Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a plastic film which is provided on one of its two surfaces with a silicone layer. Such films are usually used to cover self-adhesive coated films or papers. The low adhesive forces of the silicone layer on the covered adhesive layer make it easy to remove the cover film before the adhesive film is used as intended.
After the silicone layer has been applied, it takes a certain amount of time to harden, which can easily be done in the wound state. It has been found, however, that pressure marks in the base film, in particular due to unavoidable fluctuations in thickness, have an adverse effect on curing. It is therefore without special precautions during the winding process, e.g. the use of rolls that are as short as possible and wound without pressure, not possible to always obtain perfectly cured silicone coatings.
The invention has for its object to design the plastic film so that it allows a perfect curing of the applied silicone layer without special precautions of the type described. This hardening is achieved, for example, when At all points on the coating, the release force values of equal to or less than 0.2 N / 15 mm, measured with Tesa 651 adhesive tape and stored for 2 hours at 40 ° C, must not be exceeded.
This object is achieved in that at least the other side of the plastic film facing away from the silicone layer has a surface roughness that extends over the entire surface.
This surface roughness results in a cushioning effect in the wound web, so that irregularities are largely eliminated and pressure points are avoided.
It has turned out to be very advantageous if, according to the invention, the surface roughness is generated by an embossing pattern with an embossing depth of 2 to 30 μm.
Such an embossing already has the desired success without having a direct disadvantageous effect on the silicone coating.
A further advantageous embodiment of the invention is that a layer with a mineral filling is provided at least on the side of the film facing away from the silicone layer.
This mineral filling also has a cushioning effect so that irregularities cannot lead to pressure points.
Another very advantageous embodiment according to the invention is that a foamed layer is provided at least on the side of the film facing away from the silicone layer.
The cushioning effect of this foamed layer, despite its very small thickness, also very effectively prevents the formation of pressure points.
A further advantageous aspect of the invention results in that for the user of the siliconized film, the backside matting or embossing of the non-siliconized side creates an optical aid for identifying the film sides.
In certain cases, the one-sided siliconized film is coated directly on the back with adhesive. In these cases, as a further advantageous aspect, the adhesive adhesion increases due to the increased contact area due to the roughening.

When the film is wound up into a roll, the rough underside comes to rest on the silicone layer of the layer below, which compensates for any irregularities and thus avoids pressure points.
