Definitions

  • the invention relates to a badge attached to the edge of flat objects, e.g. can be attached to clothing.
  • a badge according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from GB-A-2 066 890.
  • ID cards and identity cards A special application is the insertion of ID cards and identity cards: With authorities, larger companies, etc., it is often necessary that ID cards are visibly worn on clothing for personal checks. Also at trade fairs, exhibitions, congresses, conferences, etc., it is usually common to wear identity cards, on the one hand to control access authorization and on the other hand to facilitate communication, e.g. the name of the interlocutor is then already known or, for example, an assignment to a specific company is possible.
  • the usefulness of a badge is increased by the fact that the information carrier always lies or hangs at any angle to the horizontal, regardless of the direction of the hitching, so that the writing is perfectly legible, usually hanging horizontally.
  • a simple method for attaching cards is to attach them with needles or the like (eg DBGM 8622508).
  • the object for example the item of clothing, can be damaged or even result in a risk of injury if the pin on the clothing is worn by people.
  • a clothespin bracket is usually quite large or does not have enough clamping force in the miniature version.
  • a multi-piece clamp always increases production and assembly costs and can be damaged more easily than a one-piece because of the more complicated mechanics.
  • a clip is disclosed in US Pat. No. 4,338,737, a plug-in card being pushed onto a fastening mandrel of a plug-in element. Due to the shape and the low clamping force, such attachment elements are suitable for attachment to predominantly horizontal edges. Furthermore, the plug-in card is not protected against unintentional twisting or loosening from the mandrel.
  • GB-A-2 066 890 shows a spring clip to which the card is also attached only by sliding it over a dorm, so that the card can easily twist or loosen unintentionally.
  • the bracket can be in be advantageously formed in one piece.
  • This pin can be manufactured cheaply since there are no assembly costs and, depending on the choice of material and dimensions, can be used for practically all applications.
  • the clip is also fastened to the card holder part with a swivel joint, so that the card-shaped substrate can be rotated into a position such that a quick and safe readability is ensured, regardless of the direction in which the clip is attached.
  • This swivel joint is provided with a latching device so that the inserted and aligned card cannot be accidentally rotated so quickly.
  • a toothing on both clamp arms is expedient, which engages correspondingly deeply in the unloaded state of the clamp, so that the thin object is somewhat deformed by the toothing and thus increased friction arises.
  • the card holder part can consist of a transparent cover into which the substrate is inserted or inserted.
  • a push-button-like attachment is also conceivable, e.g. a corresponding, elongated, somewhat thickened part is inserted through a punch on the card and thus snaps the card.
  • a hook-shaped design of the card holder part is also possible.
  • the substrate is hung on the hook by means of a corresponding punch.
  • the card holder part consists of two interconnected legs, wherein at least one of these legs is dimensioned so that it can be looped through a corresponding punch on the card.
  • the two legs can be rigidly parallel from the start, or can be opened due to the elasticity of the material. However, they are preferably connected to one another like a hinge and can be fixed in the parallel state by means of a locking device.
  • the front leg can also be flat in order to achieve a more pleasing appearance or to create an advertising space.
  • the card holder part consists of a flat leg with a hook-shaped extension into which the card is hung by means of its corresponding punching. So that the card cannot come loose by itself, the clamp arm resting on the end face of the hook is designed in such a way that the hook remains closed in every rotational position of the clamp. Corresponding all-round curves on the edges ensure that the card is securely inserted into the gap formed in this way. This is made even easier if a flat extension is attached to the end face of the hook and is looped through the punching of the card. If the card is now pushed further, the card is automatically guided into the gap between the clip and the card holder part and snapped onto the hook.
  • the clip can be formed from metal, in particular spring steel, and possibly also have a pretension.
  • the swivel joint can be designed as a push button, rivet or the like.
  • a particularly cost-effective production results if the parts are made of plastic, in particular using the plastic injection molding process.
  • the swivel joint between the clip and the card holder part can also expediently also be formed by a plastic snap connection, which possibly also closes the two legs at the same time.
  • the badge 1 is, for example, made entirely of plastic (injection molding) and consists of the one-piece clamp 2 and the card holder 3.
  • the card holder 3 is in turn formed from the two legs 5, which are connected to a plastic film hinge 6.
  • the leg 5, which comes to lie to the rear, is looped through the punch 7 of the card 8 and folded together with the second leg 5, which can therefore be round in shape and carries the male part of a plastic snap connection.
  • the leg 5 On its front side, the leg 5 can have a specific design or advertising (designed in relief or printed).
  • the rear leg 5 has such a large opening 10 that the locking button 11 can be pushed through. So that the card between the legs is better fixed, a web 12 is attached to one of the legs, which acts as a lock.
  • the somewhat thicker configuration 13 of the front leg 5 around the male part 9 ensures, on the one hand, the parallelism of the two legs 5, but on the other hand, above all, the secure and play-free fit of the locking button 11 in the die 14, which is attached to the front leg 15 of the clamp 2 is. With this resulting hinge, the bracket 2 can be rotated against the card holder 3.
  • a locking device 16, 17 protects against unintentional adjustment.
  • the snap connection Since during assembly, depending on the dimensions, the snap connection must be firmly pressed together, extensions 18 are attached to the front leg 15 to prevent damage to the clip 2, by means of which pressure can be exerted on the snap connection. Furthermore, the clip 2, which is not biased due to the production, has a deeply interlocking toothing 19 so that a sufficiently large holding force is achieved even when there is only a slight spreading of the clip legs 15, 20 when attached to thinner material.
  • an extension 21 is formed on the rear leg 20, via which the edge 22 of an object (e.g. jacket revers) 23 is threaded between the legs 15, 20.
  • an object e.g. jacket revers
  • the card holder 3 consists of a leg 5 with a hook-shaped extension 24. Since the leg 5 is round in shape and its front side in front of the card 8 is completely visible in use, the badge has a pleasing appearance; in addition, this surface can be individually designed by the user, for example by means of a raised structure which is already formed during injection molding, or by printing, pasting with labels, etc.
  • the connection to the clamp 2 creates a KST snap connection, the male part 9 on the leg 5 of the card holder 3 is arranged. The male 9 snaps into the corresponding female 14 on the front leg 15 of the clamp 2. The clip 2 can thus be rotated against the card holder 3.
  • a locking device which consists of the locking lug 16a on the card holder 3 and a circumferential locking ring 17a on the front bracket arm 15.
  • the front bracket arm 15 is also designed so that, in any rotational position, both the catch 16a and the hook-shaped extension 24 are covered to prevent the card 8 from falling out to prevent.
  • the webs 25, 26 and also 27, which additionally locks the card 8 at its upper edge, are used for perfect storage.
  • a tab 28 is formed on the hook-shaped extension 24, onto which the card 8a with its punched hole 7 is threaded and pushed upwards. The card slips into the gap between the card holder 3 and the clip 2 provided with an outward curve 29 and snaps onto the hook 24.
  • the clip 2 which may not be biased due to the manufacturing process, has a deeply interlocking toothing, possibly in the form of an opening 30 in the rear clip leg 20, so that a sufficiently large holding force is achieved even if only a slight spread of the is attached to thinner material Bracket legs 15.20.
  • an extension 31 is formed on the rear leg 20, by means of which the edge 22 of an object (e.g. lapel) 23 is threaded between the legs 15, 20.
  • an object e.g. lapel
