- the invention relates to a rock drill for rotating and / or striking stress, in particular for impact or hammer drilling machines according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the invention has for its object to provide a drilling tool, in particular a rock drill for use in impact or hammer drills, in which the feed helix can be easily manufactured due to its design and which delivers improved results in its conveying performance compared to conventionally designed drilling tools.
- the rock drill according to the invention is based on the knowledge that it is not necessary for a satisfactory drilling dust extraction to design the complete conveying helix in a step-like or step-like manner with conveying sections which are flatter in the slope. Rather, it is sufficient if the drilling dust is loosened from time to time by a stronger axial impact component along its path over the feed spiral, so that caking of the drilling dust and thus a tendency to clog are avoided.
- the invention proposes that the conveyor helix consist of alternating horizontal conveyor sections with a 0 ° slope and slope sections, the sections each comprising a 90 ° rotation angle.
- a first horizontal conveyor section is followed by a first rising conveyor section, followed by a second horizontal conveyor section and this in turn by a second rising conveyor section connects.
- a rotation angle of 360 ° two horizontal and two rising conveyor sections are therefore provided with a pitch of the helix.
- the horizontal conveyor sections serve the loosening due to an axial acceleration and the rising conveyor sections serve the drilling dust itself.
- the conveyor helix has no undercuts in a side view of the horizontal conveyor sections.
- the two-part forging tool is designed as a stamp-shaped tool and the forging process can be carried out without rotating the conveyor helix. This is preferably achieved when the surface tangents of the horizontal conveyor section run perpendicular to the vertical plane through the horizontal conveyor section, i. - the ring segments are broken through by the inclined flanks of the rising conveyor sections.
- the invention can also be implemented as a catchy conveyor spiral.
- a two-start feed helix is advantageous because of the double drilling material outlet on the drill head.
- the rock drill according to the invention is therefore equipped in an advantageous embodiment as a breakthrough drill with a double-start feed helix with a correspondingly designed drill head. Since such a drill head itself is generally circular-cylindrical with a centering tip attached and carbide cutting elements arranged on the side, this drill head is connected to the double-start feed helix via two semicircular incisions.
- the rising conveyor sections can additionally be provided with stair-shaped flanks as described in the patent referred to in the introduction.
- the rock drill 1 shown in FIG. 1 is designed as a breakthrough drill with a correspondingly designed drill head 2 with centering tip 3 and hard metal cutting elements 4.

- the first vertical plane 11 is perpendicular to the plane of the page in FIG. 3, passes through the longitudinal axis 10 of the drill and halves the horizontal conveying section 8, 8 '.
- These two vertical planes 11, 12 are also shown schematically in FIG. 1.
- Each horizontal conveying section 8 or 8 ' is halved by the first vertical plane 11 (see FIG. 3) and each surface tangent in the drilling dust groove of the horizontal conveying section 8 or 8' is perpendicular to the first vertical plane 11 or parallel to the second vertical plane 12. 2, the horizontal conveyor sections 8, 8 'can therefore be manufactured with a two-part forging tool which runs perpendicular to the sheet plane. Abstract
A rock drill for rotating and / or striking stress, in particular for use in impact or hammer drilling machines, is proposed which, thanks to its geometrical structure, enables improved mode of operation and simplified production. For this purpose, the conveyor helix 5 is alternately formed with horizontal conveyor sections 8, 8 'with a 0 ° slope and adjoining slope sections 9, 9', the respective conveyor sections taking up an angle of rotation of 90 ° on the drilling tool.
Description
The invention relates to a rock drill for rotating and / or striking stress, in particular for impact or hammer drilling machines according to the preamble of claim 1.
The production of conveyor coils on rock drills is usually done by milling or whirling. Special forging processes for producing the drill have also become known. In all processes, the one or two-start conveyor helix runs evenly all round from the drill shank to the drill head, the helix pitch possibly varying over the length of the conveyor helix.
From DE-PS 2 013 327 it has become known to design the conveying helix not smooth but in a step-like manner in order to prevent the drilling dust located in the conveying helix from slipping off by conveying sections with a slight slope on the conveying helix. During impact drilling, the combined rotary and axial movement of the drilling tool is used, with the drilling tool rotating after the axial movement and the associated lifting of the drilling dust underneath it, and the raised particles falling onto the next higher stair section. This is intended to achieve improved conveyance without a tendency to become blocked, whereby the pitch angle and thus the conveying capacity can be increased.
The invention has for its object to provide a drilling tool, in particular a rock drill for use in impact or hammer drills, in which the feed helix can be easily manufactured due to its design and which delivers improved results in its conveying performance compared to conventionally designed drilling tools.
This object is achieved on the basis of a rock drill of the type described in the introduction, according to the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1.
The features specified in the subclaims allow advantageous and expedient developments of the inventive concept.
The rock drill according to the invention is based on the knowledge that it is not necessary for a satisfactory drilling dust extraction to design the complete conveying helix in a step-like or step-like manner with conveying sections which are flatter in the slope. Rather, it is sufficient if the drilling dust is loosened from time to time by a stronger axial impact component along its path over the feed spiral, so that caking of the drilling dust and thus a tendency to clog are avoided. For this purpose, the invention proposes that the conveyor helix consist of alternating horizontal conveyor sections with a 0 ° slope and slope sections, the sections each comprising a 90 ° rotation angle. Along a pitch or pitch, therefore, a first horizontal conveyor section is followed by a first rising conveyor section, followed by a second horizontal conveyor section and this in turn by a second rising conveyor section connects. With a rotation angle of 360 °, two horizontal and two rising conveyor sections are therefore provided with a pitch of the helix. The horizontal conveyor sections serve the loosening due to an axial acceleration and the rising conveyor sections serve the drilling dust itself.
If one divides a conveyor helix into such alternating conveyor sections, this results in a further feature essential to the invention that the conveyor helix has no undercuts in a side view of the horizontal conveyor sections. This makes it possible to produce the conveying helix in a simple process step by forging, in particular drop forging with a two-part forging tool. The two-part forging tool is designed as a stamp-shaped tool and the forging process can be carried out without rotating the conveyor helix. This is preferably achieved when the surface tangents of the horizontal conveyor section run perpendicular to the vertical plane through the horizontal conveyor section, i. H. if there are no undercuts in this conveyor section. This results in an extremely cost-effective manufacturing process even for heavy and massive drilling tools for use in heavier hammer drilling machines.
Decisive for the simple production of the conveyor helix from a forged base material is therefore the geometric shape with straight-line conveyor sections without undercuts.
The formation of the rock drill according to the invention with a double-start is particularly advantageous Conveyor helix, the opposite horizontal conveyor sections being formed by horizontal ring segments. The ring segments themselves serve to guide the drilling tool well in the borehole, since the ring segments ensure optimal lateral support over the entire drilling length. The ring segments are broken through by the inclined flanks of the rising conveyor sections.
Of course, the invention can also be implemented as a catchy conveyor spiral. In the case of a drilling tool with a stepped drill head with centering tip (breakthrough drill), a two-start feed helix is advantageous because of the double drilling material outlet on the drill head.
The rock drill according to the invention is therefore equipped in an advantageous embodiment as a breakthrough drill with a double-start feed helix with a correspondingly designed drill head. Since such a drill head itself is generally circular-cylindrical with a centering tip attached and carbide cutting elements arranged on the side, this drill head is connected to the double-start feed helix via two semicircular incisions.
In a special embodiment of the invention, the rising conveyor sections can additionally be provided with stair-shaped flanks as described in the patent referred to in the introduction.

Im unteren Bereich der Förderwendel 5 schließt sich der Bohrerschaft 7 an.The rock drill 1 shown in FIG. 1 is designed as a breakthrough drill with a correspondingly designed
As can be seen from Fig. 1 in a perspective view and from Fig. 2 and 3 in the respective side view, the
The feed spiral of the drill according to the invention is also characterized in that the feed spiral has no undercuts in the
Each
As indicated in Fig. 2 in the upper area, two are laterally in a two-start conveyor spiral Opposite
9′.Even with the rising
The rising
In der Fig. 4 ist schematisch die Wirkungsweise des erfindungsgemäßen Gesteinsbohrers dargestellt:The operation of the rock drill according to the invention is shown schematically in FIG. 4:
The drilling dust generated in the borehole reaches the first
