Claims (4)

  1.     - the casing is substantially cylindrical in shape and the support surfaces (4, 5) are formed by two flats spaced apart on the underside of the casing;
    - in the direction in which the slot-shaped paper outlet (3) extends, the one support surface (5) has a width which is substantially greater than the width of the edge of the waste bin (8), while the other support surface (4) has a width which is only slightly greater than the width of the edge of the waste bin (8);
    - on at least one support surface (4, 5) a clamp device (6, 7) is disposed, by which the paper shredder (1) can be clamped fast on at least one side of the edge of the waste bin (8).
  2. Casing according to Claim 1, characterised in that the clamp device (6, 7) consists of a bearing surface (7) bounding the one support surface (4) in the direction of the paper outlet (3), and of a casing cover (6) spring-loaded in the direction of said bearing surface (7).
  3. Casing according to Claim 2, characterised in that the clamp device (6, 7) consists of a bearing surface (7) bounding the one support surface (4) in the direction of the paper outlet, and of a casing cover (6) connected by a screw thread to the casing of the paper shredder (1), so that the clamping action is produced between the casing cover (6) and the bearing surface (7) by turning the casing cover (6).
  4.
