Abstract

In a process for pre-twisting a synthetic multifilament yarn, the yarn is twisted at 0.5 to 3.0 bar before entering the drawing, texturing, and/or drawing texturing regions, to ensure problem-free subsequent processing to a pattern-free textile fabric without further twisting after the texturing or drawing process.

Description

The invention relates to a method for pre-intermingling a partially drawn polyester POY, original yarns for the drawing, texturing and / or drawing texturing process by means of an air intermingling nozzle for producing a textile yarn or plain yarn for textile fabrics and the yarn produced by the process.

Sufficient thread closure is required to ensure that bobbin runs smoothly when processing a multifilament synthetic yarn. Twisting and sizing had proven to be effective for creating a thread closure of a multifilament yarn. Both methods, however, require increased expenditure on machinery and transport technology.

In order to create a usable thread closure, aerodynamic processes have also been developed, in which the yarn under a defined tension is swirled out of a nozzle by means of compressed air. This process takes place after the texturing or stretching process.

According to EP-A-0 137 088, a swirling process is known, according to which an undrawn or partially stretched original yarn, for a false twist texturing process, is swirled weakly at an air pressure of approximately 0.5 bar, in order to avoid the actual texturing process due to too intensive swirling points in the form of knots disturb. The knots created in the original yarn must dissolve again during the further processing of the yarns in order to avoid defects. The object of the known method is to reduce thread breaks, particularly in the case of fine-fibrillated yarns. After texturing, these are yarns then swirl again, whereby the thread closure of the textured yarn produced here has the same task as for the original yarn, namely the improvement or the guarantee of further processability. However, the swirling points according to the known method have the disadvantage that they disrupt the uniformity of the product image, especially in the case of fine titers. So far, it has not been possible to weave sufficiently interwoven textured yarns for a smooth bobbin run-off without giving up an uneasy product appearance.

However, a method for the simultaneous stretch texturing of partially stretched polyamide yarns is also known, with swirling using an air swirling nozzle before entering the texturing zone (FR-A-22 96 710). The swirling takes place with an air pressure of at least 2.5 bar, 100-1000 swirls / m, preferably more than 300 swirls, being aimed for. A strong intermingling in the master yarn has the disadvantage, however, that with polyester POY the knots are only partially dissolved during texturing. The result is an insufficient uniformity of the crimp, which leads to a clear drawing in the tissue.

The object of the invention is to provide a method which ensures good thread closure in a textured or stretched filament yarn, ensures problem-free bobbin flow during further processing and enables a fabric which is as free of drawings as possible.

The invention serving to achieve the object is characterized in that the feed yarn is swirled at an air pressure of 0.5 to 2.0 bar.

Surprisingly, it has been possible to increase the intensity of the interlacing of the master yarn in such a way that on the one hand the texturing process is not disturbed and on the other hand the textural yarn receives the thread closure required for further processing without repeated interlacing. The same also applies to known drawing processes in which the master yarns are drawn into plain yarns. In the pre-intermingling according to the invention, the intermingling takes place before the yarn enters the texturing device at an air pressure in the nozzle body of 0.5 to 2.0 bar.

It is advantageous and surprising that the pre-interlaced yarn, which is both a textured yarn and a plain yarn can have a "continuously" swirling characteristic. The term "continuous" swirling denotes a type of swirling that has no pronounced swirling points, in contrast to the known swirling, for which clearly visible nodes are characteristic at periodic intervals.

Die Prüfgeschwindigkeit betrug 1000 m/min die geprüfte Garnlänge je Variante 1,6 x 10⁵ m.In the preferred printing range, the number of fluff also reaches a minimum of approximately 80 fluff per 100,000 m of yarn length and provides a drawing-free product image in a fabric. Fluff means broken filaments and / or thread elements protruding from the thread core. The fluff was measured using a TORAY measuring head, which works on the electro-optical principle. The test speed was 1000 m / min, the tested yarn length per variant 1.6 x 10⁵ m.

The invention will be explained in more detail by means of examples.

Beispiel 1example 1

A polyester POY with a titer of nominally dtex 100 f 72 was used as the feed yarn. Closed 2-hole nozzles, for example with an air duct diameter of 0.7 mm, are best suited as interlacing nozzles. However, other commercially available swirling nozzles can also be used, which ensure a constant pressure in the stressed area. After the swirling, the texturing was carried out at 500 m / min on an FK6-CF texturing machine from BARMAG AG.

Pro Variante wurden 8 Spulen à 1,8 kg hergestellt. Die Versuchsergebnisse sind in der nachfolgenden Tabelle zusammengestellt.8 coils of 1.8 kg each were produced for each variant. The test results are summarized in the table below.

Starting from a base value of 21 knots / m for a yarn textured without a swirling device, the intermingling increases continuously to 65 knots / m at an air pressure of 2.5 bar. For further processing, it is essential and surprising that the number of knots is far below that of a yarn normally intermingled at 2.5 bar, without the bobbin winding deteriorating. In the variant referred to as normally swirled, the swirling takes place in a known manner following the texturing before winding.

Beispiel 2Example 2

Figure imgb0003
A polyester POY with a titer of nominally dtex 167 f 36 octolobal was used as the original yarn by the method according to the invention. The test results are summarized in Table 2. The same tendencies can be seen in the bobbin winding behavior, the number of knots and the fabric image.
Figure imgb0003

The textured yarn produced by the method according to the invention results in a perfect fabric appearance of the fabric, since obviously only a sufficient dissolution of the applied swirling points occurs during the texturing process that the remaining swirling comes close to a so-called "continuous" swirling. An advantage of the quasi-continuous interlacing is above all the low drawing in the fabric with at the same time sufficient thread closure for perfect processing.
