Aufschieben auf das Gebläsegehäuse 2 wieder montiert werden. Claims (10)

1. A safety device for a fan having a lattice (1) arranged over the opening of the fan housing (2) and formed from wires, which lattice rests through a clamp connection against the fan housing (2),
characterised in that the fan is driven by a V-belt (14) of a combustion engine and the lattice (1) is arranged to lie stationarily on four approximately identically formed clamping stirrup pieces (3), three of which are arranged offset in relation to one another in each case by 90° and the fourth clamping stirrup piece (3a) includes with its two adjacent clamping stirrups for the one part an angle of more than 90° and for the other an angle of less than 90°.
2. A safety device according to Claim 1,
characterised in that, in the centre of the lattice (1), a plate (4), especially a disc, is arranged on which the clamping stirrup pieces (3) are secured.
3. A safety device according to Claim 1 or 2,
characterised in that the clamping stirrup pieces (3) comprise wires the diameter of which is larger than the diameter of the lattice wires.
4. A safety device according to any one of Claims 1 to 3,
characterised in that the lattice sections (10a, 10b) adjacent to the fourth clamping stirrup piece (3a) lie axially staggered.
5. A safety device according to any one of Claims 1 to 4,
characterised in that the opening of the fan housing (2) is made circular and the clamping stirrup pieces (3) are made in circular segment form, seen in the axial direction of the lattice (1),and the outermost circumferential region (5), seen in the axial direction, is bent off in the axial direction approximately at right angles to the fan opening.
6. A safety device according to Claim 5,
characterised in that the outermost circumferential region (5) possesses a semi-circular cross-section (2), seen in the circumferential direction.

characterised in that each of the two stirrup pieces of the outermost circumferential region (5) contacts the fan housing (2) at two points (7a, 7b).
8. A safety device according to any one of Claims 5 to 7,
characterised in that the clamping stirrup pieces (3) are made at the entry radius of the fan housing (2) with a clearance (8) from the latter.
9. A safety device according to any one of Claims 5 to 8,
characterised in that the clamping stirrup pieces (3) have a bend (9) between the plate (4) and the outermost circumferential region (5).
10. A safety device according to any one of Claims 5 to 9,
characterised in that the two equal sides of each of the clamping stirrup pieces (3) include an angle of approximately 45°.
