Abstract

Within the scope of this novel filing appliance, a perforated tongue (2) is held in position so as to prevent rotation about itself; this retention can be effected by means of a fitting in any preferred base (1) or in the form of a specified link (single piece or assembly) to the complementary part (3). This complementary part, namely a catch rod (3), will be introduced into one of the openings (4) of the said perforated tongue and will remain locked under the residual-torsion effect of the tongue. The selection of the most appropriate perforation for the introduction of the catch rod makes it possible either to bind together the sheets of paper or documents by appropriate clamping, or to present the section or the whole fanned out in the manner of an open book. <IMAGE>

Introduction:

It is useful to be able to bind notebooks, syllabuses, documents or books without difficulty, and here, too, it is a question of saving time.

Current classification methods do not sufficiently meet modern requirements; moreover, the usual document holders hardly admit the presentation of documents in the form of a fan.

Object:

The present invention aims to overcome the drawbacks of known systems by offering the user a new way of rapid classification, which, thanks to its constituent elements, makes it possible to produce, by suitable assembly, the most varied forms of storage.

This new classification method 'in binding' also allows easy consultation in the form of an 'open book'.

Document holder characterized by a base (1) of your choice carrying or ready to receive on the one hand at least one flexible perforated tongue (2) and on the other hand at least one flexible stopper rod (3), each perforated tongue ( 2) being provided with openings (4) capable of receiving the end of a neighboring stopper rod (3); the tongue (2) can be twisted to engage the rod (3) and then released to block it.

The invention is now described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, for which:

• FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the document holder showing the assembly by cooperation of a stopper rod with a perforated tongue,

• FIG. 2B represents the same tongue but in front elevation,
• - Figure 3 shows in elevation a stopper rod in the straightened state.

In the different figures, the same reference notations designate the same elements.

As shown in FIG. 1, the document holder essentially comprises a base 1 carrying at one end a tongue 2 provided with perforations 4 and at the other end a stopper rod 3.

The base 1 receives or houses the feet or bases 5 of the elements 2 and 3. In particular, the element 2 (perforated tongue) comprises a foot with angular or oblong cut to prevent it from turning on itself when it is subject to torsion.

The two elements 2 and 3 are flexible. In particular, the perforated tongue 2 can be deformed by torsion, while the stopper rod 3 can bend to engage its end in one of the openings 4 according to the purpose followed:
either in a hole near the foot to guarantee that the documents to be assembled are tight,
either in a top hole to be able to easily consult the documents present.

To immobilize the stopper rod 3 engaged in one of the perforations 4, it suffices to release the twist (remanent) of the tongue 2.

The foregoing description relates to the assembly of a tongue 2 and a rod 3 - description of the principle - but it is understood that the invention is not limited to the use of these two elements alone to produce the mounting the document holder; any other assembly comprising several tongues 2 and several corresponding rod 3 will be possible, just as any mode of asymmetrical assemblies by association of a rod-cleat 3 elongated or lined with several perforated tongues 2 can be envisaged.

These examples are not limiting: Thus the perforated tongue 2 can be connected directly to the stopper rod 3 by means of a single base and thus constitute an independent clip.

Document holder characterized by a base (1) of your choice carrying or ready to receive on the one hand at least one flexible perforated tongue (2) and on the other hand at least one flexible stopper rod (3), each perforated tongue ( 2) being provided with openings (4) capable of receiving the end of a neighboring stopper rod (3); the tongue (2) being able to be twisted to engage the rod (3) and subsequently released to block it.
The combination of several of these elements, perforated tongue (2) and stopper rod (3), makes it possible to produce various forms of document class.
Similarly, the perforated tongue (2) can be connected directly to the stopper rod (3) to form a single piece and thus constitute a multi-function clip, alone or in conjunction with an appropriate base. Fig. 4 and Fig. 5.
