Description

The invention relates to a cable duct for a desk or the like.

From US-A-4 094 561 a cable duct for a desk or the like is known, with a closable elongated opening for inserting or removing cables, a closure part being provided against the edge of the elongated opening. This closure part is attached at one end to an outer lip of the cable duct by gluing or heat welding. It covers the elongated opening of the cable duct and consists of a flexible plastic, in particular vinyl, and it can be deflected in an elastically yielding manner when a cable is inserted. This known cable channel is screwed horizontally to a table top, and the flexible closure part lies on the top of the table top in the assembled state. Such a construction is therefore less suitable where it is a matter of the vertical routing of cables in a cable duct.

Another lockable cable duct is known from DE-U-7 513 456. This known cable duct has an elongated opening, and a cover serves to close it, which can be clipped into this opening. Every time a cable is to be inserted or removed, this cover must be removed from the elongated opening along its entire length and then reinserted, which is labor-intensive.

The object of the invention is seen in providing a new cable duct.

According to the invention, this is achieved by a cable duct for a desk or the like, with a closable elongated opening for inserting or removing cables, with a Closure part for this opening, which is supported in the interior of the cable duct by a connecting part made of a substantially rigid plastic, in particular a hard PVC, and which has sections made of a flexible plastic, in particular made of a soft PVC, lying against the edges of the elongated opening which can be deflected elastically yielding when a cable is inserted. It is advantageous here that the connecting part made of the essentially rigid plastic can form a rigid partition in the cable duct, which can subdivide this into a section for high-voltage lines and a section for low-voltage lines.

An extraordinarily inexpensive solution is obtained according to the invention in that the closure part and the connecting part are co-extruded from an elastic or from a rigid plastic, in particular from a soft and a hard PVC. A one-piece part is thus obtained, the different sections of which are optimally adapted to their respective functions.

As usual, the table 10 has a table top 13, which is arranged here, for example, on a steel frame 14 to which the table legs 11 are also attached.

Hierzu hat die Halterung 16 auf ihrer Oberseite zwei Langlöcher 18 und 19.Directly below the frame 14, a holder 16 is rotatably arranged on the table leg 11 and supported downwards by a support ring 17 which is fastened on the table leg 11. Fig. 4 shows this bracket at 16 'with dashed lines in the swung-in state, in which it lies under the table 10, and with solid lines at 16 in the swung-out state, in which it can serve as a support for a table top or the like to be coupled. For this purpose, the holder 16 has two elongated holes 18 and 19 on its upper side.

On its underside, the holder 16 has a recess 22, which can be seen particularly well in FIG. 6. In the exemplary embodiment, it has approximately the shape of a circular ring segment with an extension of 90 °, and in it there is a projection 23 which extends radially outward from the central section 24 of the holder 16, but only over part of the circular ring sector, for example, as shown , about two thirds of the radial extent of this circular ring sector.

Anders gesagt, befindet sich bei der Halterung 16 die Aussparung 22 auf der Unterseite, während sie sich bei der Halterung 26 auf der Oberseite befindet, so daß diese Aussparungen einander zugewandt sind.1 shows, at the lower end of the table leg 11 there is a second holder 26 which is identical to the holder 16 and is arranged symmetrically to it, as shown in FIG. 1. In other words, the recess 22 is on the underside of the holder 16, while it is on the upper side of the holder 26, so that these recesses face each other.

As shown in FIG. 1, between the two brackets 16 and 26 there is a cable duct 30 which, as indicated, consists of sheet metal or plastic and is provided with holes 31, that is to say, for example, of so-called perforated sheet metal. The cross-sectional shape of this cable duct 30 is shown in FIG. 2, and it is selected so that it can be received by the recess 22 and the projection 23 approximately form-fitting. The exact shape of the cable duct 30, as well as the deviation from the shape of the recess 22 in the radial inner region, results from FIG. 2 in all details.

On the radial outside, the cable duct 30 has the shape of a circular cylinder section, and this has in its center an elongated opening 35 which extends over the entire length of the cable duct 30, that is to say from the holder 16 to the holder 26. The edges of the elongated opening are protected by plastic parts 36 applied to them, for example made of soft PVC.

Around the protrusion 23, the cable duct 30 forms a separating web 40 which is approximately complementary to this protrusion and which partly divides the interior of the cable duct 30 into two equally large and symmetrical cable chambers 41 and 42.

A plastic part 45, which is shown in cross section in FIG. 3, is used to close the elongated opening 35. For attachment to the separating web 40, it has a tuning fork-shaped section 46 with two fork tines 47. This section 46 is made of a relatively hard PVC, which can be deformed only slightly, so that the fork tines 47 after being pushed onto the separating web 40 tightly enclose and a non-positive connection with the separator 40 is formed.

Fig. 2. The section 46 is adjoined by a section 48 which runs approximately perpendicularly thereto, with an upper part 49 and a lower part 50 in FIG. 3, the free ends 51 and 52 of which are complementary to the plastic edges 36 of the cable duct 30 and in fit against their inner sides, cf. Fig. 2. In contrast to section 46, section 48 is made of a soft, elastic PVC, so that its parts 49 and 50 can be easily pressed inwards for inserting or removing a cable, thereby creating a corresponding opening that can be opened then then closes again by itself because part 49 or part 50 automatically returns to its original position - shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.

As clearly shown in FIG. 2, the section 46, together with the prongs 47, forms an insulating partition in the cable duct 30 and separates the two chambers 41 and 42 from one another.

During manufacture, sections 46 and 48 of part 45 are extruded together, which is also referred to as coextrusion.

Naturally, the part 45 is not limited to the special shape shown, but can be optimally adapted to the respective needs.

The bracket 26 is attached to the table leg 11 by unscrewing its lower slide 50, which is designed as a screw part. The bracket 26 can then be pushed onto the table leg 11, holding the cable duct 30 in place. A ring 51 made of an elastic material, e.g. made of foam rubber, so that the two brackets 16 and 26 are urged towards each other by an elastic bias.

It is particularly advantageous that the cable duct 12 according to the invention can be pivoted out for installation under the table, which greatly simplifies the insertion or removal of cables. After assembly, the cable duct is simply pivoted back under the table 10, where it does not interfere.

Naturally, the parts 49, 50 could also bear against the outside of the opening 35 and would then be deflected outwards during assembly. In the same way, further modifications and modifications are possible without leaving the scope of the invention.
