Definitions
- the invention relates to a stirring device for liquid manure with a storage rack, a shaft mounted therein and a propeller attached to the shaft, and with a cutting device which has at least one knife held on the storage rack.
- the storage rack is an elongated tube that has a downward spur-like support at its end that serves to protect the propeller blades from direct contact with the bottom of the liquid manure pit.
- the propeller is often driven by a PTO shaft from the PTO of an agricultural tractor.
- liquid manure from agricultural businesses often contains long-fiber components, blades of grass and, above all, long straws. These are very tough and are not cut by the rotating propeller blades, but tend to hang over the leading edges of the blades and loop around the propeller. This greatly reduces the stirring power.
- Fresh long straw in liquid manure must also be shortened before spreading to prevent blockages in pumps and manure spreaders. Plastic cords and ropes also have to be shredded.
- scissors-like cutting devices have the fundamental disadvantage that the knives have to be positioned very precisely against one another and accordingly the propeller bearings must not have any play.
- such knives that run past each other at a very short distance dull extremely quickly. This is not only due to foreign bodies that can get caught between the knives, but especially the sand that is always contained in the liquid manure. Grazing animals bring sand into the barn with their hooves. Chicken feed regularly contains sand.
- the invention has for its object to propose a cutting device that works reliably in the long term without regrinding or readjusting the cutting elements, even if the propeller bearings have a certain axial play.
- the cutting device has at least one two-pronged fork and at least one finger, of which two cutting elements one is arranged on the storage rack and one on the shaft so that when the fingers are stirred between passes through the forks or the forks run past on both sides of the finger.
- the cutting principle is based on the fact that the fiber material lies over the fork and is transversely knocked off by the quickly running finger.
- the finger can be at a certain distance from both fork tines, as dictated by the bearing play and the usual manufacturing tolerances. Neither the forks nor the striking fingers need to be sharply ground, because the fibers are not cut in a pulling cut, but rather cut through, with each fork being held against each side by a fork. However, this does not rule out the fact that the fork tines and / or the fingers are preferably designed as knives and are arranged essentially parallel to the surface. If the knife edges are inclined accordingly, pulling cutting behavior can nevertheless develop.
- knife blades which are intended for shear bars from the mowing machine and which have approximately the basic shape of an isosceles triangle, the two legs of which are ground. These knife blades are very common and are required for mowers in large quantities, so that they are not only inexpensive, but also of excellent quality. In addition, these knife blades mostly have serrated edges, which is advantageous for the present application.
- two knife blades are congruently fastened at a certain distance from one another in radial planes with respect to the propeller shaft on the spur-like support of the bearing frame and that several individual knife blades interact with this double knife.
- These individual blades are advantageously attached in a star shape with the same angular spacing to a disk which is known from DE-GM 84 33 962 and is attached to the propeller on the suction side thereof or directly on the shaft.
- Fig. 1 shows the end portion of an elongated bearing tube 1, the other end of which is pivotally held on the tractor or in the case of an electric drive on a stationary tripod.
- a spur 3 in the form of a twice cranked tube section is attached to the bearing tube with the aid of a clamp 2.
- a support 4 is welded to the spur, which merges at the top into a T-shaped support with upturned end tabs 5.
- the bearing tube 1 is penetrated by a shaft 6, the hardwood bearing is contained in a bearing box 7 which, together with its cover 8, is screwed to the bearing tube 1 on the one hand with the T-shaped support of the support 4 and on the other hand by means of a further clamp 9.
- the cutting device shown consists of three individual rotating knife blades 15 (fingers) and a fixed double blade 16 (fork).
- the individual blades 15 are screwed at an angle of 120 ° to the back of the ring disk 13 with screws 17, so that the blade section with the two converging blades protrudes radially beyond the ring disk 13.
- smaller support screws 18 are introduced into the ring washer, against which the base edges of the knife blades 15 rest.
- the double blade 16 consists of two further knife blades 15, between which a spacer 19 is inserted. With this spacer, they are screwed to a bracket 20 fastened to the support 4, the base edges of the knife blades 15 resting on a bar 21 of the bracket. As a result, the double blade 16 is held in a rotationally fixed manner. Their blades are also aligned parallel to a radial surface. The cutting edges point towards the shaft 1 and the distance from the shaft is chosen so that the rotating knife blades 15 move between the individual blades of the double blade 16.
- the axial distance between the individual blades of the double blade 16 corresponds to the bearing play to be expected. It is therefore not necessary to readjust the blades. Nor is regrinding necessary, since the long material contained in the liquid manure is broken up with sufficient effectiveness even if the blades have become blunted due to very long use.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a stirring device for liquid manure with a storage rack, a shaft mounted therein and a propeller attached to the shaft, and with a cutting device which has at least one knife held on the storage rack. Mostly the storage rack is an elongated tube that has a downward spur-like support at its end that serves to protect the propeller blades from direct contact with the bottom of the liquid manure pit. The propeller is often driven by a PTO shaft from the PTO of an agricultural tractor.
Depending on the nature of the spreading material, liquid manure from agricultural businesses often contains long-fiber components, blades of grass and, above all, long straws. These are very tough and are not cut by the rotating propeller blades, but tend to hang over the leading edges of the blades and loop around the propeller. This greatly reduces the stirring power. Fresh long straw in liquid manure must also be shortened before spreading to prevent blockages in pumps and manure spreaders. Plastic cords and ropes also have to be shredded.
However, it is known, for example from DE-GM 86 21 176, to separate the long-fiber parts of the agitated material into pieces with the aid of a cutting device attached in the vicinity of the propeller, so that they can no longer adhere to the propeller. From the cited document it is known to arrange a knife on the spur of the storage rack at a short distance from the impeller, where "close spacing" means that the fixed knife and the individual impellers can work together almost like scissors. It is also known to sharpen the wing edges, which interact with the knife, and to form them as cutting edges.
However, scissors-like cutting devices have the fundamental disadvantage that the knives have to be positioned very precisely against one another and accordingly the propeller bearings must not have any play. In addition, such knives that run past each other at a very short distance dull extremely quickly. This is not only due to foreign bodies that can get caught between the knives, but especially the sand that is always contained in the liquid manure. Grazing animals bring sand into the barn with their hooves. Chicken feed regularly contains sand.
The invention has for its object to propose a cutting device that works reliably in the long term without regrinding or readjusting the cutting elements, even if the propeller bearings have a certain axial play.
Starting from a cutting device of the type described in the introduction, this object is achieved according to the invention in that the cutting device has at least one two-pronged fork and at least one finger, of which two cutting elements one is arranged on the storage rack and one on the shaft so that when the fingers are stirred between passes through the forks or the forks run past on both sides of the finger.
The cutting principle is based on the fact that the fiber material lies over the fork and is transversely knocked off by the quickly running finger. The finger can be at a certain distance from both fork tines, as dictated by the bearing play and the usual manufacturing tolerances.
It is particularly expedient to use commercially available knife blades which are intended for shear bars from the mowing machine and which have approximately the basic shape of an isosceles triangle, the two legs of which are ground. These knife blades are very common and are required for mowers in large quantities, so that they are not only inexpensive, but also of excellent quality. In addition, these knife blades mostly have serrated edges, which is advantageous for the present application.
As a particularly advantageous embodiment, it is proposed that two knife blades are congruently fastened at a certain distance from one another in radial planes with respect to the propeller shaft on the spur-like support of the bearing frame and that several individual knife blades interact with this double knife. These individual blades are advantageously attached in a star shape with the same angular spacing to a disk which is known from DE-GM 84 33 962 and is attached to the propeller on the suction side thereof or directly on the shaft.
- 1 is a side view of the propeller-side end section of a stirring device with cutting device which can be driven by tractor PTO shaft,
- Fig. 2 shows the propeller and the cutting device according to FIG. 1 on a larger scale and 3 shows a cross section III-III of the stirring and cutting device according to FIG. 2.
Fig. 1 shows the end portion of an elongated bearing tube 1, the other end of which is pivotally held on the tractor or in the case of an electric drive on a stationary tripod. A spur 3 in the form of a twice cranked tube section is attached to the bearing tube with the aid of a clamp 2. A
In Figures 2 and 3 it is shown more clearly that the
The cutting device shown consists of three individual rotating knife blades 15 (fingers) and a fixed double blade 16 (fork). The
The axial distance between the individual blades of the
