Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a chair, in particular swivel chair and movable wheel swivel chair with armrests.
In the case of computer, typewriter and data processing workstations, it has been shown that neither conventional armrests on the swivel chairs nor handrests on the work tables are particularly suitable for correct and fatigue-free work.
To achieve this object, the chair according to the invention is characterized in that each armrest has a support surface adapted to the size of an elbow exclusively as an elbow support, in which only the elbow joint is supported
Each support surface preferably has the shape of a circular cushion with a diameter between 10 and 18 cm, preferably 15 cm. The support surface can also have the shape of a support trough which is open on one side.
According to a further invention, it is provided that the elbow support can be rotated about a vertical axis and, if necessary, attached to height-adjustable brackets or carrying brackets. Each bracket can preferably be laterally adjustable inwards and outwards; the individual support bracket can preferably also be able to be given away forwards and backwards about an axis lying below the chair seat surface, preferably in the region of the main chair axis.
According to a further invention it is provided that each armrest is rotatably attached to an armrest support about at least two, preferably three, vertical axes, in particular each armrest as an elbow support having a support surface adapted to the size of an elbow, in which only the elbow joint is supported.
The fact that each armrest is rotatable about two, preferably three axes, ensures that regardless of body size and body dimensions a person sitting on the chair and largely regardless of the sitting position that person occupies in the chair, the armrest or elbow support can be placed at any desired or required point, whereby the previous rotation or sliding of the elbow on the Armrest or elbow support and thus also the "erasing" of clothing or sleeves is eliminated.
Preferred embodiments of the invention are dealt with in the subclaims, in particular in
