Description

The invention relates to a cap-shaped bottle carrier for at least two bottles, which is made from a one-piece cardboard blank and is provided with recesses into which the bottles engage in their heads, a projecting shoulder of the bottles being supported on the edge sections surrounding the recesses, and the recesses are provided in a horizontal cover plate, and with side walls articulated on the two opposite longitudinal edges of the cover plate.

From DE-A-36 27 564 a bottle carrier of this type is already known which, although it gives the bottles an excellent hold, can only be produced relatively easily and with a reasonable amount of material in one version for up to four bottles.

Such a bottle carrier is also known from US-A-4 190 149, but it has the disadvantage that when folded, gusset corners are formed which result in a large space requirement when transported in the folded state.

In contrast, the object of the invention is to create a bottle carrier which on the one hand grants the bottles a good hold and on the other hand can be transported in a space-saving manner when finished.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the bottle carrier defined in claim 1.

When the bottle carrier is folded up, there are no gusset corners and the folded sections are placed directly on top of each other. Because the folding lines for dividing the side walls start from the recesses, a small format folding is also achieved. In addition, this can easily compensate for any inaccuracies that occur when gluing together.

A further advantageous embodiment of the invention is in a bottle carrier, in which radially extending incisions extend from the recesses in the cover plate, which divide the edge sections into several segments, characterized in that some of the edge section segments (tabs) are integrally formed on the side walls and interrupts the articulation line of the side walls on the cover plate.

As a result, part of the bottle weight is fed directly into the side walls, which greatly relieves the load on the cover plate.

9,10 in drei Abschnitte 5,51,52 bzw. 6,61,62 unterteilt. Die Ausnehmungen 19,20,25,26,27,28 werden durch an der Deckplatte 2 angeformte Lappen 29 begrenzt, welche mit dieser über eine Faltlinie 30 verbunden sind.1 in FIG. 1 denotes a cardboard blank which contains a cover plate 2, on the two longitudinal edges of which a side wall 5, 6 is articulated via a fold line 3, 4. Both side walls 5 and 6 are each divided into three sections 5,51,52 and 6,61,62 by two oblique folding lines 7,8 and 9,10. In the erected state of the cardboard blank, the two outer sections 51 and 61 or 52 and 62 are each connected to an end wall 11 or 12, which are hinged to the cover plate 2 via fold lines 13, 14. The fold lines 3 and 4 each consist of two sections lying one behind the other, which are separated from one another by a flap 15 and 16 formed on the side wall 5 and 6, respectively. These tabs 15 and 16 are each divided by an incision 17, 18 into two sections and each protrude into a recess 19 and 20, respectively, which are provided in the cover plate 2. At both ends of the two folding lines 3, 4, further flaps 21, 22 and 23, 24 are provided, which are formed on the two side walls 5 and 6 and protrude into further recesses 25, 26 and 27, 28 in the side walls. The recesses 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, 28 are delimited by flaps 29 formed on the cover plate 2, which are connected to the latter by a fold line 30.

After the two end walls 11, 12 have been glued to the sections 51, 61 and 52, 62 of the two side walls, the end walls can be folded down together with these sections - as shown in FIG. 2 - so that the finished one Bottle carrier lies flat again.

An upright bottle carrier is shown in Fig. 3 and equipped with six bottles 31. The heads of these bottles protrude through the recesses in the cover plate 2 and are held by the tabs.
