- a fan roof panel of the generic type is known. Above an opening in the roof plate level there is a dome-like upstanding cover, which forms an open step in the eaves direction with the roof plate level as an air outlet / inlet. Below this arrangement there is an insert with a collecting area and with a passage opening which is offset upwards relative to the opening. Due to the structural design, the air flow is deflected several times, essentially pointing downwards.
- a roof vent block which is provided in a dormer-like design with an approximately semicircular profile, on the eaves-side, open end a plastic part is attached, which is an extension of the dormer jacket a ventilation grille with vertical webs and a closed , convex and has a tear-off spoiler front surface.
- the invention has for its object to provide an arrangement for roofing of the generic type, which is easy to install and still ensures a reliable seal and which also fits harmoniously into a roof landscape.
- a transverse rib is arranged on the insert according to the invention, which is led to the eaves-side edge of the opening in the outer roof element beyond the opening, and the free end of which is designed as a tear-off edge. This edge causes an air flow passing over the roof surface to be torn off. The resulting negative pressure causes air to be sucked out of the lower roof.
- this transverse rib with the aid of support ribs oriented in the outflow direction at a predetermined distance from the collecting area of the insert, so that there is a passage opening in the direction of the eaves for the collected precipitation between this rib and the collecting area. If the supporting ribs are arranged on the sides of the opening, they, like the transverse rib with the tear-off edge, prevent inclined precipitation in the catchment area, as it could occur especially in strong winds. Precipitation is thus directed to the collecting area and an uncontrolled penetration into the roof space is prevented.
- support ribs are arranged in a grid-like manner at predetermined intervals over the entire opening of the outer roof element and are guided into the area of the opening. In this way, a protective grid against the penetration of foliage, small animals or the like is formed.
- the engagement of the support ribs in the opening in the outer roof element also fixes the insert in its position relative to the roof element. This has the advantage that the insert does not have to be fastened separately on the roof battens or the like, so that the arrangement can be placed on the roofing unproblematically and as quickly as a normal roof tile.
- a particularly advantageous development of the invention in connection with an under-roof ventilation is that the opening is arranged in the flow direction on the lower side and essentially over the entire width of the outer roof element, that the passage opening of the insert is arranged offset upwards with respect to the opening and that the cross section of the passage opening, the opening and the space between the roof element and the insert is substantially the same.
- This measure allows maximum air passage with the least possible disturbance of the air flow.
- the insert is provided with a transverse offset above the passage opening. This has the advantage that the distance and thus the passage cross section between the insert and the outer roof element is increased.
- the collecting area can be shaped and braced in the manner of a trough.
- the insert is preferably made of plastic or metal.
- the insert can have a profiled cross section to improve its stability. Above all, this helps to improve the rigidity. A higher rigidity can also be achieved by providing reinforcing ribs on the insert. The reinforcing ribs can run parallel to the flow direction and at the same time serve to guide runoff precipitation.
- the arrangement illustrated in FIG. 1, which can also be referred to as a surface fan 9, comprises an outer roof element designed as a fan tile 10 for mounting on an inclined roof.
- the fan brick 10 has at its lower, eaves-side end within the brick surface an opening 12 which extends as far as possible over the entire width of the fan brick 10 perpendicular to the plane of the drawing.
- the opening 12 has a rectangular cross section.
- the fan tile 10 is suspended with a nose 14 on a roof batten 16 in the roof structure, while the eaves-side end 18 rests on the ridge-side end of the next roof tile 20.
- a plastic insert 8 is arranged under the fan tile 10, which forms a chicane, on the one hand to collect and discharge precipitation penetrating through the opening 12, and on the other hand to ensure an air flow from the inside to the outside for venting the lower roof 7.
- the insert 8 rests on the ridge side on the roof batten 16, being pressed from above by the weight of the fan tile 10. Its eaves-side end 25 lies on the roof tile 20 adjacent below, and it engages with a web-shaped, downwardly shaped drip edge 6 in a groove on the roof tile 20.
- the insert 8 has a closed collecting area 22 below the opening 12 of the fan tile 10, which collects penetrating precipitation and leads it down onto the roof tile 20.
- the catchment area 22 there are support ribs 27 which are oriented in the direction of flow and project vertically and extend into the opening 12.
- the support ribs 27 have a transverse rib on their eaves-side end faces 26, which extends beyond the edge of the opening 12.
- the edge projecting over the surface of the fan brick 10 forms a sharp tear-off edge 28.
- An air flow passing over the fan brick 10 breaks off at the edge 28 and thereby creates a negative pressure in the opening 12.
- the transverse rib 26 ends at a predetermined distance above the collecting area 22 , so that there is a sufficient outlet 29 in the drain direction.
- the transverse rib 26 is provided with a rounded cross section for aerodynamic reasons.
- the insert 8 is provided with a passage opening 30, which creates a connection to the lower roof 7.
- a collar 31 running around the edge of the passage opening 30 prevents precipitation entering through the opening 12 from reaching the sub-roof 7 through the passage opening 30, particularly in the case of a low roof pitch.
- 5 denotes an aerodynamic rounding at the edge of the passage opening 30.
- the insert 8 extends essentially in one plane and parallel to the top surface of the fan brick 10 at a predetermined distance from its underside.
- An air passage cross-section 32 is determined via the distance, which corresponds to the cross-sectional area of both the passage opening 30 and the opening 12.
- the insert 8 is provided with upstands 33 along its two long sides, which prevent penetrating precipitation from reaching the lower roof beyond the long sides in the joint area of the tiles in question.
- the perspective view further clarifies that the support ribs 27 form a protective grid which prevents the penetration of leaves or the like into the opening 22.
- it fixes the insert 8 in the correct position below the fan brick 10 by means of a positive fit in the opening 12.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an arrangement for roofing with a flat roof element having at least one opening for roof ventilation according to the preamble of independent claim 1.
From GB-A-2 199 860 and WO 85/01539 a fan roof panel of the generic type is known.
Furthermore, from DE-GM 87 09 514 a roof vent block is known, which is provided in a dormer-like design with an approximately semicircular profile, on the eaves-side, open end a plastic part is attached, which is an extension of the dormer jacket a ventilation grille with vertical webs and a closed , convex and has a tear-off spoiler front surface.
During production, it is therefore necessary to connect two different materials, namely concrete and plastic, flush, watertight and permanently to one another, which makes production relatively complex. In addition, a combination of different materials visible in the roof surface is often undesirable. Furthermore, dormer-like shapes in the roof surface create optical interruptions that are sometimes perceived as disruptive with regard to the overall impression of a roof.
The invention has for its object to provide an arrangement for roofing of the generic type, which is easy to install and still ensures a reliable seal and which also fits harmoniously into a roof landscape.
This object is achieved in accordance with the characterizing parts of claim 1. With such a design, roof elements, in particular ventilation tiles, with a larger opening can be used, since they no longer have to be covered at the top against the ingress of precipitation and contaminants. To a volume or To ventilate the sub-roof specified in terms of area, fewer ventilation tiles are required than previously. In addition, ventilation tiles within the umbrella organization can hardly be distinguished from the other goats, since they essentially have no externally recognizable shapes. In particular, an externally visible variety of materials is avoided because only the outer roof element is visible and the use does not appear to the outside.
In an arrangement designed for under-roof or roof space ventilation, a transverse rib is arranged on the insert according to the invention, which is led to the eaves-side edge of the opening in the outer roof element beyond the opening, and the free end of which is designed as a tear-off edge. This edge causes an air flow passing over the roof surface to be torn off. The resulting negative pressure causes air to be sucked out of the lower roof.
It is expedient to arrange this transverse rib with the aid of support ribs oriented in the outflow direction at a predetermined distance from the collecting area of the insert, so that there is a passage opening in the direction of the eaves for the collected precipitation between this rib and the collecting area.
In order to further improve the stability and bending stiffness of the insert, support ribs are arranged in a grid-like manner at predetermined intervals over the entire opening of the outer roof element and are guided into the area of the opening. In this way, a protective grid against the penetration of foliage, small animals or the like is formed. The engagement of the support ribs in the opening in the outer roof element also fixes the insert in its position relative to the roof element. This has the advantage that the insert does not have to be fastened separately on the roof battens or the like, so that the arrangement can be placed on the roofing unproblematically and as quickly as a normal roof tile.
A particularly advantageous development of the invention in connection with an under-roof ventilation is that the opening is arranged in the flow direction on the lower side and essentially over the entire width of the outer roof element, that the passage opening of the insert is arranged offset upwards with respect to the opening and that the cross section of the passage opening, the opening and the space between the roof element and the insert is substantially the same. This measure allows maximum air passage with the least possible disturbance of the air flow. To ensure reliable drainage of water, it is advisable to provide the insert along its two side edges with an upward-facing collar. The collar serves equally for stiffening the insert.
It may also be appropriate that the insert is provided with a transverse offset above the passage opening. This has the advantage that the distance and thus the passage cross section between the insert and the outer roof element is increased. In addition, the collecting area can be shaped and braced in the manner of a trough.
It is also advantageous to provide the end of the attachment on the eaves side, which rests on the next roof element within a roof structure, with a drip edge. In addition, it can be expedient to provide at least the lower edge, but preferably also the two adjoining side edges of the insert passage opening, with an upwardly facing collar. In this way it is ensured that, for example in the case of a low roof pitch, precipitation that may back up can penetrate into the roof space through the passage opening.
To fix the position of the roof element, it may also be advantageous for it to be provided on the underside at its ridge-side end with a web for hanging in a roof batten.
The insert is preferably made of plastic or metal.
The insert can have a profiled cross section to improve its stability. Above all, this helps to improve the rigidity. A higher rigidity can also be achieved by providing reinforcing ribs on the insert. The reinforcing ribs can run parallel to the flow direction and at the same time serve to guide runoff precipitation.

The arrangement illustrated in FIG. 1, which can also be referred to as a
The
The

The
As FIG. 2 further illustrates, the
