A device for connecting a flexible, plastic double-tube conduit (8), which comprises a water-bearing inner tube (9) and an empty tube (10) surrounding the latter, to a service-water consumer or a conduit leading to the latter, having a two-part connection box arranged in a wall recess and a connection piece (2) which is fixed in the latter, connects the inner tube (9) to the consumer or a tube conduit leading to the latter and is provided at both ends with a connection member (6, 7), the connection box being divided along a plane (E) extending transversely to the axis of the inner tube (9) into a main body (1) and a box foot (12), and the connection piece (2), which is fixed on the main body (1) before the mounting which takes place at the installation site, is accessible through an opening, facing the box foot (12), of the main body (1), with the result that the water-bearing inner tube (9) can be coupled to the connection piece (2) without prior removal of the connection piece (2), characterised in that the vertical branch of the connection piece (2) protrudes beyond the bottom edge of the main body (1) and the box foot (12) is arranged in such a way as to be movable, with a view to the required accessibility of the connection piece (2) for the double tube (8).
2. A device according to claim 1, characterised in that, on its connection side facing the consumer, the connection piece (2) has a radial flange (3) which is pressed against a shoulder (5) of the main body by means of a ring nut (4) and hence holds the connection piece in the main body.

A device according to claim 2, characterised in that the radial flange (3) of the connection piece (2) has a plurality of transmission elements (28, 28a), which engage in corresponding recesses (25, 25a) integrally formed in the interior of the main body (1) and hence, on the one hand, facilitate the exact positioning of the connection piece (2) in the main body (1) but, above all guarantee the transmission of the torque occurring during the mounting of the fitting connection from the connection piece (2), via the main body (1), to the adjoining wall.
4. A device according to claim 3, characterised in that the transmission elements (28, 28a) are profiles projecting radially outwards from the circumference of the said flange (3) which engage in the inter spaces (25, 25a) between lugs (23) integrally formed on the main body.

A device according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that integrally formed on the inside of the main body (1), in the region of that branch of the connection piece (2) which bears the lower connection member (7), is at least one torque transmission element (22), against which the main body (1) rests with one or more integrally formed profile elements (20, 21), such that the torque exerted on the connection piece (2) during the mounting of the fitting connection is also transmitted by the lower branch of the connection piece (2), via the main body (1), to the adjoining wall.
6. A device according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that, on its rear wall facing away from the consumer connection, the main body is provided with a removable cover (16) which permits the use of the connection box for 180° connection pieces as well.
7. A method for mounting the device according to any of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that
1) the main body (1) is positioned and fixed together with the connection piece (2) fixed on it beforehand in a prepared wall recess,
2) the tube conduit (8) is cut off in such a way that the inner tube (9) rests against the corresponding connection (7) of the connection piece (distance h from axis x),
3) the box foot (12) is pushed over the tube conduit (8),
4) a coupling member (13) is mounted on the thus shortened end of the inner tube (9) and screwed to the corresponding connection (7) of the connection piece, and finally
5) the box foot (12) is placed against the box main body (1) and secured on the latter.
