Abstract

The press-belt filter has an arcuate entry gap 6 in the region of an arcuate sliding guide 3 which is formed by a perforated plastic shell. This plastic has very favourable sliding properties. The arcuate entry part corresponds approximately to a circle sector of 15 DEG . The frictional stresses along the screening belt running on the sliding guide are consequently not very high. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a drainage device according to the preamble of claim 1. Such a device has become known from German Patent No. 21 38 072. This device has already been improved in that the inlet box, which the suspension in front of the drainage drum area of feeds the dewatering drum directly around the sieve belt, has assigned an area in front of the approach point of the other sieve belt to this sieve belt, has given up the suspension to the first-mentioned sieve belt and has formed an inlet gap directly in front of the dewatering drum between the first and the second sieve belt by suitable deflection of the second sieve belt Has. As a result, it was possible to collect liquid passing through the first-mentioned sieve belt in the area of the feed device and thus remove the suspension at an early stage.

The object of the invention is to design such a device in such a way that a higher throughput is achieved and, above all, the input material density can be reduced by greater effectiveness of the initial drainage process.

This object is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of patent claim 1. A particularly favorable development of the invention is specified with the features of claim 2.

It is the case that the amount of suspension flowing into the inlet gap determines the throughput of the dewatering device to a large extent, if one disregards the regulation or setting of a number of revolutions of the dewatering drum or a circulation speed of the sieve belts. The measure according to the invention ensures that a relatively gentle increase in the pressing pressure of the sieve belts is achieved in the area of the arcuate sliding guide at the inlet gap until it receives the first, higher value on the dewatering drum 4. As a result, the liquid is squeezed out very well and a kind of flow is formed, whereas otherwise it could easily happen that the suspension sprayed out laterally from the inlet gap. This arcuate sliding guide is favorably guided in the area of the inlet gap over a 15 o circle sector.

The invention is explained below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing, the figure representing a basic cross section through the band pressure filter.

The belt pressure filter has two screen belts 1 and 2, which partly wrap around both the drainage drum 4, which is perforated on its circumference, and the downstream press rolls 9-13. The radially inner sieve belt 2 is still guided over deflection rollers 25 and 27 and the radially outer sieve belt 1 with respect to the dewatering drum around the dewatering rollers 28-31. In the area of the dewatering drum 4, an inlet gap 6 is formed, which is directed downwards, ie radially inwards, with respect to the loop of the sieve belt 2 lying directly against the dewatering drum 4 by an arranged there arcuate sliding guide, preferably made of slidable plastic material and partially perforated with sieves. As a result, the water (liquid) pressed out of the suspension in the inlet gap can flow into the receiving trough 38. The suspension is fed from the inlet box 40, to which it is fed through the inlet nozzle 41, onto the sieve belt 2 which is tightly fitting on the dewatering drum 4. The amount of liquid which is already flowing out here and which passes through the sieve belt 2 also reaches the collecting box 38.

The drainage drum 4 has a perforated circumference, a screen covering preferably being placed over a perforated cylinder. The drainage drum is closed off at the side by plates 34 provided with outlet openings 35. The drainage drum is supported at its ends in a bearing 32, which are supported on the upper support bracket 20.

Of the downstream press rolls 9-11 of the lower row and 12 and 13 of the upper row, two adjacent press rolls of the two rows each form a press nip with one another. The press rolls 14 and 15 of the upper row are supported by hydraulic piston-cylinder units 14 and 15 against the upper support bracket 20. The central axes of the pressing members 14 and 15 are inclined at an angle of about 70 o and in the wire running direction to the connecting plane of the lower series of nip rollers 9-11. This results in them pressing the upper press rolls 11 and 13 against the lower press rolls 9-11 in such a way that two press nips are formed on the upper press rolls.

Rising pressures in the order of the press nips between 100 and 600 N / cm are used.

56 an.The squeezed water (liquid) is collected in the lower collecting trough 36 and discharged via the discharge nozzle 37. The entire device is supported on a base plate 38 by means of supports 45 and 46 which engage the lower transverse support beam 21. In this case, the upper cross support beam 20 is also supported on the lower cross support beam 21 via lateral support columns 22 and 23. The deflection rollers, as indicated in the case of the deflection roller 25, 33, are each held via similar bearings, with the exception here of the deflection roller 28, which is supported by a pivot lever 51 and a hydraulic pressure element 52 for the purpose of producing the fabric tension. The same applies to the upper deflection roller 27 of the other sieve belt 2, for which the lever 53 and the pneumatic pressure element 54 are provided. These pneumatic pressure elements in turn engage levers 54 and 56, respectively.

The radius of curvature R of the arcuate sliding guide 3 is at least three times the outer radius of the dewatering drum 4, and the outer radius R of the dewatering drum 4 is at least twice the smallest outer radius 1 of the press rolls 9-13.

This belt pressure filter also has the advantage that a relatively low starting material density can be used due to the relatively gentle, technologically very favorable dewatering process in the area of the inlet gap 6. Nevertheless, due to the good drainage effect, almost the same starting material density is obtained as with previous drainage systems of this type. Depending on the type of material, the input material density can be between 2.5 and 2.9%. The radius of curvature k of the arcuate sliding guide 3 is at least three times the outer radius of the dewatering drum 4, and the outer radius R of the dewatering drum 4 is at least twice the smallest outer radius i of the press rolls 9-13.
