10. Apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterised in that below the conveyor (1), there is provided a unit exerting a pulling force on a fed piece of washing in a direction opposite to the feed direction.

Apparatus according to Claim 10, characterised in that the unit exerting the pulling force has a substantially level or obliquely arranged suction channel (S) below the conveyor which, at its entry end, carries a stretching plate which can be moved out, the front edge of which is bowed, a switchable feed roller (R) is associated to said channel in the region of its entry end.
12. Apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the unit for exerting the pulling force has a set of pulling rollers as well as a swingable roller for introducing the rear end of a piece of washing into the clamping position of two neighbouring pulling rollers.
13. Apparatus according to one of Claims 4 to 12, characterised in that the guides for the upwards and downwards movement of the laying-on bar (2) comprise guide elements formed on the vertical carrier part (2b) of the laying-on bar (2) as well as guideways on vertical posts (8) of the swinging frame (7).
14. Apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 13, characterised in that a single swinging frame (7) with stroke unit (3) is provided across the width of the feeder apparatus.
15. Apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 13, characterised in that several swinging frames (7) with stroke unit (3) are arranged adjacent one another across the width of the feeder apparatus.
16. Apparatus according to Claim 15, characterised in that the plurality of swinging frames (7) with stroke unit (3) are operatively coupled to one another for common movement.
