Claims (6)

  1. A lock for locking and unlocking motor vehicle doors, especially boot doors, comprising a movable lock cylinder, actuation of which effects the locking and unlocking by pressure or rotation and which is in a starting position corresponding to unlocking, characterized in that the lock cylinder or an element associated therewith may be moved from this starting position into a position which is displaced outwardly with respect to this starting position in such a way that manual grasping of the lock cylinder or of the element is ensured.
  2. A lock according to claim 1, characterized in that the lock cylinder is moved manually outwards out of its starting position or back into its starting position.
  3. A lock according to claim 1, characterized in that after actuation of unlocking the lock cylinder is withdrawn automatically via the starting position or after locking of the lock is brought automatically again into the starting position.
  4. A lock according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that an element completely or partially comprising the lock cylinder is associated with the latter, which element may be moved out of the starting position of the lock cylinder into a position which is displaced outwardly with respect to the starting position in such a way that manual grasping of the element is ensured.
  5. A lock according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that an element arranged in the lock is associated therewith, which element may be moved out of the starting position of the lock cylinder into a position which is displaced outwardly with respect to the starting position in such a way that comfortable manual grasping of the element is ensured.
  6. A lock according to claim 4 and claim 5, characterized in that movement of the element into the outwardly displaced position and back is triggered by the locking and unlocking process respectively.
