Eine derartige Vorrichtung ist beispielsweise aus der DE-OS 35 07 757 bekannt. Die bekannte Vorrichtung weist eine Formbüste als Aufhängevorrichtung für das Kleidungsstück und vier in gleichmäßigem Abstand um eine durch die Formbüste laufende Mittellinie verteilt angeordnete Formteile für die Saumspanneinrichtung auf. Die Formteile sind durch pneumatisch zu betätigende Antriebszylinder von der Mittellinie des Kleidungsstückes und der Formbüste nach außen zu bewegen. Die Formteile werden bei dieser Ausfahrbewegung durch jeweils eine Führungsleiste geführt, die sich senkrecht zur Mittellinie nach außen erstreckt. Zum Glätten wird das Kleidungsstück über die Aufhängevorrichtung gehängt. Der untere Saum des Kleidungsstückes befindet sich außerhalb der vollständig in Richtung auf die Mittellinie zurückgefahrenen Formteile. Dann wird der Antrieb der Formteile betätigt, so daß diese sich von der Mittellinie weg bewegen, an den Saum anlegen und diesen bei ihrer Auswärtsbewegung mitnehmen, bis die gewünschte Spannung im Saum erreicht wird.
