Abstract

The laundry hanger made from a synthetic material, in particular polystyrene, has a double T-shaped cross-section and a vertical web wall (3), an upper bar (4) and a lower bar (5) and clips are arranged on its hanger ends (6, 7), which clips are composed in each case of an essentially rigid abutment part (8) and a resilient tongue (9), integrally connected thereto, the gap (11) between the abutment part (8) and the tongue (9) being widened in the manner of a funnel for easy insertion of an item of laundry to be clipped in. In order that even very thin items of laundry are held adequately firmly by the clip, the resilient tongue (9) is connected to the abutment part (8) via a plastic ring (10) which is moulded on, is essentially exposed, is interrupted at the gap (11) and whose cross-section is at least 100%, preferably 200% greater than the cross-section of the upper or lower bar (4, 5) of the laundry hanger, and which presses the tongue (9) with prestress against the abutment part (8). The external diameter of the plastic ring is about twice as large as its internal diameter. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a laundry hanger, made by injection molding from plastic, the cross section of which has a vertical wall, a horizontal upper wall part and a horizontal lower wall part and at the temple ends of which are arranged in the plane of the laundry hanger clamps, each consisting of an essentially rigid abutment part and one Assemble the resilient tongue connected to it in one piece, the gap between the abutment part and tongue being funnel-shaped for easy insertion of a laundry part to be clamped in towards the ends of the tongue and the abutment part, and the tongue with a pretension that occurs when a material accumulation between the tongue and the abutment part cools down arises, is pressed against the abutment part.

Laundry hangers of this type are known from GB-A-2 200 278. In these known laundry hangers, the cross section is U-shaped and is composed of a vertical wall, from which a horizontal wall part extends from the top and bottom to the same side. Clamps are arranged on the temple ends, which are formed by resilient tongues which bear against the abutment part with pretension. The resilient tongues are essentially formed by a U-shaped deflection of a horizontal wall part. The area of the deflection is largely connected to the vertical wall. In the area of the deflection, a material accumulation called "hot spots" is provided to achieve a pretensioning force. The clamps are opened by elastic bending of the resilient tongues.

The invention has for its object to provide a laundry hanger, in which the clamps have pre-tensioned tongues that can be opened relatively wide, so that extremely thin laundry items can be reliably held in the clips and thick laundry items can be inserted.

This object is achieved in that its cross section is double-T-shaped and has a central vertical wall, and the resilient tongue is stiffened by a web wall and with the abutment part via a material accumulation, partially exposed, interrupted at the gap and is connected by the vertical wall held plastic ring, the cross section of which is at least 100%, preferably 200% larger than the cross section of the upper or lower wall part of the clothes hanger, the thickness of the vertical wall arranged in the central plane of this ring being less than 1/5 the thickness of the ring and wherein the vertical wall and the web wall comprise only 2/3 to 3/4 of the ring.

Further features of the invention emerge from the subclaims.

  • Fig. 2 eine Ansicht nach der Schnittlinie II-II in Figur 1.
The invention is explained in the following description with reference to the drawings of an exemplary embodiment. The drawing shows in
  • Fig. 1 is a view of the clothes hanger according to the invention and
  • 2 shows a view along the section line II-II in FIG. 1.

The laundry hanger shown has a double-T-shaped cross section and has a vertical web wall 3, a horizontal upper wall part 4 and a horizontal lower wall part 5. At the temple ends 6 and 7, clamps are arranged, each consisting of an essentially rigid abutment part 8 and a resilient tongue 9 connected to it in one piece put together. The tongue 9 touches the abutment part 8 in the area of a hump 12. The gap 11 is widened like a funnel for easy insertion of a laundry part to be clamped.

The tongue 9 is connected to the abutment part 8 via an essentially exposed plastic ring 10 interrupted at the gap 11, the cross section of which is at least 100%, preferably 200% larger than the cross section of the upper wall part 4 or the lower wall part 5.

The accumulation of material in the plastic ring 10 ensures that when the laundry hanger is removed from the injection mold while it is still hot, the plastic ring 10 on the outer jacket cools down faster than in the inner region and the shrinking process that occurs when it cools down causes the tongue 9 to be biased against the hump 12 of the Abutment part 8 is pressed.

The column 11 of the clamps located on the temple ends are directed downwards and outwards, so that, for example, a bundle of underpants can easily be inserted into the column 11.

In a known manner, the laundry hanger can also be provided with additional clamps, for example with the clamping tongues 15 on the underside of the laundry hanger and with resilient tongues 16 on the top of the laundry hanger. In contrast to the tongue 9, the tongues 15 and 16 are not prestressed on the respective abutment.

So that the new clothes hanger is also suitable for hanging up shirts and the like, 10 shoulder projections 17 can be injection molded over the exposed plastic ring, as the left half of FIG. 1 shows. This shoulder lugs 17 cause a shirt can be placed more pleasantly on the clothes hanger. This shoulder shoulder 17 also has as the resilient tongue 16 has a cross section which corresponds approximately to that of the upper wall part 4.

The tongue 9, which rests with pretension, is stiffened by a web wall 18, so that the spring action comes solely from the plastic ring 10.

The preload with which the tongue 9 rests on the abutment part 8 is greater, the thicker the plastic ring 10 is formed or the greater the difference between the inside diameter and the outside diameter of the plastic ring 10 and the faster the outer jacket of the plastic ring 10 can cool down. This rapid cooling is ensured in that the ring 10 is largely exposed and is only connected to the item of laundry 1 by the relatively thin web wall 3. A part, in particular 1/3 to 1/4, of the plastic ring 10 is completely free, so that the ring can be bent against the bias in this area, so that not only very thin but also relatively thick items of laundry are placed in the gap 11, such as the waistband of underpants or the like, can be introduced. The tongue 9 is stiffened by a stiffening wall 18, which corresponds to the web wall 3. The abutment part 8 is surrounded by the lower wall part 5 and opens into the plastic ring 10.
