Definitions

  • the present application relates to a device for fixing a container and its application in particular in the field of horticulture.
  • the plants during their growth, do not necessarily grow regularly and can cause a certain imbalance with respect to their supports such as the simple fact of watering the plant or another cause of imbalance is sufficient to cause the plant and its container to overturn, even when said plant is protected from the wind, as in a greenhouse.
  • Devices are already known for stabilizing pots: they are, for example, curved rods which are driven into the earth of the pot and which bear on the ground, thus increasing the support polygon. It is necessary to install three or four of these devices per pot.
  • DE-C-801796 discloses pots comprising vertical ribs on their side walls.
  • the present application relates to a device for fixing a light or relatively heavy container but having a strong wind resistance, provided with a substantially flat base, and allowing the stable and reversible fixing of said container to a support. , characterized in that it consists of projections arranged at the outer periphery of the container and allowing the stable and reversible fixing of said container to the support after partial rotation of said container.
  • light or relatively heavy container but having a strong wind resistance is meant a container intended to be placed outside and therefore capable of being exposed to the wind, and more particularly a container containing a plant, flower, etc., such as a wind for example of around 50 km / hour would be sufficient to overturn said container.
  • edge is also meant premises other than living accommodation such as greenhouses, winter gardens, etc.
  • stable and reversible fixing is meant that the latter can be fixed stably to a support, that is to say that its sensitivity to wind, thanks to its cooperation with the support, becomes such that it could for example tolerate a wind of around 120 km / h without overturning.
  • This fixing can be achieved for example by clipping vis-à-vis a support but preferably by partial rotation of the container. By partial rotation, reverse or not, the container can be detached from the support, that is to say that its attachment is reversible.
  • container having a substantially flat base means a container whose base can be flat and more generally a stable container when placed on a flat base, that is to say a container whose points bearing on said base pass substantially through the same plane, such as a tray or pot of flowers or plants.
  • the support consists of a set of rods.
  • rod is meant an elongated element preferably of substantially cylindrical section. These rods can have any relative positioning with respect to each other but preferably form a grid, in particular a standard grid with square meshes.
  • the width of a mesh can be from 5 to 50 cm for example; the section diameter of a rod can be for example from 1 to 8 mm, in particular from 2 to 5 mm and very particularly about 3 mm.
  • the container according to the present invention is a flower or plant container, that is to say for example a pot or a container.
  • the containers according to the present invention can be made of any material: terracotta, ceramic and preferably these are made of plastic. This characteristic is more particularly interesting with a view to industrial horticulture.
  • the support can take any form or consistency possible. However, its shape must be complementary to that of the container according to the present invention, so as to allow stable and reversible fixing.
  • the support is advantageously all of the rods described above, but the support is preferably a grid with square meshes.
  • This grid constitutes a particularly inexpensive support, offering by itself no wind resistance, even partially raised.
  • This grid itself can be easily fixed, in the ground or on pallets to allow their movement, for example with the help of jumpers, etc.
  • Grids suitable as supports according to the present invention are widely sold. One can quote for example the welded grids of standard square meshes.
  • Grids can also be used in which the rods forming the meshes of said grid are double or triple.
  • the support will usually be arranged substantially horizontally. It will advantageously be placed directly on the ground, or even without any particular attachment to the ground.
  • the present invention also relates to a device, characterized in that the projections are placed at the base of the container; thus, the major part of the container is therefore placed above the support.
  • These projections can be an integral part of the container and thus follow its shape.
  • the projections will be obtained directly by molding.
  • the projections are formed by rods. These rods will therefore be arranged at the base of the container and for example they will pass substantially horizontally through the side walls near the base of said container.
  • the stems will advantageously be separate from the pot itself.
  • the pot by molding and on the other hand, rods which can thus be made of the same material as that of the pot or in a different material.
  • the pot itself can be made of plastic while the stems are made of the same plastic or in reed or bamboo for example.
  • rods will advantageously have a certain flexibility.
  • one of them can cross horizontally the side walls near the base of the container while a second rod perpendicular to the first will pass through the side walls at the same height as the other rod thanks to the flexibility of said rod.
  • the rod (s) constituting the projections are separate parts of the pot, removable.
  • Such a device could moreover be added to existing pots comprising for example drainage orifices placed laterally at the base of the container.
  • the projections thus constituted by rods are of remarkable interest, namely that they keep the pot received above the bottom of the container, thus facilitating drainage.
  • the present application also relates to devices in which the projections, on the contrary, are placed near the top of the container.
  • the support is raised above the ground.
  • the projections are surmounted by an overhang from which the container is too wide to pass through the support, said overhang being spaced from the top of the projections by at least the support thickness.
  • Such a device ensures perfect cooperation between the container and its support. If desired, even the smallest swirl of the container vis-à-vis the support can thus be eliminated.
  • the overhang could for example be oblique, corresponding for example to a progressive widening of the container. It will advantageously be parallel to the horizontal base of the container and will therefore correspond to a rim if this overhang is located at the top of said container.
  • the container according to the present invention comprising a fixing device is advantageously a pot intended for example to receive itself a pot containing for example a seedling.
  • the above containers include ribs, preferably vertical, on the side walls inside the container.
  • These ribs can take any form, for example the form of festoons. They will preferably be vertical but may also be inclined. Indeed, the important thing is that these ribs constitute a ventilation preferably going from the base to the top of the container.
  • the present application also relates to the application of a device described above to containers intended for industrial culture, in particular horticulture.
  • the invention finally relates to the application of rods forming projections to the stable and reversible attachment of a container to a support after partial rotation of said container.
  • FIG. 1 a flowerpot fixed on its support, in which 1 represents the container having projections 2, at its outer periphery, cooperating with the support here constituted by a grid of square meshes which one can observe a rod 3 and two rods 3a and 3b perpendicular to this rod 3 and here seen in section.
  • the container was introduced into a mesh of the grid until it was blocked by the overhang 4 then, after partial rotation, was fixed stably to the grid.
  • the overhang 4 allows firm attachment to the support by limiting the clearance between the projections 2 and the support grid 3a-3b. As seen above, it also facilitates the positioning of the container in the support.
  • the container has another overhang 4a at the top of the container.
  • the projections 2 could occupy vis-à-vis this overhang 4a the same relative position as vis-à-vis the overhang 4.
  • the shape of the pot there ready conical for example
  • the container shown also comprises drainage holes 5, several, in general 4, for example.
  • the projections shown here rise gently down to their summit but could very well consist of lugs, for example cubic or of cylindrical section.
  • FIG. 3 a container, here a pot, is shown.
  • the section was made horizontally just above the bottom.
  • the length of each of these rods is less than the diagonal of a square whose side has a length equal to the diameter of the base of the container.
  • the container provided with its projections can be introduced into a square orifice, the rods forming projections 2, 2 ′ being oriented along the diagonals and, by rotation, allow the stable fixing of the container on a support constituted for example by a grid with square meshes (not shown).
  • the protruding rod 2 is horizontal and therefore follows the bottom of the pot while the other protruding 2 ′ is slightly curved, since it is in slight tension due to the thickness of the other rod.
  • the protruding rods here are of cylindrical section but they may as well have another section, in particular square or rectangular.
  • rods can be presented directly in the form of a cross, for example obtained by molding, it is advantageous, however, to have separate rods in order to facilitate their positioning.
  • FIG. 4 shows a container 1 whose internal wall is scalloped, said container itself containing a concentric pot 6 also sectioned at the same level.
  • the container 6 is raised relative to the bottom of the container 1 by means of the rods projecting 2-2 ′.
  • FIG. 5 represents, seen from below, a container according to the present invention provided with projections 2, with drainage orifices 5 of which one of the two is provided with a strip forming projection 2 ′, here of rectangular section, the different elements being shown substantially to scale.
  • the container 1 has an upwardly flared cone shape with a diameter at the top of about 200 mm, at the base of about 160 mm, the projections 2 having a length of about 40 mm for a approximate thickness of 5 mm.
  • This container also includes an overhang 4 leaving a space of approximately 4 mm relative to the top of a projection 2.
  • the total height of such a container is approximately 170 mm.
  • FIG. 6 the container 1 containing a pot 6 containing seedlings.
  • the container 1 containing a pot 6 containing seedlings.
  • the rod 2 At the base of the container 1 are placed two square section rods projecting 2-2 ′, the rod 2 being horizontal and along the bottom of the pot and the rod 2 ′ being arched due to its flexibility.
  • the ends of the rods protruding 2-2 ′ exit from the container 1 through the drainage holes 5 provided from the outset. It can be seen that the pot 6 is held above the bottom of the container 1 by means of the rods projecting 2-2 ′, thus facilitating the drainage and aeration of the base of the pot 6.
  • the container 1 Since the container 1 has its scalloped interior and the cut is made at the places where the container 1 is thinner due to the scalloping, there is also a space 7 made between the container 1 and the pot 6, allowing a good ventilation.
