Abstract

Because formerly known forks are unwieldy and not effective enough, owing to the unsatisfactory shape and arrangement of the prongs, this fork has according to the invention a fork blade -1- which is straight in the longitudinal direction, which has six wedge-shaped prongs directed towards with the tip of the fork, which are in series on one longitudinal side -2- and are at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the fork, whereby the longitudinal direction of the prongs results in more dexterous and more ergonomic use and the six prongs have a greater effective width, and which on the other longitudinal side -3- comprises a closed continuous surface which is bent up in a longitudinal trough shape and whose edge runs in a curve to the point of the fork, whereby the straight and closed surface makes it simpler to push food on and also allows flat spreading and scraping and the curved edge can also be used to advantage in curves and on uneven surfaces, and the trough shape also results in a more stable position of the food and the spoon function, and in which the tip of the front fork prong -4- ends at the same point as the longitudinal axis of the fork, so that it can be precisely and easily pushed in and firmly caught by rotation. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a fork for cutlery and similar uses,
mainly in the kitchen and food sector.

The forks known to date have two to four tines of the same length, which stand on a crossbar in the longitudinal direction of the fork, with all tine tips running side by side and thereby acting simultaneously in a line perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the fork. It is known that the two outer tines are partially widened and the crossbar enlarged to improve the side functions and the surface effect. Furthermore, special forks are known which have two or three straight tines.

These known designs of the fork do not meet all the requirements for the economic expediency of good cutlery and kitchen appliances with the most versatile and convenient use possible, as well as safe and skillful handling and good absorption capacity.

Because the tine tips act in a line perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the fork, the line of action and control running across the arm and hand through the longitudinal axis of the fork is bent at a right angle at the tine tips, thereby impairing the skill and accuracy of handling.

Because the front of the fork is too narrow to slide the food on, and the long side through Bending the tines only partially on flat surfaces, there are many defects.
The conventional fork lacks the tip and therefore the pinpoint accuracy. Their side by side and at the same time piercing tines make impaling difficult.

This results in the task of creating a handier and more effective fork, which is provided with a tip and additional side functions.

The invention -CH-A-165460- by Madame Audemars, Le Brassus (Suisse), which must be regarded as the closest prior art, does not contain any improvement in the fork, because it mainly focuses on the knife blade.
In contrast, the present invention primarily improves the functions of the fork, which makes the invented fork more effective and versatile, particularly by means of a tip and the larger number of tines and their wedge profile and the lateral arrangement of the tines.

The invention solves this problem in that the straight fork blade in the longitudinal direction on one longitudinal side has six tines with a wedge profile directed towards the fork tip, which are at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the fork, whereby the line of action of the tines runs in the longitudinal direction of the fork and the control line in the Longitudinal axis up to the fork tip is maintained, which results in the more skillful and ergonomic use, wherein the other long side runs out in an arc to the fork tip and the fork blade has a closed continuous surface along the other long side, which is bent in a longitudinally-trough-shaped manner, whereby the side functions are increased and improved, because the straight fork blade in the longitudinal direction makes it easier to slide the food on smoothly and also enables flat brushing and scraping.
The arch that runs from the fork tip allows the invented fork to be used appropriately, even in curves and bumps. The upstand on this long side gives the food a stable position, and it can also be used for dividing and notching food.

It runs so that the invented fork can be punctured more easily and more easily and can also be easily fixed by turning it slightly
the tip of the front fork tine exactly in the longitudinal axis of the fork.

die Zinken so stabil machen, daß beide beträchtlich dünner als bei anderen Gabeln sind, wodurch daß Einstechen, Einkerben und Trennen erleichtert werden;
Further advantages are that the six tines have a greater range of action, and that the trough shape and the wedge shape of the tines are the fork blade and
make the tines so stable that they are both considerably thinner than other forks, making it easier to pierce, notch and cut;
and that the tip of the front fork tapering in the longitudinal axis of the fork provides good guidance.

The following two drawings show a preferred embodiment of the invention
in Figure 1 as a top view and
in Figure 2 as a perspective view
that the straight fork blade in the longitudinal direction according to the invention has six tines with a wedge profile on one longitudinal side (2), which are at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the fork,
and that the fork blade (1) ends with the tip of the front fork tine (4) in the longitudinal axis of the fork,
and that the fork blade (1) along the other long side (3) has a closed, continuous surface which is bent in a longitudinally trough-shaped manner and the other long side (3) ends in an arc to the fork tip (4).
