  2. An isolating switch according to claim 1, characterised in that the indents (12) are formed so that the distance between the fastening bracket (9) and the rail section (6) is ultimately suitable for a welding operation.
  3. An isolating switch according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the indents (12) are circular.
  4. An isolating switch, particularly an extra-high tension isolating switch having rotatable support or drive insulators (2), having a base-frame (1) comprising L-shaped rail sections (6) facing each other with at least one limb (7) in each case, having bearing elements (8) placed on the upper limbs (7) and having support insulators (2) attached to the bearing elements (8) by means of bearing journals, wherein the base-frame (1) consists of two rail sections (6) disposed parallel and side by side with their upper section limbs (7) facing each other, and the two rail sections (6) are joined firstly by bearing elements (8) fastened to the upper section limbs (7) and secondly by fastening brackets (9), which are attached to the vertical section webs (6a, 6b) and each of which has at least one fastening hole, to form a frame which is resistant to torsion transverse to the longitudinal axis of the rail sections (6), characterised in that the fastening brackets (9) are of U-shaped construction, are disposed protruding beyond the lower edge of the rail sections (6) which are disposed parallel and side by side, and are attached to the latter.
  5. An isolating switch according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the width of the base-frame (1) approximately corresponds to the height of the rail sections (6).
  6. An isolating switch according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the vertical extent of the bearing elements (8) is not more than 1.5 times that of the base-frame (1).
  7. An isolating switch according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the fastening brackets (9) have a wall thickness which is at least twice that of the rail sections (6).
  8. An isolating switch according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the flange (11) of the bearing elements (8) has a wall thickness which is at least twice that of the rail sections (6).
  9. An isolating switch according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that additional stays are disposed in the central region of the base-frame (1), which are each preferably constructed as a flat steel bar extending transversely to the lower edges of the rail sections (6) and fastened to the latter.
  10. An isolating switch according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the rail sections (6) have the shape of a Z-section in the fastening region.
  11. An isolating switch according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the fastening bracket (9) is welded to the section webs (6a, 6b) over less than 80 % of its width and the section webs (6a, 6b) are indented in the region which is not welded.
  12. An isolating switch according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that holes in the mutually facing upper section limbs (7), for fastening the bearing elements (8) and for fastening earthing switch rotating units, are situated in a line, and that this line is at a distance from the section edge which is the most favourable for mechanical stiffness.
  13. An isolating switch according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that for a welded joint between fastening brackets (9) and rail sections (6), one of which has a reduced web height due to manufacturing tolerances, the fastening bracket (9) is disposed parallel to the plane of the upper section limb (7) of the rail sections (6) which are disposed parallel and side by side, and the intermediate space at the rail section (6) produced with a lower web (6b) is filled with weld material (13).
