Behälter zur Lagerung von mit Druck beaufschlagten flüssigen oder gasförmigen Medien, der mit einer Innenverkleidung in Umlaufsform um die Längsachse X, X′ ausgebildet ist, der einen mittleren Zylinderteil sowie zwei Endteile aufweist, von denen zumindest einer nach außen gewölbt ist, und einen äußeren Umriß aufweist, der im Längsschnitt eine zumindest annähernd elliptische Form hat und der eine Bandagierung aus widerstandsfähigen, mit einem härtbaren Bindemittel umhüllten Fasern aufweist, die die Verkleidung umgibt und zumindest eine planetare oder umlaufende Wicklung besitzt, die am gewölbten Endteil ein auf die Achse X, X′ zentrierte Kappe freiläßt, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß der zumindest annähernd elliptische äußere Umriß (8) des gewölblen Endteils (2b) der Verkleidung (2) so ist, daß die Beziehung G der halben kleinen Achse zur großen Achse 0,32 ≦ G ≦ 0,40

    gilt, worin die große Achse dem Aussendurchmesser des Mittelzylinderteils (2a) der Verkleidung (2) entspricht, und daß die Dicke des gewölbten Endteils (2b) der Verkleidung (2), auschließlich der Kappe (6), nach der Formel e i = e₁ - e R - R₁ (R - R i ) + e

    variiert, worin
    Ri =   dem Abstand zur Axhse X, X′ von der Stelle des äußeren Umrisses (8) des gewölbten Endteils (2b), an dem die Dicke ei gemessen wird,
    e =   der Dicke der Verkleidung (2) in deren Mittelzylinderteil,
    R =   dem Aussenradius des Mittelzylinderteils (2a) der Verkleidung (2),
    R₁ =   dem Grundflächenradius der Kappe (6) und
    e₁ =   der Dicke der Verkleidung (2) für Ri = R₁,
    wobei die Dicke der Kappe (6) zumindest gleich e₁ ist.
  2. Behälter nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß für die Beziehung G: 0,34 ≦ G ≦ 0,35

    gilt.
  3. Behälter nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der innere Umriß (9) des gewölbten Endteils (2b) der Verkleidung (2) im Längsschnitt eine zumindest annähernde elliptische Form aufweist.
  4. Behälter nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die beiden Endteile (2b) der Verkleidung (2) nach außen gewölbt sind, wobei zumindest einer dieser Teile mit einer Einfüllöffnung (3, 10) versehen ist.
  5. Behälter nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß einer der Endteile (2b) der Verkleidung (2) einen engen Hals (10) aufweist und daß zumindest am Umfang (11) des Endteils dessen äußerer Umriß im Längsschnitt eine zumindest annähernde Ellipsenform nach der Formel (I) hat und die Dicke des Endteils (2b) zumindest am Umfang nach der Formel (II) variiert.
  6. Behälter nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zumindest auf seinem Umfang (11) des den engen Hals (10) aufweisende Endteils (2b) dessen innerer Umriß (13) im Längsschnitt eine zumindest annähernd elliptische Form hat.
  7. Behälter nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche 5 oder 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Bandagierung (4) sich an den engen Hals (10) anlehnt.
  8. Behälter nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Bandagierung (4) zumindest eine Umfangswicklung (7) auf der planetaren oder umlaufenden Wicklung (5) in Entsprechung mit zumindest dem Mittelzylinderteil (2a) der Verkleidung (2) aufweist.
  9. Behälter nach Anspruch 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Bandagierung (4) aus abwechselnden planetaren oder umlaufenden Wicklungen (5) und Umfangswicklungen (7) gebildet ist.
  10. Behälter nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche 1 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Verkleidung (2) aus Metall, beispielshalber aus Aluminium hergestellt wird.
