Abstract

Verfahren und Vorrichtung zur umweltfreundlichen Massenent­ säuerung von Büchern und anderen Druck- und Papiererzeug­ nissen unter Vortrocknung dieser Erzeugnisse durch Hochfre­ quenzstrahlung im Vakuum, anschließende Anwendung einer Neutralisationsbehandlung mit Lösungen zur Entsäuerung und einer hierauf folgenden Abtrocknung der verwendeten Löse­ mittel ebenfalls durch Hochfrequenzstrahlung im Vakuum, wobei vorzugsweise eine einzige Behandlungskammer (1) zur Vortrocknung, Neutralisierung und Abtrocknung verwendet wird, deren Innenraum der HF/Mikrowellen-strahlung eines Generators (2) aussetzbar ist und an die mit der Kammer (1) in einer geschlossenen beweglichen Anlage zusammengefaßte Einrichtungen (4, 8, 9; 10 bis 19 und 5) zum Zu- und Abführen der Lösungen, zum Evakuieren und zum umweltent­ lastenden Abscheiden der Dämpfe der bei der Abtrocknung anfallenden Abluft angeschlossen sind. Das Verfahren und die Vorrichtung ermöglichen eine schnelle und rationelle, dabei umweltfreundliche Massenentsäuerung mit Rückgewinnung der Lösemittel.
