automatic machines very expensive both for their construction and for their use, so that only large industrial groups can use them, since their continuous use or almost is necessary to justify an economically advantageous management.

No. 3,867,745 describes a process for re-entering threads of reduced length through the weaving elements of a loom, in a predetermined sequence, leaving the end of each thread for knotting the thread on the of the chain.

Furthermore, US Pat. No. 3,787,938 describes a device for tucking in threads of reduced length through the weaving elements of a loom, in a predetermined sequence, leaving the end of each thread for the knotting the thread on the warp beam.

The object of the present invention is to propose an automatic method of retracting the warp yarns for flat, open healds and a machine for implementing said method which is autonomous in its operation and therefore of reduced cost.

  • former des morceaux de fil pliés en deux et passer la tête et successivement la queue de chaque morceau dans une ou plusieurs lisses correspondantes et entre les dents correspondantes du peigne;
  • obtenir l'envergeage des fils des différents morceaux ainsi formés;
  • éloigner progressivement de la tête de rentrage les différents fils ainsi passés et envergés et les mettre en tension;
  • sélectionner les lisses de plusieurs magasins, les positionner en position de rentrage et, après le rentrage, les transférer à des cadres à lisses de groupes de cadres correspondants, en les maintenant toujours guidées;
This result was achieved in accordance with the invention by proposing a method which provides, in combination, for:
  • form pieces of wire folded in half and pass the head and successively the tail of each piece in one or more corresponding heddles and between the corresponding teeth of the comb;
  • get the threading of the different pieces thus formed;
  • gradually move the various threads thus passed and sent away from the re-entry head and tension them;
  • select the heddles from several magazines, position them in the retracting position and, after retracting, transfer them to heald frames groups of corresponding managers, keeping them always guided;
  • position the comb and spread its teeth for the passage of the different wires.

Advantageously, said pieces of wire are obtained from a spool or from two spools of different color.

  • des moyens pour fournir à la passette la tête et ensuite la queue des morceaux de fil obtenus à partir d'une bobine avec un tireur de fil et un serre-fil avec cisailles; avec deux barres filetées horizontales, superposées, tournant en concordance pour supporter lesdits morceaux et les éloigner progressivement de la tête de rentrage, avec un dérailleur pour transférer les morceaux en formation dudit tireur de fil à ladite barre filetée inférieure; avec un mécanisme à manivelle oscillant pour enverger lesdits morceaux de fil; avec un tendeur pour tendre les fils pendant le rentrage;
  • un magasin pour ranger suspendue les lisses à rentrer et composé de plusieurs voies, avec chaque voie associée, c'est-à-dire communicante, avec un groupe correspondant de plusieurs cadres à lisses;
  • des moyens pour prélever séparément les lisses du paquet de lisses présentes sur chaque voie, avec un sélecteur à mouvement transversal alternatif par rapport au rail supérieur de la voie de manière à sélectionner la première lisse du paquet présent et l'amener jusqu'à la position de rentrage;
  • des moyens pour orienter et maintenir la lisse ainsi sélectionnée en position perpendiculaire à l'axe longitudinal de la passette afin d'en permettre le rentrage;
  • des moyens pour supporter le peigne horizontal, parallelement auxdits groupes de cadres à lisses et avec les dents verticales, et pour le positionner progressivement avec les dents à passer en correspondance de l'axe longitudinal la passette et d'un élément écarteur afin d'en permettre le passage en même temps que le rentrage de la lisse correspondante;
And the machine for implementing said method comprises in combination:
  • means for supplying the passette with the head and then the tail of the pieces of thread obtained from a spool with a thread puller and a thread clamp with shears; with two horizontal threaded bars, superimposed, rotating in concordance to support said pieces and gradually move them away from the re-entry head, with a derailleur to transfer the pieces in formation from said wire puller to said lower threaded bar; with an oscillating crank mechanism for sending said pieces of wire; with a tensioner to tension the threads during re-entry;
  • a store for storing the heddles suspended to enter and composed of several channels, with each associated channel, that is to say communicating, with a corresponding group of several heald frames;
  • means for separately removing the rails from the bundle of rails present on each track, with a selector with reciprocating transverse movement relative to the upper rail of the track so as to select the first stringer of the present pack and bring it to the retracting position;
  • means for orienting and maintaining the beam thus selected in a position perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the passette in order to allow it to be drawn in;
  • means for supporting the horizontal comb, parallel to said groups of heald frames and with the vertical teeth, and for gradually positioning it with the teeth to pass in correspondence of the longitudinal axis of the passette and of a spacer element so as to allow passage at the same time as the retraction of the corresponding beam;
  • means for bringing each reentry heald of the reentry head to one of the frames making up the corresponding group of heald frames and, for each track, with a switch with several rails with corresponding needle and two pushers acting respectively on the head and on the base of the arm to be transferred.

The advantages obtained thanks to the invention essentially consist in the fact that the tuck-in threads are obtained from a coil and therefore allow the elimination of the use of the warp beam and the corresponding accessories; that the wire used can be chosen as being the most suitable for tuck-in, especially with regard to its resistance, and thus making it possible to eliminate or at least to minimize breakage; that it is possible to prepare the trade in advance, that is to say even in the absence of a chain or for the production of samples; that the preparation operations are simpler and more economical compared to those required by the automatic machines known today, owing to the fact that they are limited to the positioning of the heald frames and of the comb, to the knotting and the laying of the strips , which can be done by any unskilled worker; that it is possible to quickly enter a large number of heddles and to arrange them according to any programmed storage.

The operation is as follows. The service selector 10 takes a rail 30 from one of the channels 11 and the vice 65 positions it with the eyelet 25 opposite the slot 97 'of the corresponding stop 97; simultaneously, the comb 16 is positioned with the teeth to pass opposite the free end of the passette 17 and with the spacer element 32 inserted between these teeth; after which the passette 17, in its forward stroke, is introduced between the teeth of the comb thus spaced apart, then the slot of the stop 97 and finally in the eyelet 25 of the stringer 30 until it reaches and takes the wire 5 ' which is provided to it by the display element of the wire 48; in the return stroke, the passette 17 retracts the heald and passes through the comb, after which it is stripped of the thread by the thread removal element 19. At this stage, the needle 14 of the 'switch 22, corresponding to the selector 10 which took the heald 30, predisposes the transfer thereof to the heald frame 2 of the corresponding group of frames which is predetermined by the handing-over and the pusher 73, which is associated with the pusher 73, the vice 65, the element for removing the wire 19 and the passette 17 is obtained by means of a variable speed motor 120 with interposition of the belt 121, the cams 111,114,116 and the rocker arms 104- 106 as illustrated in Figs. 23 to 25 of the accompanying drawings. It goes without saying that the technician in the art is well aware that in place of said cams, it is possible to use electric motors of the step-by-step type, programmed in an appropriate manner, and that the control for positioning and spacing of the teeth of the comb, correctly programmed, also allows the passage of several wires between the same teeth of the comb.
Once the tuck-in is complete, the tuck-in threads are blocked with two wooden slats with clips, then cut the said threads in correspondence with their loop and the support with the threads sent, returned and passed through the comb is transferred to the weaving loom where the knotting is carried out with the threads of the warp beam and the laying of the breaker slats -chain.
