Description

La présente invention a pour objet un ensemble selon le préambule de la revendication 1, connu du document US-A-2,053,843.The present invention relates to an assembly according to the preamble of claim 1, known from document US-A-2,053,843.

In order to protect all or part of a facade from bad weather, it is frequent to cover this facade or this part of facade with a covering of tiles.

The facade claddings using tiles which have been produced so far are constituted by rows of tiles hung against the facade and arranged so that the tiles of a row partially cover the tiles of the immediately lower row , as is the case for the tiles constituting the roof coverings. In order to prevent the tiles from lifting in the event of strong winds, the hooking device comprises hook elements which bypass the lower end of the tile and are bent over the visible external face of the tile.

In addition to the unattractive effect of the presence of these hook elements, this type of coating has the drawback of not being waterproof. Indeed, the constraints concerning the upwelling are not ensured in strong winds. In addition, the rainwater runoff on the hook elements leaves traces on the tiles, because when galvanized hooks are used, they rust and when the hooks are made of copper, they cause stains on the tiles.

An assembly comprising facade tiles and their hanging devices making it possible to remedy the drawbacks mentioned above is described in patent US-A-2,053,843. The tiles are arranged parallel to the facade, in line with one another, each tile being fixed at its lower part and at its upper part by means of metal fastening elements fixed horizontally against the facade and arranged so as to constitute a lower rail and an upper rail in which are engaged parts of the tiles projecting downward and upward respectively. This set has the disadvantage that it is not possible to replace a tile located in the middle of the facade without removing all the rows of tiles as well as all the metal fastening elements located above the tile to be replaced.

It should also be noted that, according to the description of the method of attachment of the tiles given in this patent, these are joined to the metal fastening elements, which in principle excludes any possibility of removable fixing of the tiles. on these items.

An assembly comprising shingles and fixing crosspieces consisting of a horizontal profile having a groove making it possible to wedge the upper part of each shingle, this profile being itself fixed on the facade to be covered, is described in the French patent application. No. 2.562.588. Although the method of attachment described in this document allows the shingles to be dismantled, it does not offer the possibility of replacing one of them without prior disassembly of all the shingles placed above it in the same vertical column.

Another type of facade cladding, in which flat asbestos-cement plates are arranged parallel to the facade in line with one another, is described in patent FR-A-1,065,125. The plate fixing device allows the replacement of any plate without the complete disassembly of the facade. On the other hand, the fixing elements protrude outside the facade.

The object of the present invention is to provide a set of facade tiles and their attachment devices for producing a facade covering in which the tiles are arranged parallel to the facade, in line with one another, do not having none of the drawbacks mentioned above and making it possible to produce facade claddings of beautiful aesthetics, easy to install and economical.

To this end, the invention relates to a set comprising facade tiles and their attachment devices, for producing a facade covering in which the tiles are arranged parallel to the facade, in line with one another, as defined in claim 1.

Embodiments of the assembly of the invention are defined in the dependent claims.

The assembly shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 comprises tiles 3 and hooking elements 2 intended to be fixed on a facade 1. As can be seen in detail in FIGS. 2 and 3, the hooking elements 2 are constituted by rectilinear metal profiles made from an aluminum sheet, folded so as to constitute a first part 4 in the form of a box, of rectangular cross section, open on the lower half 5 of one of its long sides, the corresponding sheet metal pan having been folded outwards, so as to constitute a second part 6 of U-shaped cross section, one of the branches 7 of which also constitutes the half long side of the box 4. The outer branch 8 of the U-shaped part is of greater height than the branch 7. The hooking elements 2 can be fixed horizontally on the facade, for example using screws 9. The tiles 3 are generally rectangular laire. They include a part upper 10 prominent finger-shaped directed towards the rear of the tile and folded up. The dimensions of the folded part of the finger-shaped element 10 are substantially smaller than the dimensions of the box-shaped element 4 constituting the hooking element, so that said folded part of the element in the form of finger 10 can be inserted into said box-shaped element 4, and can be moved by vertical translation inside said box-shaped element 4. In particular, the internal height of the box-shaped element 4 is greater at the height of the folded part of the finger-shaped element so that said part can be moved by vertical translation inside said box-shaped element 4. The tiles also have at their bottom a prominent part 12 horizontally projecting towards the rear of the tile and pierced with two vertical holes 13 into which are introduced key elements 14 consisting of a first part 15 in spikes, arranged so as to prevent the key element from coming out of the hole, a second part 16 of diameter greater than the diameter of the hole 13, having a blocking function, and a third part 17 which makes projection under the protruding part 12 of the tile when the key element is in place.

The hooking elements will preferably be arranged according to a vertical spacing chosen so that the distance between the lower edge 18 of the box-shaped part 4 of a first hooking element and the upper end 19 of the outer branch 8 of the U-shaped part of the fastening element fixed below the first is substantially greater than the distance between the lower face 11 of the finger-shaped element 10 and the lower face 20 of the protruding part 12 of the tile.

The placement of tiles on the hanging elements is very simple. The finger-shaped element 10 of the tile is first introduced into the box-shaped element 4 of the hooking element and positioned upwards of said box. The tile is then oriented parallel to the facade and it is made to translate downwards until the lower part of the finger element 10 rests on the lower part of the box-shaped element 4 of the hooking element. The projecting part 17 of the key element is then positioned behind the outer branch 8 of the U-shaped part of the immediately lower hooking element and prevents any lateral movement of the tile and therefore any lifting of the tile in high winds. To remove the tiles, we proceed in the opposite way.

This attachment method also has the advantage of having no horizontal gap between the tiles. The coating therefore has a good seal, which prevents any rise of water.

Another example of an assembly according to the invention is shown in FIGS. 4 to 6. As can be seen in detail in FIGS. 5 and 6, the hooking elements 2ʹ are also constituted by rectilinear metal profiles comprising a first part in the form of a box 4ʹ and a second part 6ʹ in the shape of a U. The characteristics of the box-shaped part 4ʹ are similar to those of the box-shaped part 4 of the fastening element shown in FIG. 2. The U-shaped part 6ʹ is wider than the U-shaped part 6 in FIG. 2. The outer branch 8ʹ of said U-shaped part has a height less than that of its second branch 7ʹ. The tiles 3 tu of this set have a prominent upper portion 10ʹ in the shape of a finger having characteristics similar to those of the protruding finger-shaped upper part 10 of the tiles 3 shown in FIGS. 1 to 3. The 3ʹ tiles shown in FIGS. 4 to 6 have at their lower end a vertical slot 21 dividing the lower part of the tile in a front part 22 and in a rear part 23. The width of the rear part 23 is chosen to be of dimension substantially less than the internal width of the U-shaped part 6ʹ of the fastening element. The lower attachment of the 3ʹ tiles is achieved by the nesting of this rear part 23 in the 6ʹ U-shaped part of the attachment element.

This second embodiment of the invention has qualities of efficiency entirely comparable to those of the example shown in FIGS. 1 to 3.

On a représenté sur les figures 7 et 8 des formes d'exécution des éléments d'accrochage selon lesquelles la partie de l'élément d'accrochage destinée à la retenue latérale de la partie inférieure de la tuile sert aussi de support vertical à la tuile.FIGS. 7 and 8 show embodiments of the hooking elements according to which the part of the hooking element intended for lateral retention of the lower part of the tile also serves as a vertical support for the tile. .

The hooking element 200 shown in FIG. 7 is constituted by a rectilinear metal profile folded so as to constitute a first part in the form of a square comprising a vertical branch 201 directed downwards and a horizontal branch 202, said part in square shape constituting the receiving housing 40 of the protruding part 100 in the form of a hook of the tile, the branch 202 being contiguous to a vertical branch 203, intended for fixing the hooking element on the wall. The attachment element further comprises a second part constituted by a branch 204, horizontal or slightly inclined upwards, and a vertical branch 205 constituting a means of lateral retainer intended to prevent the lifting of the tile 30 and also serving for the vertical support of said tile 30.

The hooking element 200ʹ represented in FIG. 8 also includes a first square-shaped part comprising a horizontal branch 206 and a vertical branch 207 directed downwards, so as to constitute a housing 40ʹ for receiving the prominent part 100ʹ of the tile and a second part 208 forming a U with the branch 207 and constituting a lateral retaining element intended to prevent the lifting of the tile 30ʹ, and also serving for the vertical support of said tile 30ʹ. The vertical branch 205 of the attachment element intended for its attachment to the facade has been shown facing upwards. The attachment element could also be produced with the branch 208 folded down.

The tiles shown in FIGS. 7 and 8 have key elements 14 at their lower part. Of course, the same attachment elements could be combined with tiles, the lower part of which would be produced in the same way as the tiles shown in FIGS. 5 and 6.

The invention is not limited to the embodiments described in the examples above, but is capable of numerous variants, described by the claims.

The hooking elements can be formed by metal profiles folded or made in any other way. They can of course also be produced in any other way making it possible to fix the tiles parallel to the facade and in line with one another, such as for example in the form of hooks fitted with devices clipping or pinching. The attachment elements can also be made of plastic.

The tiles can be for example of square or rectangular shape or of any other shape allowing the realization of a uniform surface.
