Description

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Spundfaß aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff zur Lagerung und zum Transport von gefährlichen Flüssigkeiten gemäß den Merkmalen des Oberbegriffs des Anspruchs 1The invention relates to a bung of thermoplastic material for the storage and transport of dangerous liquids according to the features of the preamble of claim 1

Such a barrel is previously known from DE-A-35 26 921. It is a bung barrel, which is made in its entirety in the blow molding process and in which the carrying and transport rings are made in one piece and solid, i.e. consisting of solid material, are formed from the barrel jacket. However, sheet drums are also known in which the tubular barrel casing part and the barrel end regions are produced separately from one another. The end areas produced by the injection molding process with the carrying and transport rings located thereon are welded onto the tubular barrel body in a further operation.

From the prior publication BE-A-819 446 a plastic barrel is known, which also has an upwardly extending handling ring. This plastic keg is a beer keg that consists of two parts that are injection molded. Here, a cylindrical upper part and a bottom part are firmly connected to one another by means of a few ultrasonic spot welding connections and sealed off from one another in a gas-tight and liquid-tight manner by means of an interposed sealing ring. Thereafter, different sizes of beer kegs with the same diameter but different lengths of the upper cylinder part can be produced, whereby the same bottom part can always be used. In a straight extension of the beer keg wall, a cylindrical upper edge is designed as a handling ring, in which at least two handle openings are provided. Such beer kegs in usual keg sizes from 10 l to a maximum of 50 l are usually lifted or carried and transported by hand and are not intended or suitable for handling for industrial lifting and transport devices such as forklifts with keg grabs or crane lifting devices.

For the use of a drum gripper, suitable carrying and transport rings of sheet piles made of thermoplastic for storing and transporting dangerous liquids have, for example in accordance with DE-GM 76 00 621, a horizontal and a vertical web in cross-sectional view. Here, the vertical web is aligned with its free end to the respective top surface of the barrel and the horizontal web is formed radially outward from the barrel jacket. Because the control of peak loads in the critical weld area of the respective carrying and transport rings was difficult in this embodiment, the carrying and transport ring was designed in accordance with the aforementioned DE-A-35 26 921 so that the critical welding zones are largely relieved of bending forces , The ring is elastic in the circumferential direction and thus deformable with respect to the barrel jacket under impact stress, and the connection of the carrying and transport ring to the barrel jacket is designed to be flexible. For this purpose, the carrying and transport ring was connected to the barrel via an annular connecting web that adjoins the horizontal contact surface and enters the barrel jacket.

The annular connecting web is only loaded by harmless tensile loads which are introduced into the barrel jacket when the barrel is being carried and transported in the barrel gripper.

If the annular connecting web of the carrying and transport ring runs into the barrel jacket at an acute angle to the barrel axis in the interests of a connection that is as elastic as possible, the bottom of the groove ends between the carrying and transport ring and the adjacent conically rising jacket part on the level of the horizontal contact surface of the ring. So that the space between this surface and the conical shell part of the barrel is very narrow, especially since the stacking forces that arise when stacking another filled barrel on the barrel end surface are to be dissipated directly into the remaining barrel shell via the cone surface. Such an embodiment can be found in DE-OS 35 26 921.

This constriction makes it difficult to use a barrel gripper, which must therefore be given a special shape. In order to be able to use any drum grippers, in particular those for sheet metal drums, the invention proposes to design the bung barrel with the characterizing features of claim 1. The base of the groove is arranged between the connecting ring and the casing part which rises conically against the barrel end region at a distance below the horizontal contact surface of the carrying and transport ring, the connection ring being formed from an axial extension of the cylindrical barrel casing part.

This measure creates enough space for barrel grippers of conventional designs in order to freely insert the upper gripper arm behind the vertical contact surface of the carrying and transport ring. It is also guaranteed that the radial outer edge of the carrying and transport ring remains unchanged, because this is the prerequisite for the ability to palletize the barrel.

However, manual handling is also made considerably easier by increasing the intervention space. By extending the connecting ring compared to an older proposal that the bottom of the groove between the support and transport ring and the adjacent jacket part ends at the level of the horizontal contact surface, the circumferential elastic connection to the barrel jacket is favored as a particular advantage.

When extending the height of the connecting ring according to the invention, the same wall thicknesses result in the cylindrical region of the jacket, in the adjacent area of the jacket part which rises conically against the end face of the barrel and in the area of the connecting ring.

In particular, the possibly still reduced wall thickness in the connecting ring and the flexibility thus achieved causes the same deformation stresses in the case of a filled barrel to cause the same deformation stresses in all wall cross sections involved, so that no harmful peak stresses with the consequence of jacket cracks can occur.

In addition, by extending the connecting ring when the barrel falls, the pivoting path of the ring part hitting the ground is shortened into the deformation days, and thus the change in angle in the transition of the connecting ring in the cylindrical jacket part is smaller. The reduction in the deformation paths and angles helps to reduce the material stress.

A jacket region rising from the annular groove and rising conically into the end face of the barrel is therefore provided in order to ensure a so-called crumple zone in which the main impact energy is consumed. This is done in such a way that the groove base of the respective carrying and transport ring is arranged at a distance below the horizontal contact surface. The height of the conical jacket region with the adjoining head end surface is advantageously raised to or above the level of the upper edge surface of the carrying and transport ring.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown for example.

In the vicinity of the barrel end surface 6 there is the support and transport ring 1, which is solid in cross section, with a horizontal contact surface 2 and a vertical contact surface 3 for the gripper arms, not shown in the drawing, of an inserted drum gripper.
