Definitions
- Container for mixing and removing two components contained therein
- the invention relates to a container intended for single use for mixing and removing two components contained therein, with a membrane arranged inside, which divides the container into two chambers in which the separate components are located.
- Certain products such as Hair colors or glue consist of two components, which must be stored separately and only mixed with one another immediately before use.
- the components in two individual packs are mixed by transferring the component of one pack to the component of the other pack, the pack of the second component, of course, having a sufficient volume to accommodate both Components and, if necessary, additionally a free volume to facilitate the mixing process.
- a pressure-free container of the type mentioned at the outset is known, in which the individual components are separated from one another by an aluminum foil.
- the membrane acting as a membrane breaks through a molded piece which is coupled to the flexibly designed base and is actuated by finger pressure, so that the components can get from one chamber to the other, the mixing taking place he follows.
- the mixture is also applied by finger pressure on the flexible base.
- Such containers have the disadvantage that a flange projecting from the outside of the container is required to attach the membrane, which is intended for the user of such containers gives an optically unattractive impression and, in addition, increases the volume of the usually existing enveloping packaging of the container for mixing in an uneconomical manner.
- the object of the present invention is to remedy this disadvantage and to expediently replace the severing of the membrane effected by movable mechanical means.
- the object is achieved by a container which is distinguished by the wording of claim 1.
- Advantageous further developments of the container according to the invention are characterized by the features of claims 2 to 8.
- FIG. 1 shows a container with a pot-shaped membrane and in FIG. 2 shows a container with a weakened zone as a predetermined breaking point.
- the container 10 contains a pot-shaped membrane 20, on the side facing the inner wall 11 of the container 10, which is provided with an adhesive seam 21 and is fastened to the inner wall 11 of the container 10, thereby forming two chambers 30, 31, a valve 12 and, if necessary, a plug 13 on the bottom for filling the chamber 31 with one component and compressed gas: the other chamber 30 is filled with compressed gas via the valve 12 after the other component has been introduced.
- the other chamber 30 is filled with compressed gas via the valve 12 after the other component has been introduced.
- the excess pressure of the first chamber 30 is reduced to such an extent that the membrane 20 is peeled off by the force of the pressure now acting in reverse, for example at its adhesive seam 21, or is torn open at a weakened zone 25 which acts as a predetermined breaking point.
- FIG. 2 shows in the left part a container 10 with a predetermined breaking point as a weakened zone 25 in the open state and in the right part in the opened state.
- the container In order to open the membrane 20 at the predetermined breaking point, the container must be turned upside down before the valve 12 is actuated; i.e. Chamber 30 must be at the bottom, chamber 31 at the top.
- Chamber 30 When the valve 12 is actuated, the pressure in the chamber 31 is reduced so much that the membrane 20 can no longer withstand the pressure in the chamber 30 and tears at the predetermined breaking point.
- the product with the pressure medium can be discharged via the valve 12.
- the valve 12 is directed downwards in the arrangement according to FIG. 1 and upwards in the arrangement according to FIG.

Abstract
A single-use container (10) for mixing and dispensing two components contained therein comprises a membrane (20) arranged within it which divides the container into two chambers (30, 31) in which the separate components are contained. To secure this membrane (20), a flange protruding from the wall of the container (10) is required, the appearance of which is not very aesthetic and which also increases the volume of the packaging and makes it more expensive. To avoid this drawback, a container (10) in the form of a pressurized package with a dispensing valve (12) comprises a membrane (20) sealed in a sealed manner inside the container (10) and designed in such a way that a force triggered by a differential pressure introduced into the chambers (30, 31) opens the membrane (20).
