Definitions

  • the invention relates to an emptying device in manual or compressed air design for emptying tubular bag packs with pasty contents such as sealants or the like according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • An emptying device is known from document EP-A-0 254 969.
  • the two-part emptying member disclosed there is expensive and therefore too expensive for mass production.
  • the wall thickness of the Emptying member in the area of the holding element provided for the operative connection with the closure cap is large, the wall is therefore inelastic, which makes it difficult to insert into and lock into place with the closure cap.
  • the piston used there is intended to compensate for cylinder tolerances and to prevent the jacket film of the tubular bag pack from jamming between the piston and cylinder.
  • the spring has fins that can break out easily and injure the hose jacket.
  • the lamellas press in the jacket and make the advantageous rotation of the emptying member difficult during processing.
  • the discharge elements which can be rotated in the head of the gun, offer the possibility of rotating the tapered nozzles in any desired direction, but the working pressure blocks the discharge element. Another advantage would be to turn the nozzle under working pressure. Then the nozzle could rotate during processing.
  • one-piece emptying members offer handling and cost advantages in these areas of application.
  • Such a piston for an emptying device is known per se from document EP-A-0 152 373, but this emptying device is intended and designed for processing plastic masses in cartridges.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a manual or compressed air operated emptying device for tubular bag packs which avoids the disadvantages of the known prior art and which ensures simple clean processing of tubular bag packs.
  • An insertion cone can be attached to the base in front of the holding elements. This facilitates the insertion of the emptying member and the connecting elements into the opening of the closure cap and ensures a quick connection between the parts.
  • emptying elements with an extended nozzle shaft are required for emptying multi-component tubular bag packs.
  • the individual components are mixed together in the shaft of the discharge nozzle using a static mixer. Depending on the degree of mixing, this requires a certain length of the nozzle shaft.
  • Mixing nozzles with a length of over 250 mm are included No rarity.
  • the use of these nozzles requires a secure connection between the emptying member and the gun. In the case of simple connections, there is a risk that the holder of the emptying member will slide out of the cap opening due to lateral loading of the nozzle, which leads to disabilities. This is avoided by additional stabilization of the nozzle.
  • In the upper part of the base there is a quick connector, z. B.
  • a multi-start thread or the like provided for receiving a union nut.
  • this union nut After connecting the emptying member to the cap, this union nut can be attached if necessary.
  • the nozzle receives the desired additional stabilization.
  • the axial adjustment is only slightly affected.
  • this is equipped with an additional support for these nozzles. This means that even long, unstable nozzles can be used without the risk of sideways deflection.
  • filling material stowage elements are provided on the inside of the shoulder.
  • the inside of the base of the emptying member is provided with hose jacket retaining elements, which here have the shape of concentric rings.
  • the outer collar of the rigid collar of the emptying member is slightly larger than the inner diameter of the cylinder. This prevents the jacket from jamming between the collar and the cylinder wall and ensures that the emptied bag can be removed without hindrance. If compressed air penetrates past the piston into the tubular bag chamber, there is a risk of compressed air escaping through the emptying nozzle when the cylinder chamber is sealed. This mixture of filling material and compressed air leads to considerable disturbances and object contamination. Air passages prevent this and run over the outside of the shoulder of the federal government. The compressed air can thus escape freely through the opening of the cap and does not cause any malfunctions.
  • the piston is designed according to the invention so that it is elastic and stretchable in the head and cuff area.
  • the expansion is carried out by compressed air or by the movable pressure piece used.
  • the elastic design of the piston should allow the piston to breathe, i.e. the piston expands under pressure and contracts immediately with the pressure relief or venting.
  • the volume of the displacer head and the diameter of the film discharge sleeve decrease immediately with the relief. The pack is thus immediately relieved of the squeezing pressure.
  • the reduction in the sleeve diameter ensures smooth running and unimpeded sliding of the piston to the rear.
  • the displacement head is designed in such a way that the film is dammed up without jamming, the hose jacket does not adhere to the piston head, but remains in the emptying member when the cap is removed. This makes handling easier and prevents contamination.
  • the elastic piston head ensures good residual emptying even with different emptying link shapes.
  • the rotatable cylinder thus enables the nozzle to be adjusted to the object position under working pressure during processing without interrupting the seam.
  • FIG. 1 shows, in simplified form, an emptying device 2, the head end 39 and the front end 3 being shown in section, with an almost emptied, compressed hose jacket 6 and with a one-piece reusable emptying member 1 (cut in half), which is in the cap 12 is anchored by means of caterpillar-like holding elements 44.
  • the emptying member 1 comprises an emptying nozzle 14, holding elements 42 and a short stiff collar 18 which is pressed tightly into the cylinder opening 39 of the emptying cylinder 7.
  • the flat shoulder 22, pressed by the piston 4 against the inner wall 31 of the closure cap 12, is provided on the inside on the funnel-shaped stepped foot 52 with filling material 80 and film holding elements 82.
  • the hollow elastic piston 4 is shown cut in half and has an expandable, divided sleeve 68, an expandable head 64, a sealing element 74, a guide element 70 and a flexible wall 66.
  • the compressed air pressure 78 acting on the piston 4, which expands the piston 4 as a whole, is indicated by arrows.
  • a retaining eyelet 73 is secured with a safety line 75.
  • a compressed air line 86 is secured with a rigid connection 88 against kinking.
  • An air inlet 84 on the end face is secured against air leakage by means of a double O-ring seal 92 and a union nut 94.
  • the cylinder 7 is rotatably mounted in a handle holder 23, which is preferably provided with a simple adjusting screw, not shown, against undesired rotation.
  • Fig. 2 shows the head of the emptying device 2 with the cap 12 in section with the emptying member 1 fastened therein, which has an emptying nozzle 14.
  • the emptying member 1 is provided on the foot 52 with holding elements 44 which engage with the inlet opening 16 of the closure cap 12 and produce the desired connection with the latter.
  • the centering collar 54 which is conical, improves the hold of the emptying member 1 in the closure cap 12.
  • a thread 50 at the foot of the emptying member 1 is provided for receiving a union nut 58 which, if required, can be used as a stabilizing connection between the emptying member 1 and the closure cap 12.
  • An insertion cone 45 on the foot 52 of the emptying member 1 is used for easier insertion and placement of the closure cap 12 on the emptying member 1.
  • the wall thickness 40 at the foot 52 of the emptying member 1 is designed to be elastic in the region of the holding elements 44. This enables the snap connection between the closure cap 12 and the emptying member 1.
  • Fig. 3 shows the cap 12 in section with the emptying member 1 when inserted into the cap 12.
  • the yielding elastic part 40 in the region of the holding elements formed as a continuous ring 47 is in the impressed state when inserted into the closure cap 12.
  • Fig. 4 shows the head of the emptying device 2 with the cap 12 and with the union nut 58 in section.
  • the extended nozzle of the emptying member 1 is supported against lateral deflection by an additional holder 60 which is connected to the union nut 58.
