Abstract

The method is used for the production of a web of interconnected bags from a half-tube web consisting of a material which is capable of being adhesively bonded and/or sealed. In the region of the first of the two longitudinal outer edges running in the direction of feeding of the half-tube web, firstly at least one continuous strip is fitted in each case on the top side and on the underside of the half-tube web in pockets which are continuously integrally formed on the web during its feeding, before the separation of the bags, and the two parts of the half-tube web lie loosely one on top of the other in the region of the second longitudinal outer edge which is parallel to the first. Then, the strips are cut to length and their ends are interconnected and the half-tube web is sealed in a cyclical manner transversely, preferably perpendicularly with respect to the feeding direction to form in each case one bag, which is transported transversely, preferably at right angles to the feeding direction and all of these bags are interconnected. In this arrangement, either the pocket of the top side or that of the underside of the half-tube web protrudes beyond the respective other pocket, transversely with respect to the feeding direction, to form the first longitudinal outer edge. Every bag, which is sealed transversely with respect to the feeding direction and is transported in a direction which likewise runs transversely with respect to said feeding direction, is transported by one bag length. Then, the half-tube web is further transported by a bag width and with its first longitudinal outer edge overlaps, in an overlapping region, the second longitudinal outer edge of the bag which is transported transversely with respect to the feeding direction. Finally, the overlapping region is sealed by means of a sealed seam to connect two bags lying one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the bags.

Description

The invention relates to a method for producing a web of contiguous bags according to the preamble of the main claim.

Such a method is known. Here, all of the individual bags are fixed at a distance from each other on a separate belt to ensure the automatic feeding and filling of the individual bags.

A disadvantage of this known method is, on the one hand, the troublesome waste in the form of the strip which arises during further processing, and on the other hand the fact that the known method is slow.

The invention has for its object to develop a generic method faster so that no additional disruptive waste.

This object is achieved in a generic method according to the preamble of the main claim according to the invention by its characterizing features.

With the method according to the invention it is thus possible to produce a continuous web in the longitudinal direction of the bag from individual bags which are connected to one another in the overlap region. This, for example, wound web of bags is drawn off in bags and the removed bag is sealed in the area of the overlap area. Here, the sealed bag is reduced to practically the same size as the other bag and at the same time closed again at its top edge when sealing. Then the bag can either be filled from the already open side in the area of the second longitudinal outer edge, or the bag can be opened by cutting in the area of this second longitudinal outer edge and then filled. After filling, the bag can be closed by sealing parallel to the second longitudinal outer edge to form a fin base, if necessary with prior folding.

In a very preferred embodiment, bags are produced using this known method, the ends of which are connected to one another in the pockets, not by means of a knot, but in another way, for example by extrusion coating using a plastic drop.

Further expedient refinements and developments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

The basic procedure is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. In this shows:
  • Figure 1 shows the production of a semi-tubular web, in a perspective view;
  • Figure 2 shows the semi-tubular web of Figure 1 with attached tapes and punched parts, in a broken view;
  • Figure 3 shows the process step of severing the tapes, in a partially broken schematic perspective view;
  • Figure 4 connecting adjacent ends of the adjacent tapes;
  • Figure 5 is a top view of the web of contiguous bags;
  • 6 shows a section VI-VI according to FIG. 5.

In FIG. 1, a deflection roller, generally designated 5, is provided, around which, in the advancing direction 6, the half-tube web, generally designated 7 is led around. This is provided on the first longitudinal outer edge 8 with an inward fold 9 to form an inner edge 21. The other of the two second longitudinal outer edge 10 running parallel to the first runs at the open part of the semi-tubular web 7. The fold 9 is attached in such a way that the upper side 14 of the semi-tubular web lies further inside than the underside 15, the edge of which forms the actual longitudinal outer edge 8. Likewise, on the other longitudinal outer edge, the underside 15 protrudes from the upper side 14 and in turn forms the second longitudinal outer edge 10.

In a first work station, parts 12 of the semi-tubular web 7 are punched out in a semicircle at a distance of a bag width 11 (FIG. 2) together with separate rectangular punched-outs 13 in between, so that the first longitudinal outer edge is interrupted.

After this first operation, which is not shown separately in the drawing, in the region of the first longitudinal outer edge 8 of the semi-tubular web 7, pockets 16 (FIG. 3) are formed on the upper side 14 and the underside 15 formed as a result of the fold 9, with a continuous band 17 inserted therein. so that the semi-tubular web 7 shown in FIG. 2 results, the lower pocket 16 of which projects beyond the pocket of the upper side 14 (FIG. 3). In a subsequent operation, the strips 17 are cut off in the area of the punched-out parts 12. The two separated adjacent ends 18, 19 of the upper side 14 and the lower side 15 of the semi-tubular web 7 are then connected to one another without knots by spraying on a plastic drop 20.

As shown in FIG. 5, the semi-tubular web 7 is separated at the end by means of separating sealing seams 22 running transversely to the feed direction 6, forming an isolated pouch 23.

This is then transported transversely by a bag length, preferably at right angles in the bag longitudinal direction 24, and placed there as a bag 25 and held in this position. Then the semi-tubular web 7 is again transported in the feed direction 6 by the width 11, so that the pocket 16 of the underside 15 of the one bag 23 comes to lie on the underside 15 of the bag 25 transversely transported in the direction 24 with an overlap region 26. A sealing seam 27 is then applied in this overlap area. The web is then again transported from the bags 23 and 25 in the direction 24 transversely to the feed direction 6 by one bag length and the process steps start again.
