Description

The invention relates to a weapon and ammunition carrier for barrel weapons according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a weapon and ammunition carrier is known from DE-AS 23 49 185, in which a magazine for cartridge ammunition is arranged on both sides of the barrel weapon. For each magazine there is a charging cradle that can be swiveled from a takeover position behind the respective magazine into a position in alignment with the tube axis. However, this is not suitable for achieving a fully automatic charge flow with ammunition separated into projectiles and propellant charges.

In addition, it is known from DE-OS 30 46 642 to arrange two magazines in a tank tower behind the barrel weapon, the cartridge ammunition being taken up longitudinally or transversely to the barrel axis by the magazines and by means of swiveling charging trays in front of the magazines in a position suitable for attachment brought. A piecer is placed between the two magazines. This arrangement is also not suitable for separate ammunition.

Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, einen Waffen- und Munitionsträger nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 derart auszubilden, daß ein vollautomatischer Ladefluß getrennter Munition mit hoher Kadenz gewährleistet wirdThe object of the invention is to design a weapon and ammunition carrier according to the preamble of claim 1 in such a way that a fully automatic loading flow of separate ammunition with high cadence is ensured

This object is achieved in accordance with the characterizing part of claim 1.

The weapon and ammunition carrier is particularly suitable for large-caliber guns, such as 155 mm howitzers, and enables the rapid transport of the projectile and propellant charge to the position of use. The barrel weapon and magazine are rigidly arranged with respect to one another via a housing, the barrel having a relatively long return path, at the end of which it is caught and held for attachment to a projectile, while the propellant charge is made available via a propellant charge charging shell. The entire weapon and ammunition carrier can be adjusted in height about a common axis of rotation.

Rheinmetall GmbH, 6. Auflage 1983, S. 343 ff. bekannt. With respect to the propellant charge cradle used here, it should be pointed out that charging cradles with parallelogram linkage are known per se, for example from US Pat. No. 4,388,854 "Weapon technical paperback" by Rheinmetall GmbH, 6th edition 1983, p. 343 ff.

Further embodiments of the invention can be found in the following description and the subclaims.

The invention is explained below with reference to the embodiment shown in the accompanying figures.
  • Fig. 1 shows schematically a weapon and ammunition carrier for a barrel weapon partially in longitudinal section.
  • FIG. 2 shows a top view of the weapon and ammunition carrier from FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 3 shows a detail of the weapon and ammunition holder of FIG. 1.

The weapon and ammunition carrier according to the exemplary embodiment shown comprises a housing 1, which is hammer-shaped or T-shaped in plan view and seen from the side, and which is pivotable about a vertical axis 2. The optionally armored housing 1 receives a barrel weapon 3, which comprises a barrel 4 protruding from the housing 1 and a base piece 5 in the housing 1 with a breech. The housing 1 has slide bearings 6 for the tube 4 in the front area, so that the tube weapon 3 is accommodated by the housing 1 in an axially displaceable manner between a front firing position and a rear return position. The leveling of the barrel weapon 3 takes place via the housing 1, which is arranged for side alignment on a rotatable base frame. At least one ammunition hatch 7 is located on the rear of the housing 1.

A magazine 8 is arranged in the leg of the housing 1 extending transversely to the tube axis, so that the magazine 8 and the tube weapon 3 are rigidly connected to one another via the housing 1. The magazine 8 receives storeys 9 in one level and propellant charges 10 approximately in a module form in a level below it, separated from the storeys 9. The projectile 9 sition of the magazine 8 is in a position coaxial to the tube 4. The magazine 8 is, for example, a cross-band magazine known per se, with which the supply of different ammunition is mutually possible. On the back of the housing 1 there is a projectile ejector 11 coaxial with the tube 4, which also serves as a piecing device for the middle projectile 9, which is loaded directly from the magazine 8 in the return position of the tube weapon 3. The magazine 8 thus also serves as a charging cradle for the projectile 9, the projectile ejector 11 being able to be moved in a manner known per se via a drive in the direction of the tube axis, while the drive is reached by reaching the Rücklaufpo sition by the barrel weapon 3 can be set in motion via a corresponding switch.

In the return position of the gun 3, a catching and holding device 12 for the gun 3 is provided. In the embodiment of FIG. 3, this consists of several, for example three, circumferentially distributed stop blocks 13, which are firmly connected to the housing 1. On the side facing the base piece 5, the stop block 13 can have a buffer 14 made of hard rubber, for example, or a cylinder body which is guided in the stop block 13 and cushioned relative to it. The stop block 13 receives an angle lever 16 which can be rotated about an axis of rotation 15 and has a locking lug 17 which projects radially out of the stop block 13 into the path of the base piece 5. The angle lever 16 is biased towards the tube axis by means of a spring 18 and on its leg which is not spring-loaded, a plunger 19 which is coaxial with the tube axis and is spring-loaded to the rear engages and can be displaced forwards against the spring preload via a piston 20. When the gun 3 is fired or pushed into the return position after triggering a shot or for the first shot, the rear edge of the base piece 5 first presses the bell crank 16 outward against the force of the springs 18, after which the locking lugs 17 continue to return the barrel weapon 3 fall into corresponding recesses in the base piece 5. The elastic buffers 14, which dampen the impact of the barrel weapon 3, then press the base piece 5 against the locking lugs 17, so that the barrel weapon 3 is held in a predetermined axial position. The piston 20 can be pressurized by means of a corresponding switching element at the end of the return stroke of the projectile ejector 11 after the ejection and attachment process for loading the barrel weapon 3, so that the plunger 19 is pressed forward and the barrel weapon 3 is thereby released.

In addition, below the projectile ejector 11, a propellant charge ejector 21 is provided which, like the projectile ejector 11, can be actuated separately from or together with and possibly synchronously with it and serves to eject propellant charge modules 10 onto a propellant charge cradle 22 from the magazine 8.

The propellant charge shell 22, which comprises a trough for receiving propellant charge modules 10 and a slide device which can be actuated by a corresponding drive, for inserting the propellant charges 10 located on the propellant charge shell 22 into the barrel weapon 3, is in its starting position below the barrel axis 3 the height of the magazine level for the propellant charges 10 and is pivotable via a parallelogram suspension 23 such that it aligns the propellant charges 10 to the barrel axis in the firing position of the barrel weapon 3.

After loading the barrel weapon 3 with a projectile 9 in the rear return position of the barrel weapon 3, it is moved forward into the firing position. This is triggered by a switching element 25 fixed to the housing, which is actuated by the projectile ejector 11 in its end position. A particularly hydraulic tube recoiler 26, which acts like a tube brake on the base piece 5 via tube holder (not shown), moves the tube weapon 3 forward into the firing position, especially as this is released by the catching and holding device 12 at the end of the projectile loading process. During the pre-fetching, the propellant charge cradle 22 is carried along by a hydraulically operated entraining device 27, i.e. raised and pivoted into the loading position for the propellant charge modules 10. During the further advance, the propellant charge modules 10 are loaded and then shortly before the end of the advance the wedge lock is automatically locked. Immediately thereafter, the propellant charge cradle 22 swings back into its starting position.

After the firing of the shot, the tube 4 runs back and is held in the rearward return position by the catching and holding device 12 for the time of the ejection of a projectile 9 from the magazine 9 and attachment thereof, until the projectile ejector 11 performs the pre-fetching of the tube 4 causes the tube catcher 26, which in turn leads to the loading of the propellant charges 10, which are either carried out after reaching the starting position by the propellant charge shell 22 or at the same time as the projectile is ejected from the magazine 8 onto the propellant charge shell 22, and to the closing of the wedge lock.

The tube 4 has a relatively long return path of, for example, 1.2 m. The projectiles 9 are not tilted in any way during the entire loading flow, the angular position of the projectiles 9 is not changed relative to the tube 4 until it is fired. A fully automatic loading flow of separated ammunition with high cadence is guaranteed.
