Description

L'invention est relative à un dispositif d'interverrouillage de deux appareils électriques à boîtier moulé miniature selon le préambule de la revendication 1.The invention relates to a device for interlocking two electrical devices with a miniature molded case according to the preamble of claim 1.

Modular devices, in particular miniature switches or circuit breakers installed in low-voltage power supply boxes, are frequently used for normal emergency power supply, or for supplying two loads, the simultaneous operation of which must be avoided. In the case of a normal emergency power supply, it has already been proposed to couple the control handles of the two devices so as to move these handles in opposite directions, the opening of one of the devices automatically causing the closure of the other and vice versa. Manufacturing tolerances prevent the obtaining of a precise point of opening or closing of the device and overlaps, for example causing the simultaneous closing of the two devices for a short time are inevitable. Known locks and padlocking systems are also known, preventing the operation of one of the handles when the other handle is not in the closed position, but these devices are unattractive and complicated to handle.

According to document DE-U-8714499 which describes a device according to the preamble of claim 1, it is also known to interpose, between two electrical devices, an interlocking device comprising two mechanical connections which extend transversely and connect the two mechanisms respectively associated with the two electrical devices. These mechanical connections operate in a translational movement and therefore require adjustment by screw for each of them; in addition they include a large number of moving parts.

The present invention aims to allow a simple embodiment of an interlocking module of two electrical devices preventing any simultaneous closing of these two devices or in general the coming of one of the devices in a predetermined position when the other is in a given position.

Le dispositif d'interverrouillage selon l'invention est décrit dans la revendication 1.The interlocking device according to the invention is described in claim 1.

The module with a standard profile, for example with a width of 18mm, is interposed between the two devices to be interlocked, by being snapped onto the support rail. The general appearance of the switchboard is not modified by the presence of this interlocking system, only the overall width increases slightly. The interlocking module has two coaxial connecting shafts projecting laterally from the module, and the ends of which are arranged to fit into a conjugate housing, formed in the pivot axis of the handles of the devices attached to the interlocking module. These ends of polygonal shafts, in particular rectangular ones, can of course cooperate with another part of the mechanism of the apparatus, the position of which is representative of that of the contacts. The devices, in particular the switches are of a standard type having the aforementioned housing in the control handle, or any other system for coupling to the interlocking module.

The module can interlock devices of different ratings and / or with a different number of poles, for example a 10-pole single-pole switch coupled to a 63-amp four-pole switch. The functions fulfilled by the coupled devices can also be different, a circuit breaker being for example coupled to a switch or to a switch.

The interlocking mechanism housed in the module advantageously comprises a slide cooperating with the two connecting shafts, in such a way that the rotation of one of the shafts in the closed position of the associated switch causes the slide to move in a locking position of the other shaft in the opening position of the associated switch and vice versa. Thereafter, only the simultaneous closure of the two devices will be mentioned, the other interlocks deducing from this description.
To this end, each end of the connecting shafts carries a cam or half-moon lock housed face to face inside the interlocking module and cooperating with a stop of the slide. In the open position of the two switches, the flat faces of the half-moon locks are parallel and oriented in opposite directions, being framed with play by the two stops carried by the slide. The clearance between the half-moons and the stops is sufficient to allow the rotation of one of the half-moons corresponding to a closing of the associated switch. This rotation brings the slide into the locking position of the other switch, the stop of the slide coming to bear on the flat face of the half-moon to prevent any rotation of the latter.

To assemble the locking module to the switches, it suffices to place the handles in the appropriate position, for example in the open position, and to bring the connecting shafts into the corresponding position, to allow these shafts to be fitted into corresponding housings. joysticks. After joining the molded boxes of the switches to the interlocking module, the assembly is advantageously secured, for example by clipping systems or any other fixing system.

Other advantages and characteristics will emerge more clearly from the description which follows of a mode of implementation. work of the invention given by way of nonlimiting example and shown in the accompanying drawings in which:
  • Figure 1 is an exploded perspective view of an interlocking module according to the invention, interposed between two electrical switches with molded housing;

  • Figure 8 is a view similar to that of Figure 1, illustrating the interlocking module associated with multi-pole switches.

In the figures, two miniature devices with molded housing 10,12, for example two switches of the range commercially known as multi 9, are fixed and aligned on a support rail (not shown) with symmetrical profile. Between the switches 10,12 is interposed an interlocking module 14 with molded housing of the same profile as those of the switches 10,12, this housing being snapped in the same way on the support rail. The switches 10, 12 are of a standard type having a control lever 16 whose pivoting causes the opening and closing of the contacts of the switch. The hub 18 of the lever 16 has an axial recess 20 of rectangular, polygonal or any other suitable section, arranged opposite an orifice 22 formed in the lateral face of the molded housing of the switch.

The interlocking module 14 comprises two connecting shafts 24, 26 projecting laterally on either side of the molded housing, and mounted for rotation on an axis coinciding with the pivot axis of the levers 16. The section of the shafts 24 , 26, in particular the rectangular section is adapted to fit into the recess 20 of the lever 16 of the switch attached to the interlocking module 14. Each shaft 24, 26 is mounted for rotation on a flange 28 of the housing, and the end of the shaft, internal to the housing, carries a cam or half-moon lock 30,32. The two latches 30, 32 are arranged face to face by framing a slide 34 guided by pins 36, and elongated slots 38 allowing sliding perpendicular to the trees 24, 26. Each half-moon lock 30,32 has a cut face 40,42, oriented in the opposite direction, and arranged opposite the stops 44,46 integral with the slide 34. In the open position of the switches 10,12, the levers 16 and the shafts 24, 26 coupled to these levers, are in the position shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, in which the cut faces 40, 42 are parallel and framed with play by the stops 44, 46. This clearance is sufficient to authorize the closing of one of the switches 10,12, but it prevents the simultaneous closing of the two switches 10,12 in the manner described below.

The interlocking device operates as follows:
- When the two switches 10,12 are in the open position, the latches 30,32 are in the position shown in Figures 2 and 3 in which the cut faces 40,42 are parallel. The slide 34 is either in the middle position shown in the figures, or in abutment with one or the other of the cut faces 40,42. Actuation of the joystick 16 of one of the switches, for example of the switch 12, causes the rotation of the connecting shaft 26 in the clockwise direction, which brings the cut face 42 of the latch 32 to the inclined position, shown on Figure 4. The rotation of the lock 32 moves or maintains the slide 34 towards the extreme left position, bringing the stop 44 to bear on the cut face 40 of the lock 30. The slide 34 is immobilized in this position without play by the stops 44,46, and it is easy to see that the stop 44 prevents any rotation of the latch 30 and therefore of the connecting shaft 24 and the handle 16 of the switch 10. In the closed position of the switch 12, it is therefore impossible to rotate the lever 16 of the switch 10 to bring the latter into the closed position. An opening of the device 12 brings the latches 30, 32 back to the initial position shown in FIG. 2, again enabling a command to close any of the switches 10, 12. Figures 6 and 7 illustrate the closure of the device 10 which causes a rotation of the latch 30, bringing the corresponding cut face 40 in the inclined position. This pivoting causes the slide 34 to slide to the right, and the application of the stop 46 against the cut face 42 of the lock 32. This position, symmetrical to that shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, corresponds to a locking in the open position of the switch 12. A simultaneous command to close the two switches 10, 12 is prevented by the slide 34.

The stops 44,46 consist of tabs folded at right angles to the slide 34, but it is clear that the interlocking between the two connecting shafts 24,26 can be achieved in a different way. The interlocking module 14 is interposed and attached to the switches 10, 12, and the three modules are secured by any suitable means, in particular by stirrups 50 which snap into recesses of the assembled molded housings. The three modules 10,12,14 thus constitute a block snapped onto the support rail, the switches 10,12 being interlocked. It is clear that the same module interlocking device 14 can be coupled to any miniature device of the same profile, in particular to multipole switches 52, 54 as shown in FIG. 8. The interlocking device can be associated with standard devices and can if necessary be subsequently installed to ensure interlocking.

The invention is of course in no way limited to the mode of implementation more particularly described, but it of course extends to any variant, in particular to that in which the connecting shafts 24, 26 would cooperate with another part of the mechanism of the switch, whose position is representative of that of the contacts, or that in which the closing of one of the devices must be prevented when the other device is open.

Claims (6)

  1. A device for interlocking two miniature moulded case electrical switchgear units (10, 12), notably with fixing onto a symmetrical profile support rail, each switchgear unit having a mechanism for opening and closing electrical contacts and said interlocking device in the form of a module (14) fitted between the two switchgear units (10, 12) cooperating with each of said mechanisms to prevent one of the switchgear units from switching to a predetermined position when the other one is in a given position notably to prevent simultaneous closing of the two switchgear units, said device comprising two mechanical links (24, 26) extending transversely between said module (14) and the moulded cases of the switchgear units (10, 12) to link the mechanism of each of said two switchgear units (10, 12) located on each side of the module (14) to an interlocking mechanism (30, 32, 34) housed in said module in order to move a part of the interlocking mechanism to a position representative of the position of the contacts of the associated switchgear unit, and inversely to transmit a locking force to one of the mechanisms notably in the open position when the other mechanism is in the closed position, characterized in that both of the mechanical links comprise a rotating shaft (24, 26) rigidly coupled in rotation to the pivoting spindle of the pivoting handle (16) associated with the corresponding electrical switchgear unit, each shaft (24, 26) being coupled to the corresponding handle (16) by slotting when the interlocking module (14) is adjoined to said corresponding miniature case.
  2. The interlocking device according to claim 1, characterized in that the handle (16) has a polygonal axial recess (20) into which the end of said shaft (24, 26) of conjugate shape slots when said module (14) and said miniature case are adjoined.
  3. The interlocking device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said interlocking mechanism comprises a slide (34) cooperating unidirectionally in one direction with one of said mechanical linking shafts (24, 26) and in the opposite direction with the other of said linking shafts.
  4. The interlocking device according to claim 3, characterized in that the two rotating linking shafts (24, 26) extend coaxially and both bear at their end internal to said module a lock in the shape of a half-moon (30, 32), cooperating with a stop (44, 46) securedly united to said slide (34), in such a way that rotation of one of said shafts (24, 26), when closing of the associated switchgear unit (10, 12) takes place, brings about movement of the slide (34) in one direction, whereas rotation of the other of said shafts, when closing of the associated switchgear unit takes place, brings about movement of the slide (34) in the opposite direction and the distance between the stops (44, 46) of the slide (34) prevents any simultaneous rotation of the two shafts (24, 26) in the closed position.
  5. The interlocking device according to claim 3, characterized in that the flat cut faces (40, 42) of said half-moons (30, 32) are parallel and oriented in the opposite direction when said rotating shafts (24, 26) are both in the open position of the two switchgear units (10, 12), that said stops (44, 46) are located with clearance on each side of said half-moons, in the open position of the two switchgear units, to enable rotation of one of the half-moons and that rotation of one of the half-moons to the closed position of the associated switchgear unit moves the stop of the slide (34) up against the cut face of the other half-moon preventing any rotation of the latter.
  6. The interlocking device according to any one of the above claims, characterized in that the interlocking module (14) comprises a case of the same profile as that of the cases of the switchgear units (10, 12) and that the mechanical linking shafts (24, 26) protrude out laterally on each side of said case equipped with means (50) for coupling to the cases of the switchgear units.
