Description

The invention relates to a cover which can be applied to a post for lattice mats and consists of a rectangular hollow profile and can be fixed relative to the post from a sheet metal blank.

Posts for lattice mats consist of a generally metallic rectangular hollow profile. In the case of a special way of fastening the mesh mats to the post, the wall part of the post facing the mats is provided with a longitudinal slot into which a clamping strip which overlaps the mesh mats abutting in the area of the post is blown. The terminal block prevents the grid mats from being loosened by lifting them off the post. Crosspieces or tabs protruding from the post, which are usually welded to the post and trailing the first or last vertical rod of the lattice mats, prevent the mats from being detached from the post by pulling in the direction of the course of the fencing, which then also results in the deflection of the Mesh mat can act. A loosening of the mesh mats by excavation in the vertical direction is prevented by covering the post with an overhang above the post corresponding to the thickness of the mat on the mat side. These covers, which consist of sheet metal blanks, are either welded directly to the post or anchored to a web welded into the post. Welding points on the post require suitable post-treatment for reasons of corrosion protection.

On the basis of the state of the art outlined above, the invention is based on the object of largely avoiding welds in the case of enclosures of the type in question and, in particular, of opening up a possibility for the problem-free assignment of the cover to the posts forming part of the enclosure.

The object is achieved according to the invention by designing the post cover in accordance with the characterizing part of patent claim 1.

The cap according to the invention is pushed onto the post after the post has been placed from above or from the side facing away from the mat system, and is fixed to the post opposite by bending the lower part of the cap edge part, which runs transversely to the enclosure, via its notch. The lattice mats are then attached, the end regions of the upper longitudinal webs of the mats fitting into the notches in the cap edge parts running transversely to the enclosure, and the webs formed by the protrusions of the edge parts provided with notches catching the first or last vertical bar of the lattice mats. The webs that trap the vertical end bars of the mats and the notches that delimit downward in the cap edge parts that run transversely to the fencing serve first of all as assembly aids. Finally, the mats suspended from the webs with their upper longitudinal bars are then fixed in relation to the post by the clamping strip which overlaps them and is blown into the post. Thereafter, the webs act as a lock against the loosening of the mats by pulling in the direction of the fencing, which the previously provided to the Make post-welded webs or brackets unnecessary. This means that there is no need for expensive reworking on the post. The posts can then also be easily produced from surface-treated material. The webs that trap the upper longitudinal bars of the lattice mats and protrude beyond the cap edge parts extending transversely to the enclosure also prevent the cover cap from being pulled off the post.

Embodiments of the invention emerge from subclaims 2 to 7. The cap according to the invention can also be used in connection with other fastening forms of the lattice mats on the post, it likewise providing the advantages already mentioned.

  • Fig. 1 die neue kappenförmige Pfostenabdeckung in schaubildlicher Darstellung,
  • Fig. 3 den Pfosten in Fig. 2 in Richtung des Pfeiles III in Fig. 2.
The invention is explained in more detail in the drawing. Show it:
  • 1 shows the new cap-shaped post cover in a diagrammatic representation,
  • 2 shows the upper part of a post provided with the cap with lattice mats assigned to it in the direction of arrow II in FIG. 3,
  • 3 shows the post in FIG. 2 in the direction of arrow III in FIG. 2.

In the case of the rectangular fence post 1 in FIGS. 2 and 3, the side walls running transversely to the enclosure are designated 11 and 12, that of the system area for the lattice mats facing away wall part with 13 and the wall surface forming the contact surface with 14, 14 ', in the outwardly angled edge parts 141, 141' merging sections 14 and 14 'limit a longitudinal slot 16.

22′ angedeutet. The lattice mats assigned to the post 1 are indicated in FIGS. 2 and 3 by the upper longitudinal bars 21 and the first or last vertical bar 22 or 22 '.

The cap-shaped post cover 3 according to the invention shown in FIG. 1 is designed in its width B to the width of the post 1 and has a depth T which results in a projection 311 over the post 1 transversely to the course of the enclosure. Another special feature of the cap 3 is that the edge of the protrusion 311 is recessed, so that the cap only against the wall parts 11, 12 which extend transversely to the course of the enclosure and that of the contact surface of the grid mats (21, 22 ... 22 ' ) facing wall part 13 of the post 1 coming to rest, starting from the actual cover 31, edge parts (32, 33, 34), of which the edge parts 32, 33 in the area of the projection 311 of the cover 31 starting from the cover 31 with notches 321 , 331 are provided and the remaining projection of the edge parts 32, 33 webs 322, 323 and 332, 333 is slit to the bottom of the projection.

Fig. 3). The cap 3 is placed or pushed onto the post 1 in such a way that its edge part 34 comes to rest against the rear 13 of the pile (in particular Fig. 3). The webs 323, 333 of the edge protrusions (32, 33) are then the cap 3 is bent against the post 1 (arrow X in FIG. 1) and the cap 3 is thus initially fixed relative to the post 1. Then the grid mats (21, 22 ..., 22 ') are assigned to the post 1, the upper longitudinal bars 21, 21 inserting into the notches 321 and 331 in the projections of the edge parts 32, 33 of the cap 3 and the first or last vertical rod 22 or 22 'of the mats (21, 22 ... 22') in the area between the angled, the longitudinal slot 16 in the pile 1 bordering edge parts 141, 141 'of the sections 14 and 14' of the contact surface for the mat-forming slotted wall part 14, 14 'and the remaining edge protrusions 322 and 332. The cap 3 thus initially fulfills the function of an assembly aid.

The lattice mats suspended from the cap 3 are then fixed in a manner known per se by means of a terminal strip (not shown) which can be blasted into the longitudinal slot 16 and cover the lattice mats in their abutting edge region (22, 22 ') permanently on the post 1. In the final assembly situation, the lattice mats (21, 22 ... 22 ') and the cap 3 mutually block in such a way that the cap 3, the edge projections 322, 332 of which are gripped by the upper longitudinal bars 21, 21 of the lattice mats, against being pulled off (Arrow Y in Fig. 3) is secured and the lattice mats by the first or last vertical bar 22 or 22 'trailing edge projections 322, 332 optionally against loosening of the mats under the influence of tension in the direction of the enclosure (arrow Z in Fig. 2) are secured.
