Claims (9)

1. Device for connecting a truss principal rafter to a post for producing frameworks and structures, consisting of two moulded parts (1 and 2), one (1) being arranged in a stationary manner partially inside the upper end of the post (4), characterised in that the other part (2) is arranged entirely inside the lower end of the principal rafter (3) and in that the two parts (1 and 2) interact to bring about the connection and fixing of the principal rafter (3) to the post (4) by double interlocking (7, 5 and 8, 6), the distance separating the two interlocking means (7, 5 and 8, 6) being greater than the cross section of the post (4) to ensure perfect stability of the assembly and optimum rigidity and strength of each connection.

Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the moulded part (1) comprises two recesses (5 and 6) and the moulded part (2) two lugs (7 and 8), the connection of the principal rafter (3) to the post (4) being effected exclusively by interlocking of the two lugs (7 and 8) in the two recesses (5 and 6).

Device according to any one of claims 1 and 2, characterised in that each moulded part (1 or 2) comprises different bosses (9) allowing the moulded parts (1 and 2) to be held in the principal rafter (3) or the post (4), the length of these bosses (9) corresponding substantially to the internal cross section of the principal rafter (3) or of the post (4) and the bosses (9) acting as a support for the fixing assembly, for example screw (10) ― nut (11), the screw (10) traversing the boss (9) through an orifice (20), these bosses (9) also being interconnected by a web (14) located in the plane perpendicular to the central axes of the bosses (9} and passing through the axis of symmetry (A) of each moulded part (1 or 2) and by ribs (19) located, for example, in the plane passing through the central axes of the bosses (9).

Device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the moulded part (1) is provided, at one of its ends, with a stirrup (12) allowing the possible fixing of an extension (13) to the principal rafter (3) by any known means such as screw (10) ― bolt (11) assemblies, each screw (10) thus being supported by a boss (9) located on the stirrup (12).
5. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that it is also provided with an automatic safety locking device (15).
6. Device according to claim 5, characterised in that the locking device (15) is in the form of a lug (16) mounted on a spring (17) located on the moulded part (1) and co-operating with a recess (18) located on the moulded part (2).
7. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the moulded part (1) is also provided with a boss (9′) of which the central axis is parallel to the other bosses (9) and allows the passage of crossbracing cables.
8. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the moulded parts (1 and 2) are of light alloy.
9. Device according to claim 8, characterised in that the moulded parts (1 and 2) are advantageously of aluminium.
