Description

The present invention relates to a device for the metered dispensing of liquids with a storage container in which the liquid is stored and a piston pump system connected to it as a fixed component, through which the liquid can be pumped out of the storage container.

It is known to dispense liquids via a closure cap with a piston metering device function, this closure cap being permanently or detachably assigned to the storage container containing the liquid to be dispensed (FR-A-1 064 626). The device can be compressed due to the chosen concept for the purpose of dispensing liquid via the piston tappet, the pressure forces being exerted on the one hand on these piston tappets and on the other hand via the storage container. Tractive forces for the opposing movement of the piston tappet are dispensable on the one hand, since the piston is moved in this direction by internal compression springs, and on the other hand precisely not possible due to the lack of a correspondingly provided measure. For these reasons, among other things, such a metering measure is not particularly suitable for metering e.g. of beverage concentrates with another substance to achieve high mixing accuracy.

Highly precise dosing devices are preferably suitable and necessary for vending machines with which carbonated water with beverage concentrates be mixed with a soft drink, to provide the beverage concentrates in a quantity-controlled manner from a storage container for the mixing process. In this context, it is particularly important to use the simplest possible means, in addition to the exact metering of the carbonated water, to precisely meter the beverage concentrates to be dispensed in order to achieve the desired mixing ratio for the beverage to be provided with the required accuracy. This mixing ratio should reach the standard that the comparable finished drinks put on the market have in bottles. In particular, it must be taken into account in such devices that the mixing ratio between different beverage concentrates and the added carbonated water is different.

Dosing chamber dispensers for dispensing beverage concentrates have become known for use in vending machines (DE-A-25 44 671, DE-A-34 09 142, DE-A-36 22 745). In their operating position, these metering chamber dispensers are arranged on a storage container with the dispensing opening directed downwards. By means of a magnet system, a control slide within this metering chamber dispensing device is lifted from a lower position, in which the outlet-side flow opening is closed, to an upper position, in which the inlet-side flow opening is closed, so that the metering chamber contents are released by gravity the reservoir was filled, can also flow out of the metering chamber dispenser by gravity. The respective dispensing volume of the beverage concentrate is compensated for by a counter-flowing air volume. With metering chamber dispensing devices of this type, relatively low-volume dispensing quantities can be provided with low control forces to be used - conveying forces are not required.

The known metering chamber dispensing devices can be reduced in size extremely problematically due to the technical circumstances with regard to their size and thus the dispensing volume. In order to be able to dispense with supplied conveying forces, it is also necessary for reliable metered volume dispensing that the volume of beverage concentrate dispensed is at least approximately compensated for by air volume.

It is also known (US-A-3 667 499) to withdraw and dispense liquid from a flexible reservoir using a pump system. With the help of such a measure, a storage container with flexible walls can be emptied without air being able to or having to flow in to the volume compensation in the storage container. However, this known arrangement is not suitable and is also not intended as a usable metering device, for example for beverage concentrates to achieve this. In addition to the metering chamber dispensing devices mentioned, appropriately designed piston pump systems guarantee the exact metering of volume when conveying and dispensing liquids.

The object of the present invention is now to provide a device for the metered dispensing of liquids, in which the guarantee is given to the maximum extent that the liquid stored in a storage container with respect to the dispensing volume is dispensed in a liquid-specific manner by a standardized dispensing drive system. In addition, the device should meet the requirements for simple and functionally reliable handling.

A device that meets these requirements is characterized in accordance with the invention in that for the connection of the device to a device with a standardized drive device both on the actuating member of the piston pump system and on the piston pump housing, a mounting and coupling counterpart for the front, plug-in and interlocking connection are arranged on a stationary counterpart of a device housing and on a counterpart of an actuating member of the stationary device drive device.

The measure that the piston pump system is attached to it as an integral part of the storage container and is designed to be liquid type-specific with regard to the dispensing volume per working stroke is achieved in that the dispensing container storing the dispensing liquid can be connected with its piston pump system to a standardized drive device, whereby it is ensured that that the liquid-type-specific quantity is output per working cycle via this standardized drive device. This measure is particularly and of great importance when the device according to the invention for dispensing in storage containers Stocked beverage concentrates are used in vending machines in which these beverage concentrates are mixed with a basic liquid, eg carbonated water, to prepare a beverage in the ratio specified by the beverage concentrate used. In this case it is namely desirable to replace empty storage containers with new containers with the same type of beverage concentrate, but in particular also to use storage containers with different beverage concentrates as desired by the user. Operating errors that could lead to incorrect mixing results are excluded when using the device according to the invention. The fact that the piston pump system has plug connections for a stationary (device-fixed) mounting of the piston pump housing and for a coupling to an actuating member of a stationary (device-fixed) drive device serves for functionally simple handling by operators. The corresponding mounting and coupling counterparts are expediently arranged in the device housing in such a way that the piston pump system with the storage container arranged thereon can be used as far as possible from the front.

According to a preferred embodiment, the device according to the invention is characterized in that the storage container contains a film bag which surrounds the stored liquid in a volume-adapted manner. In particular with regard to transportability, stackability and manageability, the film sack of the storage container is closed off by a cuboid-shaped container with shape-retaining container walls, allowing atmospheric compensation to the interior. In connection with a piston pump system, it is even possible to use a film bag without interior ventilation, since the suction force transmitted to the stored liquid via the piston pump system ensures a reliable dispensing volume, even if different opposing forces are caused by the walls of the in the different folding situations when the film bag is folded Foil bags are caused.

According to another preferred embodiment, the device according to the invention is characterized in that the piston pump system is connected to the reservoir via a conical, elastic intermediate piece, which holds the piston pump system in its working position outside the shape-retaining reservoir limitation and in the transport and storage position within the shape-retaining reservoir limitation.

Die Verbindungen des Konus 6 zu den Wandungen 4 führt zu einer zweckmäßigen und gewünschten Handhabungsstabilität.1 is a storage container 1 for receiving a beverage concentrate 2, made up of an inner container with flexible walls 3 and a box-shaped container enclosing this inner container 3 with essentially dimensionally stable and thus essentially the outer contours of the container walls 4. The flexible Walls 3 of the inner container can be compared to the stored output volume - shown additionally by the dashed line - or the respective remaining volume - shown as a solid line - of the beverage concentrate 2. It is important that air can get between the walls 4 and the walls 3 through cracks, openings or through porosity in the areas of the walls 4, so that the walls 3 can follow the decreasing volume of the beverage concentrate 2. In the area of the dispensing point 5, the dispensing device 7 is firmly connected to the walls 3 and to the walls 4 of the storage container 1 via a cone 6 made of elastic material. The connection of the cone 6 to the walls 4 leads to an expedient and desired handling stability.

In the transport and storage position, the cone 6 'with the dispensing device 7' is placed inside the storage container 1, as the dash-dotted representation of the cone 6 'is intended to illustrate. In the working position in which the storage container 1 is inserted into an automatic beverage dispenser and in which beverage concentrate is to be dispensed by actuating the dispensing device 7 for the purpose of mixing, for example with carbonated water, in order to provide a soft drink, the cone 6 with the dispensing device 7 is as shown with solid lines, turned outwards.

The arrangement described with reference to FIG. 2 is part of a vending machine for dispensing beverage concentrate 2 from a storage container 1, this beverage concentrate being miscible with a carbonated water to give a soft drink. Furthermore, one or more storage containers 1 for beverage concentrates 2 are arranged in a storage space 9 of the drinks machine appliance housing 8. In order to ensure the desired mixing ratio with the further beverage component, namely the carbonated water, a piston pump system is used as the dispensing device 7, by means of which the stocked beverage concentrate 2 is dispensed and quantitatively dispensed.

The piston pump system 7 consists of a housing 13, which is held in the dispensing area of the vending machine in the device housing 8 so that it can be inserted from the front. For this purpose, the housing 13 of the piston pump system 7 has a groove 14 into which a shoulder 15 of the device housing 8 engages in a horseshoe shape. Within this housing 13 of the piston pump system 7, a delivery piston 16 is arranged to be axially displaceable between limit stops. These stops determine the delivery stroke, which determines the delivery volume for the beverage concentrate 2 to be dispensed per work cycle. An inflow opening 17 in the housing 13 of the piston pump system 7 extends to the storage container 1, which is only indicated, and is concentrically aligned with a central passage 18 in the delivery piston 16, so that a shaft of a control piston 19 can be axially displaceably guided therein. The axial movement between the control piston 19 and the delivery piston 16 is in turn limited by stops 27. The control piston 19 is driven via a lever 20, which engages with its one lever end 21 in a fork-shaped manner in a groove 22 of the control piston 19. The lever 20 is mounted about an axis 23 arranged in the device housing 8 and is driven by an eccentric drive 24, which is gripped by the second lever arm 25 of the lever 20, by rotation in the direction of the arrow.

If the eccentric 24 rotates further from the position shown in FIG. 2, the working piston 16 is also moved downward via the stop region 26, so that the beverage concentrate 2 is sucked out of the reservoir 8 into the piston pump system 7 via the inflow opening 17 . When the eccentric 24 rotates further, the upper shaft of the control piston 19 initially reaches the area of the inflow opening 17 and closes it. Upon further upward movement of the control piston 19, the stop areas 27 between the control piston 19 and the delivery piston 16 are brought together, so that the delivery piston 16 is now moved upward with the control piston 19. The beverage concentrate volume originally sucked into the piston pump system 7 is conveyed via lateral channels 28 in the control piston 19 to a central delivery channel 29 in the control piston 19. From this central dispensing channel 29, the beverage concentrate reaches the outside in an area in which it is mixed with carbonated water, which is also supplied, to form a beverage. Any number of work cycles can be started immediately series and counting, for which an extremely precise determination and assignment of the output quantity of the individual work cycles as well as the total of the work cycles can be carried out.

The fixed assignment of the dispensing device 7 to the respective storage container 1 and thus to the beverage concentrate stored in this container 1 serves to ensure that the beverage concentrate volume to be dispensed by the dispensing device per working cycle or working cycles is directly related to the type of the respective beverage concentrate and thus the mixing ratio for what is to be provided Soft drink can be designed. The parts of the dispensing device 1 are preferably made of plastic.
