Definitions
- the invention relates to a cable duct for preferably horizontal mounting on a piece of furniture, in particular on a table provided with a frame.
- a table with a horizontal cable channel is known from DE-Gbm 75 13 456.
- the latter is in the form of an extruded aluminum tube which has a longitudinal slot on one side.
- This tube forms a footrest for a desk, and its left end and right end are each rotatably mounted on a side part of the desk.
- This makes it possible to turn this aluminum tube by 90 ° in order to insert or remove the cables more easily.
- the disadvantage here is that the cable duct is clearly visible and is also located near the floor where it can be easily damaged. It is also difficult to retrofit it, and the cables must also be routed up through the side parts of the desk to the table top.
- this object is achieved in a cable duct mentioned at the outset in that it is designed so that it can be hung on the frame of the piece of furniture. Because the cable duct is designed to be hooked onto the frame of the piece of furniture, it is largely invisible from the outside after assembly. It can easily be retrofitted and removed again, its ends preferably being open so that the cables can be passed on directly from these ends, e.g. B. to a vertical cable duct. You can also easily on such a cable duct electrical devices are connected, which are located on the table top, e.g. B. computers, telephones, laboratory equipment, etc. In this case, a cable duct according to the invention can advantageously be designed so large that a multiple socket can be accommodated directly in it.
- the cable duct is formed from an elastic material and is dimensioned such that it rests in the suspended state with its non-suspended region with a prestress against an element of the piece of furniture. In this way, the cable duct is pressed under prestress into the corner between the frame and the table top and assumes a stable rest position there, even if it is heavily loaded by several cables.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 show a part of a table 10 with a frame 11 made of steel tubes with a rectangular cross section, at each of the four corners of which a table leg 12 is fastened, only one of these table legs being shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- On these table legs 12 is in Distance from the frame 11, a table top 14 attached, so that a gap 15 is formed between this table top 14 and the frame 11.
- a vertical cable duct 20 is attached to the table leg 12, the structure of which is described in detail in the German utility model application G 89 06 372.4. To avoid lengths, reference is made to the content of this application.
- a horizontal cable duct 25 has approximately the cross-sectional shape of a round gutter and a circular cylindrical envelope surface, as can be clearly seen from FIG. 2. It is designed as an extrusion profile made of a suitable plastic and, as shown in FIG. 2, can be clad on the outside with a perforated plate 26 in order to prevent electromagnetic radiation, e.g. B. shield from computer cables. It has a longitudinal opening 28 for inserting cables (not shown) and is pulled somewhat inwards at this longitudinal opening, as shown in FIG. 2. Its cross section is preferably so large that it can accommodate a multiple socket 30, indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 2, and electrical plugs 31 arranged therein. For division into two separate cable chambers 35 and 36, a partition 37 made of an insulating plastic can be inserted into a longitudinal groove 38, which is provided on the inside of the cable duct 25, cf. Fig. 2.
- Fastening elements 42 are used to fasten the cable duct 25 according to the first exemplary embodiment to the table 10, the shape of which can be seen in FIG. 3 in the untensioned state. These consist of strips made of spring steel, which are bent into the desired shape and then hardened. For hooking onto the frame 11 they have a hook-shaped section 44 with two legs 45, 46 and a horizontal section 47 connecting the legs in the assembled state.
- the legs 45, 46 are, as shown in FIG. 3, somewhat in the untensioned state in the direction bent to each other, so that after they have been placed on the frame element 11, as shown in FIG. 2, they enclose it in a force-fitting manner.
- the leg 46 goes at an acute angle alpha of z. B.
- Section 50 is followed by section 51 wrapping around cable duct 25, which ends at the end in a substantially straight section 52 which, in the assembled state, bears with prestress against the inside of frame part 11, cf. Fig. 2.
- section 51 wrapping around cable duct 25, which ends at the end in a substantially straight section 52 which, in the assembled state, bears with prestress against the inside of frame part 11, cf. Fig. 2.
- Fig. 2 also shows, the sections 50 and 51 together in the assembled state form a circle, so that in them the cable duct 25 can be rotated as desired about its longitudinal axis designated in Fig. 1 with 59.
- suspension elements 42 is first pushed onto a cable duct 25 of the desired length.
- These suspension elements can be used here; if desired, be fixed to the cable duct 25 using rubber rings 60.
- Fig. 1 shows two such rubber rings 60, and in Fig. 2 one is indicated with dash-dotted lines. Usually one does without such rubber rings 60.
- the cable duct 25 with the hanging elements 42 arranged thereon is lifted under the table 10, and the hook-shaped sections 44 are pushed through the gap 15 between the table top 14 and frame 11 and pressed onto the frame part 11 from above, as shown in FIG. 2.
- the straight end 52 of the suspension element 42 is pressed against the inside of the frame 11 and in turn presses the upper section 50 of the suspension element 42 against the underside of the table top 14. In this way, the cable duct 25 is firmly anchored under the table 10, but can be at Requirement in the hanging elements 42 can be rotated at will.
- the cable duct 25 is open at its ends, and therefore cables can be passed from it directly into the vertical cable duct 20 shown in FIG. 1, which enables very simple assembly.
- FIGS. 4 and 5 show a second embodiment of a cable duct 65 according to the invention, which here has approximately the shape of a gutter with a rectangular cross section and is made of bent sheet metal. Alternatively, it can also be deep-drawn from a plastic.
- the cable duct 65 has on the left a hook-like section 66 which engages over the frame 11 in the suspended state and is attached to it.
- the hook-like section 65 is formed by the left side wall 67 of the cable duct 65, an adjoining horizontal section 68 and an adjoining vertical section 69, which is only long enough to pass through the gap 15 between the table top 14 and the frame 11 can be pushed through.
- the hook-like section 65 engages around the frame part 11 in a form-fitting and preferably also force-fitting manner, as described in FIGS. 1 to 3.
- the side wall 67 merges into a horizontal base section 71, in the middle of which an intermediate wall 72 is formed, as FIG. 4 clearly shows. If necessary, an extension can be plugged onto the intermediate wall 72.
- the bottom section 72 in turn merges to the right into a right side wall 73, which is approximately the width of the gap 15 higher than the left side wall 67.
- the right side wall 73 is provided with a plastic attachment 74 to prevent damage from there to avoid cables.
- the attachment 74 preferably consists of a soft plastic.
- FIG. 4 and 5 show the cable duct 65 according to the invention approximately on a scale of 1: 1. It is dimensioned such that it can accommodate a socket 75 (indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 4) and a plug 76 inserted into it.
- the hooking edge 66 can have interruptions 78, since even shorter sections of the hooking edge 66 are sufficient to hold the cable duct 65 securely on the frame 11.
- an insulated cable duct 65 if it is made of sheet metal and not plastic, is installed Plastic insert (not shown) used. Any sockets 75 are used before assembly.
- the cable duct 65 is lifted under the table top 14; the hooking edge 66 is passed through the gap 15 and hooked onto the frame part 11 in the manner shown.
- the side wall 67 is supported flatly on the frame part 11, as shown in FIG. 4, and the plastic part 74 is preferably pressed with prestress against the underside of the table top 14. This fixes the cable duct 65 firmly under the table.
- Cables can then be routed to the outside between the table top 14 and the plastic part 74, the cable duct 65 being flexibly deflected downward, or these cables are routed outwards through the gap 15.
- the ends of the cable duct 65 are preferably open, so that a direct transition to the vertical cable duct 20 is possible from there.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cable duct for preferably horizontal mounting on a piece of furniture, in particular on a table provided with a frame.
A table with a horizontal cable channel is known from DE-Gbm 75 13 456. The latter is in the form of an extruded aluminum tube which has a longitudinal slot on one side. This tube forms a footrest for a desk, and its left end and right end are each rotatably mounted on a side part of the desk. This makes it possible to turn this aluminum tube by 90 ° in order to insert or remove the cables more easily. The disadvantage here, however, is that the cable duct is clearly visible and is also located near the floor where it can be easily damaged. It is also difficult to retrofit it, and the cables must also be routed up through the side parts of the desk to the table top.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide an improvement here.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in a cable duct mentioned at the outset in that it is designed so that it can be hung on the frame of the piece of furniture.
It has proven to be extremely advantageous if the cable duct is formed from an elastic material and is dimensioned such that it rests in the suspended state with its non-suspended region with a prestress against an element of the piece of furniture. In this way, the cable duct is pressed under prestress into the corner between the frame and the table top and assumes a stable rest position there, even if it is heavily loaded by several cables.

Fig. 2.A
Fig. 2.
During assembly, the required number of
The
The
Parts which are the same or have the same effect as in FIGS. 1 to 3 are denoted by the same reference symbols in FIGS. 4 and 5 and are usually not described again.
In FIG. 4, which shows this cross section of the cable duct, the
If necessary, an
Then the
Cables can then be routed to the outside between the
It is also possible to provide recesses in the
Naturally, further modifications and modifications are possible within the scope of the present invention.
