Definitions
- the invention relates to a coating device according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a variety of coating devices of this type are known in the prior art, each using a doctor blade which is applied to the web, e.g. Paper or cardboard, applied coating slip smoothes.
- a round squeegee or a doctor blade can be used as a squeegee. Both elements have their special areas of application, however, the main disadvantage of the coating blade is the strong, sometimes uneven wear.
- the object of the invention is to provide a device in which a uniform stroke application is achieved even over the operating period.
- doctor blades according to the Swedish patent 436 593 to design the doctor blade as a relatively long band which is guided over spools and to continuously change the working area of the doctor blade by winding or unwinding onto or from the spools.
- the wear is relatively low, but in any case is kept completely uniform, so that the scraper blade material has a very long service life.
- doctor blades are used as crepe scrapers, with their working edge practically against the paper, i.e. against its direction of movement, so that its creped surface results.
- This doctor blade can therefore be completely smooth and can be easily wound on a spool.
- doctor blades In the case of doctor blades, such a simple design is not possible, since they are set in the direction of the movement (web path) of the paper web, so that special precautions have to be taken to fix the doctor blade. Even the winding up of a longer squeegee tape does not seem to be easily possible.
- a squeegee 3 designed as a doctor blade band is in each case mounted or held in a squeegee holder 4 in such a way that it can move in a longitudinal direction but cannot deviate in the transverse direction.
- the doctor blade strip 3 forms a loop, at the ends of which a rope 5 is fastened, which is guided over a winding drum 6 or 7.
- Each of these drums can be driven by a motor, for example an electric motor, preferably a stepping motor.
- the counter-roller 1, which does not show the web of material, near the part of the loop of the squeegee belt 3, is guided parallel to this counter-roller and - as can be seen in FIG.
- doctor tape 3 By winding the doctor tape 3 on one of the drums 7 or 6 or vice versa at a very low speed of e.g. A thorough cleaning of the squeegee tape is possible at 2 to 10 cm / min.
- a very long doctor blade 5 is used, which can be wound on drums 19, 20 which are arranged on both sides of the doctor blade 2.
- the drums are evenly displaced to the same extent as the winding of the squeegee tape 3 'in the direction of its axis of rotation, i.e. in the direction of the width of the squeegee tape, e.g. by being rotatably arranged on a threaded spindle 24 (see FIG. 6). This allows the doctor blade to be wound onto the drums despite the knobs or protrusions, i.e. practically in the form of a screw or screw line.
- the drums 19, 20 are then best driven via a toothed wheel set 21, 22 from an electric motor 23 via a spindle 25, for which a bearing 27 held in the bearing base 28 is provided.
- the threaded spindle guides the spindle 25 via its pin 26 and a bearing 29.
- the spindle 25 in turn has a bearing 29 for a lower pin 26 of the threaded spindle 24.
- the connection of toothed belt 31 and doctor blade band 3 ⁇ is indicated or provided in the vicinity of the turnbuckle 30. This is a very cheap arrangement because you only need a single drive for the pulley 32, which, however, must be designed to be movable.
- Cleaning devices for cleaning the doctor blade are preferably provided outside the working area 39 of the doctor blade or the counter roller 1.
- the first cleaning effect occurs due to a protrusion 38 of the counter-roller 1, against which the squeegee belt abuts due to its rectilinear guide 4 and which is kept free of the web. Incrustations, which can form in the area of the contact edges of the squeegee belt on the web, are scraped off continuously here.
- the feed of the doctor blade is about 10 to 15 cm / min.
- the doctor blade tape is of course cleaned before being wound onto the drums 6, 7 or 19, 20.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a coating device according to the preamble of
However, it has often been found that the doctor blade stroke in a doctor blade has irregularities that are not present in a roller doctor blade. Attempts have been made to achieve uniformity of the stroke by means of profile correction setting devices which make it possible to change the contact pressure of the coating blade locally, which has not always and completely succeeded.
The object of the invention is to provide a device in which a uniform stroke application is achieved even over the operating period.
This object is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of
It has been recognized that it is possible to continuously clean a squeegee strip laterally than it corresponds to the working length (the working area) of the doctor blade, and thus to remove attachments on the squeegee that lead to streaking.
It has already been provided for doctor blades according to the Swedish patent 436 593 to design the doctor blade as a relatively long band which is guided over spools and to continuously change the working area of the doctor blade by winding or unwinding onto or from the spools. As a result, the wear is relatively low, but in any case is kept completely uniform, so that the scraper blade material has a very long service life.
These doctor blades are used as crepe scrapers, with their working edge practically against the paper, i.e. against its direction of movement, so that its creped surface results. This doctor blade can therefore be completely smooth and can be easily wound on a spool. There are also no special, increased requirements for the fixing in the holder arranged in the region of the web guided over the counter roller.
In the case of doctor blades, such a simple design is not possible, since they are set in the direction of the movement (web path) of the paper web, so that special precautions have to be taken to fix the doctor blade. Even the winding up of a longer squeegee tape does not seem to be easily possible.

By winding the
Fig. 6).
In Fig. 7, an arrangement is shown in which the
Cleaning devices for cleaning the doctor blade are preferably provided outside the
Other cleaning devices that can be used are the commonly known ones, such as pressure jets that are sprayed onto the doctor blade from nozzles, and also scrapers. In this way, after the doctor blade has been reversed (reversing the direction of advance thereof), a cleaned part of the doctor blade is introduced into the work area.
19, 20 gereinigt. The feed of the doctor blade is about 10 to 15 cm / min. Preferably, the doctor blade tape is of course cleaned before being wound onto the
