Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a switch actuating device with a sliding clamp which can be displaced by a push rod, the switch tongue or the like of which. facing end has a joint head, with which the switch tongue is pivotally connected, and the other end has a locking clip head, which cooperates with a locking piece, wherein a shoulder of the locking clip head rests in the closed position on a shoulder of the locking piece and wherein the switch tongue rail on the joint head of the locking clip over a pin arranged in an elongated hole extending in the longitudinal direction of the tongue rail is articulated. Particularly in extreme temperature conditions, there is a longitudinal expansion of the switch tongue, which, if the switch tongue is rigidly articulated to the joint head, can lead to jamming of the slide rod and the locking chamber in the locking piece. Characterized in that the pin, via which the switch tongue is articulated on the joint head, engages in an elongated hole on the switch tongue extending in the longitudinal direction of the switch tongue, such longitudinal stretches of the switch tongue are absorbed and rendered harmless. Such an arrangement has become known from AT-PS 250 433. Here the pin engages in an elongated hole in the rail foot of the tongue rail. However, this has the disadvantage that the tongue rail is weakened by this elongated hole, which creates a risk of breakage. An arrangement has become known from AT-PS 382 128, in which the closure piece is connected to the stock rail so as to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the rail in order to accommodate longitudinal expansion of the tongue rail. In this arrangement, the joint head of the locking clip is rigidly articulated on the tongue rail, so that weakening of the tongue rail by elongated holes arranged in the rail foot is avoided. The bearing of the pin for the articulation of the joint head is connected to the closure piece via a linkage and through the lengthening of the switch tongue is therefore shifted the closure piece on the stock rail, so that the relative position of the closure piece to the point of articulation of the tongue rail on the joint head remains unchanged. Here, sliding surfaces must be provided for the closure piece and if these sliding surfaces are not continuously maintained, rubbing these sliding surfaces is possible and jamming can occur again. Such training is relatively complicated and expensive and does not offer full security against jamming, since the closure piece must be taken along when the tongue rail is elongated and jamming can occur even when it is taken along by the linkage. In contrast, in the embodiment in which the tongue rail is articulated to the joint head of the locking clip via an elongated hole, longitudinal expansions of the tongue rail are compensated for directly where they arise.
The object of the invention is to simplify the construction in an arrangement described above, to eliminate the risk of breakage of the tongue rail and to enable a more precise articulation and guidance of the locking clip. To achieve this object, the invention consists essentially in that the elongated hole or the like in a with the switch tongue rail. rigidly connected, in particular screwed, connector is arranged. Characterized in that the elongated hole is provided in a connector, a weakening of the rail foot of the switch tongue rail or the like is. avoided. If this connecting piece is screwed to the switch tongue rail, the screw holes do not represent a dangerous weakening. By avoiding the rail being weakened by an elongated hole, this switch actuating device can be used both as a first closure for the rail tongue and as a second or third closure. for example for the wing rails. Such a connector can be machined more precisely be than the rail foot and therefore the articulation of the connector to the joint head can be done more precisely. The connecting piece expediently has a plane-parallel plate in which the elongated hole is arranged, the joint head preferably encompassing the plate on both sides. Such a plane-parallel plate can be machined so precisely that easy movement is ensured with little play between the contact surfaces of the joint head and plate.
The arrangement is expediently such that the plane-parallel plate having the elongated hole lies approximately in the plane of the foot of the tongue rail. The arrangement is preferably such that the joint head in the region of its articulation point on the connecting piece has a bracket encompassing the slide rod. The arrangement of such a bracket is facilitated in that the elongated hole is arranged in a connecting piece which protrudes laterally from the foot of the tongue rail and therefore creates enough space for the bracket. As a result, the locking clip is slidably connected to the slide rod. The bracket is expediently formed by a hook-shaped rod welded to the joint head. According to an advantageous embodiment, the joint head has a bracket on both sides. This has the advantage that the same locking clip can be used on the right and left.
According to the invention, the pin, by means of which the tongue rail is articulated on the joint head, can be mounted off-center in a sliding block, preferably square, guided in the elongated hole. By turning the sliding block, the distance between the pivot pin of the joint head and the tongue rail can be adjusted. If this sliding block is square in plan view, there are four adjustment positions and adjustment can therefore be carried out in smaller steps. Because the elongated hole is arranged in a separate connecting piece, which can be machined more precisely than the rail base itself, such fine adjustment stages of the adjustment can be effectively used by means of the square sliding block. If the elongated hole is arranged in a part that has not been precisely machined, such as in the rail foot, the sensitivity of the adjustment is not achieved.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the connector is screwed to the web of the tongue rail. This has the advantage that the screw holes in the web of the tongue rail hardly cause a weakening of the tongue rail and there is also the advantage that the distance between the pivot pin of the joint head can be adjusted by simply inserting spacer plates between the web of the tongue rail and the connecting piece . Hiebei the design according to the invention is expediently made such that the connecting piece is formed by two plates approximately at right angles to one another, which are welded to side walls at their ends, one plate having the elongated hole between the side walls and the other plate having holes for the connector with the web of the tongue rail connecting screws. In this way, a stable and rigid connecting piece is created and precise guidance of the pivot pin of the joint head in the elongated hole is ensured.
But it can also be connected to the foot of the tongue rail according to the invention, wherein it overlaps the foot and extends approximately in the plane of the foot.
The closure piece can be screwed onto the outside of the web of the stock rail. In this way, the closure piece is rigidly fixed in its position, the pin of the joint head being freely displaced in the elongated hole and can always remain in the same position relative to the closure piece. Appropriately, according to the invention, the arrangement is such that the closure piece lies below the rail foot of the stock rail and forms a one-piece component with a flange screwed to the web of the stock rail, which engages around the foot of the stock rail.
The switch operating device according to the invention can be used for switch tongues or tongue rails. Since it is also essential for the tongue rail that the rail foot is not weakened by an elongated hole. Likewise, the switch adjustment device according to the invention can also be used with movable centerpiece tips.
