Die Steuerung betätigt außerdem eine Zentriereinrichtung und eine Seitenverlegeeinrichtung sowie eine Abbindeeinrichtung. Während des neuen Wickelvor­gangs binden die Abbindeeinrichtungen am anderen Wickelkopf das Wickelgut ab, so daß dieses abgeworfen bzw. abgenommen werden kann. Bevor der gerade laufende Wickelvorgang abgeschlossen ist, steht der andere Wickelkopf schon wieder in der Warteposition, um wieder mit Wickelgut beschickt zu werden. Besonders vorteil­haft ist die erfindungsgemäße Verwendung eines einzigen Wickelmotors für beide Wickelköpfe, wobei jedem Wickel­kopf eine elektromagnetische Kupplung zugeordnet ist, über die eine Antriebsverbindung zum Wickelmotor her­stellbar ist.The solution to this problem is obtained in a system of the type mentioned by the features specified in the main claim. Außerdem läßt sich das Verlegerohr 8 bei der Zufuhr des Wickelguts 7 zum Wickelkopf exakt positionieren, so daß der Wickelgutanfang 10 in eine am Wickelkopf vorgesehene, an sich bekannte Klemmeinrich­tung einführbar ist. Mittels des Antriebs 5, der als Wickelmotor dient kann wahlweise der Wickelkopf 1 oder der Wickelkopf 2 angetrieben werden. Die Antriebsver­bindung kann über Ketten, Antriebsriemen oder derglei­chen in Verbindung mit den Wickelköpfen 1, 2 separat zugeordneten Kupplungen 11, 12 erfolgen.
