Bekannte Handgeräte zum Übertragen eines auf einem Trägerband aufge­tragenen Klebstoffilmes oder eines dort aufgenommenen doppelseitig klebenden Bandes auf ein Substrat, z. B. auf eine Papieroberfläche zum Ankleben eines anderen Papieres o.ä., weisen eine Anordnung von Vorrats­spule und Aufwickelspule in einer Ebene auf. Die Rutschkupplung, die zwischen den beiden Drehaufnahmen für die Spulen vorgesehen sein muß, wird über zwei mit den Drehbolzen zum Aufstecken der Spulen verbundene, miteinander kämmende Zahnräder angetrieben, die in einer zweiten, neben den Spulen liegenden Ebene angebracht sind. Dies hat zur Folge, daß die Bandführung und damit auch der Andruckbereich des Trägerbandes am Ende des Auftragelementes dann, wenn man eine möglichst geringe Breite des Gesamtgehäuses erreichen will, nicht mittig zur Gehäusebreite liegt, wodurch das Gerät nicht gleichermaßen gut für Linkshänder und für Rechtshänder gebrauchbar ist. Will man aber dennoch eine zur Gehäusebreite mittige Bandführung erreichen, muß auf der Seite der beiden Spulen, die den Zahnrädern gegenüberliegt, ein unnötig großer Abstand zur dortigen Gehäuseseitenwand vorgesehen werden: dies bedingt eine besondere Unhandlichkeit des Gerätes und einen vermeidbaren Material-Mehraufwand. Grundsätzlich ist jedoch das Gehäuse solcher Geräte in jedem Fall relativ groß, da es die in einer Ebene nebeneinanderliegenden Spulen (und zwar jeweils mit maximalem Bandvorrat gefüllt) aufnehmen können muß, was per se schon in einer gewissen Unhandlichkeit des Geräts resultiert, die insbesondere bei Benutzung durch Kinder oder ungeschickte Personen zu Handhabungs­schwierigkeiten führen kann. Auch bei einem anderen,aus der DE-OS 36 38 722 bekannten Handgerät sind die Spulen in einer Ebene nebeneinander angeordnet, wobei die Lage der Spulen und die äußere Gestaltung des Gesamtgehäuses jedoch so gewählt ist, daß der Auftragfuß mit der Andruckkante am vorderen Ende des (dorthin sich verjüngend zulaufenden) Gehäuses nach vorne vorragt. Bei diesem Gerät sind Andruckkante und Auftragfuß allerdings nicht gehäusemittig angeordnet, wodurch sich zwar eine Minimierung der Gehäusebreite ergibt, die Handhabbarkeit jedoch für Linkshänder deutlich ungünstiger als für Rechtshänder ist. Daneben sind zur Bandführung des Trägerbandes - in dessen Transportrichtung gesehen - der Andruckkante des Auftragfußes Führungsmittel für das Trägerband nachgeschaltet, die eine Umlenkung des in das Gehäuse hineinlaufenden Trägerbandes zur Aufwickelspule hin bewirken, wodurch erst die für die Handhabbarkeit günstige, zur Vorderseite des Gerätes sich verjüngende Gehäuseausbildung möglich wird. Die Rutschkupplung wird über ein neben der gemeinsamen Spulenebene angebrachtes Zahnradgetriebe angetrieben, wobei der Antrieb (wie auch beim zuerst genannten Gerät) von der Vorratsrolle aus erfolgt. Die an den Führungsmitteln zwischen Andruckkante und Aufwickelspule auftretenden, am Trägerband zusätzlich wirksamen Reibkräfte müssen zusätzlich noch über das Zahnradgetriebe und die Rutschkupplung aufgenommen werden, was zu einer verstärkten Dimensionierung dieser Teile führt. Beim erfindungsgemäßen Gerät wird durch die in axialer Richtung neben­einander angeordneten Spulen zunächst erreicht, daß die Gehäuselänge nicht zur Aufnahme zweier hintereinander auf gleicher Ebene ange­ordneter Spulen ausgelegt sein muß, wodurch sich eine merkliche Verkürzung ergibt. Durch die V-förmige Anstellung der beiden Spulen­ebenen gegeneinander, das Hineinragen der kleineren Spule unten in den Innenraum des Spulenkerns der größeren Spule sowie die Anordnung der Rutschkupplung im mittleren Bereich beider Spulen und zwischen diesen reduziert sich die durch das Nebeneinanderanordnen der beiden Spulen bedingte Gehäusebreite auf ein praktisches Minimum, wobei eine maximale Platzausnützung im Inneren des Gehäuses sowie ein minimales vom Gehäuse umschlossenes Gesamtvolumen auftritt. Darüberhinaus wird die Möglichkeit geschaffen, daß die Gehäuseseitenwände vom unteren Gehäuseboden nach oben hin V-förmig auseinanderlaufen, wodurch das Gehäuse eine von unten nach oben hin anwachsende Gehäusebreite erhält. Hierdurch entsteht eine sich keilförmig nach unten verjüngende Gehäuse­form, die für die Benutzung ganz besonders günstig und vorteilhaft ist. Denn oben, wo der Anpreßdruck durch die Finger des Benutzers aufge­bracht wird (da das Gehäuse vom Benutzer von oben nach unten in Richtung auf das Auftragelement hin belastet wird), liegt die größte Breite des Gehäuses und damit eine große Anlagefläche für die Druck­finger vor. Die Keilform sichert eine besonders gute Halterung in der Hand, weil das Gehäuse an den nach unten hin keilförmig zulaufenden Seitenwänden in Richtung auf die obere, durch die Handfläche gebildete Druckanlage hin verspannbar ist. Überdies verlaufen beide Seitenwände (und damit die seitlichen Greifflächen) entgegen der Abrutschrichtung für die Finger nach oben auseinander, was gleichfalls zu einer sicheren und guten Halterung des Gerätegehäuses in der Hand des Benutzers beiträgt. Durch das V-förmige Zusammenlaufen der Spulenebenen und die Anordnung der Rutschkupplung zwischen diesen wird die Möglichkeit geschaffen, den am vorderen Gehäuseende angebrachten Auftragfuß mittig zum Gehäuseboden anzuordnen, wodurch ein einseitig verschobener Bandaustritt aus dem Gehäuse vermieden und ein zielgenaues Aufsetzen des Bandes auf das Substrat sowohl für Links- wie auch für Rechtshänder gleichermaßen gut möglich ist. Insgesamt ergibt sich beim erfindungs­gemäße Gerät eine gegenüber bekannten Geräten ganz merklich verkürzte und insgesamt kompaktere Bauweise, dies in Verbindung mit der Möglichkeit einer keilförmigen Gehäuseausbildung und einer mittigen Führung des Bandes bei Bandaustritt, was alles unabhängig voneinander die Handhabbarkeit verbessert. Da zwischen beiden Spulen nur eine Rutschkupplung, nicht jedoch mehr ein Getriebe angeordnet sein muß, ist auch die Anzahl der einzusetzenden Bauteile gegenüber bekannten Geräten geringer, was erst recht für den Materialaufwand des Gesamt­gehäuses gilt. Infolge des Fehlens eines seitlichen Getriebes ist das erfindungsgemäße Gerät auch an seiner Oberseite kaum breiter als übliche Geräte, bei denen neben der Spulenbreite axial seitlich auch noch zusätzlich Platz für die Aufnahme des Getriebes erforderlich ist. Weil beim erfindungsgemäßen Gerät die Aufwickelspule schon von vorneherein einen relativ großen Durchmesser aufweist, damit die Vorratsspule selbst mit vollem Bandvorrat noch in den Innenraum des Spulenkernes der Aufwickelspule hineinragen kann, wächst der Außendurchmesser der Aufwickelspule auch bei voller Aufwicklung der ganzen Bandlänge vergleichsweise nur gering. daß die Rutschkupplung (25-27) im mittleren Bereich beider Spulen (3, 4) zwischen diesen angeordnet ist,
daß die Führungsmittel in der Bandführung des Trägerbandes (22) zwischen der Vorratsspule (3) und dem Auftragfuß (31) angebracht sind, und daß der Andruckkante (33) eine zu ihr in einem Winkel (δ) geneigte Leitkante (34) zur seitlichen Ableitung des Trägerbandes (22) in Richtung auf die Aufwickelspule (4) hin nachgeschaltet ist.
