Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen verdrillbaren Drahtbügel zum Verbinden oder Verschliessen von Gegenständen gemäss dem Oberbegriff von Patentanspruch 1. Eingehende Versuche haben nun gezeigt, dass von den verschiedenen, in dieser Veröffentlichung offenbarten Drahtbügeln der eingangs erwähnte Drahtbügel für das ins Auge gefasste Verfahren gut geeignet ist. In vorliegendem Ausführungsbeispiel sind die beiden Drahtteile an vier Punkten geschweisst, nämlich bei Punkt 11 beim Verschlussstück 7, bei Punkt 12 an der Uebergangsstelle 9 sowie an den Punkten 13, wo sich die beiden Drahtteile zu den Schlaufen 4 und 5 erweitern. Die Vorrichtung, für die die Drahtbügel gedacht sind, erfasst den Drahtbügel bei den Absätzen 10 und schiebt diesen durch zwei Backen der Vorrichtung, durch welche die Drahtbügel um die zu verbindenden Gegenstände oder um die Oeffnung eines zu verschliessenden Gegenstandes gelegt werden, wobei die schmälere Schlaufe 4 in die breitere Schlaufe 5 greift und das geschlossene Ende 6 das Verschlussstück 7 an der anderen Schlaufe hinterfasst.
