Abstract

In a cutlery-holding basket (5) for a dish-washing machine (1), in which the items of cutlery (6) which are to be washed and dried can be individually laid down lengthwise alongside one another in separate cutlery holders (9a) and cutlery supports (9b), the cutlery supports (9b) are constructed with differently profiled support surfaces (11) and/or different support heights. Because of this measure, it is equally possible for any arbitrary collection of items of cutlery (6) from various different sets of cutlery to be cleaned and dried in an optimal fashion.

Description

The object of the invention relates to a cutlery basket for a dishwasher, in which cutlery items to be washed and dried individual cutlery lying on the side in receptacles can be placed one behind the other at a distance, the receptacles as separate cutlery holders and cutlery supports with corresponding contact and support surfaces for the cutlery parts are trained.

Such a cutlery basket is known from DE-OS 34 47 302.

In the known cutlery basket, the distances between the cutlery holders aligned in parallel in the basket and the cutlery supports are selected so that large and small cutlery items from different cutlery can be stored in a space-saving and clear manner, with a good cleaning and drying result being achievable.

To support the drainage of water from the cutlery parts and to avoid larger droplet accumulations, the contact and contact surfaces of the cutlery holder and cutlery supports that come into contact with the cutlery parts are designed in such a way that there are only small contact points if possible. The cutlery supports are designed either as slidable or frame-fixed strips with wave-shaped or sawtooth-shaped support surfaces for the cutlery and each have the same support heights for the cutlery items to be put down.

In the known cutlery basket, it may happen when sorting mainly the larger cutlery items, such as knives or large spoons of different cutlery with cutlery shapes that differ from one another in particular, that the cutlery items placed for cleaning are touched by the cutlery racks in places that do not always match one Drop drainage of stuck drops correspond to the cheapest deepest contact points on the cutlery part, so that water stains may remain on the cleaned and dried cutlery. It has also been found that, especially in the case of a piece of cutlery with a blade-shaped support surface (e.g. knife blade) between the contact profile (e.g. sawtooth) of the cutlery support and the cutlery part, water drops can form, which also leave drying or water stains after the cutlery has dried. Such water or drying stains on the otherwise bare knife blades are often perceived as bothersome and unsanitary.

The invention has for its object to improve a cutlery basket of the type mentioned so that any cutlery items of different cutlery can be placed equally well in the cutlery basket and optimally cleaned and dried, and that an annoying water drop accumulation on the cutlery parts is effectively prevented.

The object is achieved according to the invention by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.

Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen gehen aus den Unteransprüchen hervor.Advantageous configurations emerge from the subclaims.

By designing the cutlery basket with cutlery supports with different support profiles and / or support heights and by combining the cutlery supports under Inclusion of the cutlery holder for individual cutlery support groups creates cutlery receptacles adapted to the different cutlery parts with an optimal arrangement of the contact surfaces. The number of contact or contact surfaces, which only allow point contact, is limited to a minimum. For example, only knife-shaped, flat cutlery supports are provided for the knife rest, which are higher than the sawtooth-shaped cutlery receptacles for the small and large spoons, which are preferably located between these supports. This makes it possible, with a suitable cutlery shape, to have the supports for the spoons reach just below the knife in order to additionally drain off the water drops hanging on the knife at various points. In addition, the cutlery supports provided according to the invention at the critical points for drop formation take over the water drop drainage. The support height of the cutlery receptacles can also be selected in such a way that there is a slight inclination of the individually placed cutlery parts towards the basket bottom. This inclination supports the drainage of water up to the points of contact of the cutlery supports that act as drainage elements.

  • Fig. 2 den Besteckkorb ausschnittweise in der Draufsicht,
The following description serves to explain the subject matter of the invention, an exemplary embodiment of which is shown in the drawings. It shows:
  • 1 is a perspective view of a dishwasher with the appliance door open, with a cutlery basket inside the washing compartment,
  • 2 a cutout of the cutlery basket in plan view,
  • 3 shows the cutlery basket in longitudinal section along the line III-III, according to FIG. 2.

The dishwasher (1) shown in Fig. 1 for cleaning, washing and drying dishes and cutlery has a washing compartment (2) which is equipped with two pull-out dishes (3, 4). The crockery baskets (3, 4) are assigned unspecified spray devices which act on the crockery placed in the baskets with washing liquid both from above and from below.

Die Besteckteile (6) werden ohne gegenseitige Berührung jeweils auf der Seite liegend in den Besteckkorb (5) eingeordnet bzw. abgelegt.(5) denotes a separate cutlery basket which can also be pulled out of the wash cabinet (2) and is intended for receiving and sorting storage of small and large cutlery items such as spoons, forks, knives, ladles etc. The cutlery parts (6) are placed or placed on the side in the cutlery basket (5) without touching each other.

The cutlery basket (5) (Fig. 2) consists of a flat, basket-like frame (7) with / without wheels or the like in the basic dimensions of a crockery basket. One or more flat basket inserts (8) are preferably provided interchangeably in the frame (7). According to the selected embodiment according to FIG. 2, two basket inserts (8) in the form of sieve inserts are provided as cutlery basket bases, which are equipped with cutlery receptacles (9) for the occasional storage of the cutlery parts (6). In the middle of the cutlery basket (5), the two basket inserts (8) leave an opening (10), which on the one hand makes it easier to remove the inserts from the cutlery basket and on the other hand allows washing liquid to pass through from the ceiling of the wash cabinet to supply the middle spray arm. The opening (10) can also serve as a centering aid for the two basket inserts (8) and can be designed accordingly with guides.

The cutlery receptacles (9) (FIGS. 2 and 3) consist of cutlery holders (9a) and separate cutlery supports (9b) which are preferably molded onto the bottom of the cutlery basket (5). and (9c). The cutlery holders (9a) are designed as toothed strips, the cutlery supports (9b) as strips with preferably sawtooth-shaped support surfaces (11) and the cutlery supports (9c) as flat profile strips with cutting-shaped support surfaces (11) for the cutlery parts (6). The cutlery holder (9a) and the cutlery supports (9b, 9c) are arranged parallel to each other in the cutlery basket (5) or in the basket inserts (8). The cutlery holders (9a) usually hold the handle parts of the cutlery and the cutlery supports (9b, 9c) the blades, spoons etc. of the knives or spoons. However, an exception to this rule is often desirable and also advantageous for the knife rest (FIG. 3) because of the shape of a knife, which differs significantly from the other cutlery items. 3, the handle parts of the knives then only rest on the cutlery supports (9c), while the knife blades are additionally supported laterally in the receiving openings (12) of the cutlery holder (9a). In this case, the contact surfaces (13) of the cutlery holders (9a) are either cut-like in form of cutlery supports (9c) or are formed as molded-on cut-out or knob-shaped approaches in order to achieve only small, approximately point-shaped contact surfaces.

The different cutlery supports (9b, 9c) are subdivided into individual cutlery support groups in the cutlery basket (5) in order to adapt to the different cutlery parts and / or cutlery shapes, so that practically every spoon or fork and knife is assigned predetermined cutlery receptacles (9) . The individual cutlery supports (9b, 9c) and, if applicable, the cutlery holders (9a) also have different support heights, which minimizes the contact points on the cutlery tray. One or more identical cutlery supports (9b) or (9c) form a cutlery support group, the different supports preferably in alternating order in the cutlery basket (5) are arranged.

According to the selected arrangement (Fig. 2 and 3) of the cutlery receptacles (9) in the cutlery basket (5) are two cutlery holders (9a) with three cutting-shaped, flat cutlery supports (9c) between the holders and then two cutlery supports (9b ) with a sawtooth-shaped support surface (11) and a knife-shaped cutlery support (9c). This is followed by a cutlery support group consisting of three sawtooth-shaped cutlery supports (9b), whereupon a cutlery cutlery support (9c) with a flat support surface (11) forms the end. The cutlery supports (9c) provided between the cutlery holders (9a) and also forming a support group for the knives serve as supports for the knife edges, the cutters being supported laterally by the cutlery holders (9a) on the blades via the contact surfaces (13). The other three knife-shaped cutlery supports (9c) on the left of the cutlery holders (9a) are assigned to the handle parts of the knives as a cutlery support group. These cutlery supports (9c) each have a support height that is above the height of the sawtooth-shaped cutlery supports (9b). The cutlery supports (9b), which are thus lower, can optionally be used as additional water drop removal devices for the cutlery parts bridging them (e.g. knives), but without touching them.

Between the last two cutlery supports (9c) for the knives, three cutlery supports (9b) are provided for supporting the spoon bowls of large spoons, which also form a cutlery support group. The handle parts of the spoons are supported both laterally and underneath on the corresponding contact or support surfaces (13) of the cutlery holders (9a). This also applies to the placement of small spoons, the spoon monkeys of which only one sawtooth-shaped cutlery support (9b) as a cutlery support group between two knife-shaped cutlery supports (9c) are touched. The three cutlery supports (9b) combined into a group also serve to store the forks.

The support height of the individual cutlery holders and cutlery supports can also be selected so that the cutlery parts (6) assume an inclined storage position in relation to the cutlery basket base. This ensures a supportive effect in the drainage of water down to the support points of the individual cutlery items (6). Instead of the sawtooth-shaped cutlery supports, strip-shaped supports with a wavy profile can also be provided. Sawtooth-shaped cutlery supports (9b) are particularly advantageous for storing and holding curved cutlery items such as spoons or forks, especially if they are provided in groups. The tooth profile of the cutlery supports (9b) prevents the sorted cutlery parts (6) from tipping over. If necessary, the knife-shaped cutlery supports (9c) with the larger support height can also serve as a support.
