Abstract

The overhead cable mountain railway has the cable (1) formed in a continuous loop with turn round pulleys (2,3) at each end of the loop. The cable is guided by groups of pulleys (4) to enable the cable cars to avoid any obstacles. Each cable car is attached to the cable by an arm in the form of an inverted L. The horizontal part of the arm has a clamping device to grip the cable. This horizontal part is so dimensioned that it can extend over the guide pulleys when the direction of curvature of the cable strand (6) is such that the cable lies on the side of the guide pulley (4) opposite to the vertical part of the arm which supports the cable car.

Description

The present invention relates to a circulating ropeway system with deflection of the course of the supporting cable.

The problem is known of laterally deflecting the course of a pulling suspension cable in a cable car system when the deflection guides or rollers are located outside the ring formed by the suspension cable, i.e. if the clamping clamp is aligned with its jaws in such a way that the suspension together with the conveying means faces the support carrying the deflection guides. Due to this difficulty, only a few circulating ropeways have been equipped with a lateral deflection of the suspension cable. Very often, however, there is a need to deflect the course of the train carrying cable in such a way that the funding is brought to a point suitable for the descent or ascent of the user, for example in the vicinity of the station, or to avoid obstacles in the mountains.

The object of the present invention is to remedy this deficiency and to propose a circulating ropeway system which is designed in such a way that the hurdles formed by the supports of the deflection guides are overcome as soon as the train carrying cable with the clamp with its strand inside the guide or the role is running. Another task is to prevent fluctuations in the suspensions in a plane perpendicular to the pull rope. Another object of the present invention is to propose a solution to this problem, which is inexpensive and easy to carry out.

These and other objects of the present invention are achieved by the characterizing part of claim 1.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a roller is provided at the end of the clamp facing away from the jaws and can be rotated on the support as soon as the traction cable slides with the clamp jaws on the deflection guide, the mentioned support being in a position such that fluctuations occur the clamp can be prevented in a plane perpendicular to the traction cable.

The document FR-A-2496029 (hereinafter referred to as D1) discloses a circulating ropeway system with deflection of the train-carrying cable course, consisting of a train-carrying cable stretched between a valley-side and a mountain-side cable pulley, from a multiplicity of with the train-carrying cable over one each Suspension connected by means of a tension clamp conveying means, wherein along the course of the traction cable is provided at least one convenient point with free guides which are intended to laterally deflect the strands of the ring formed by the traction cable, the mentioned clamp having an elongated body which extends vertically and at a distance from the traction cable, the clamp being slidable on a support in such a way that the suspension is held in a desired position with respect to the traction cable.

As can be seen in particular from Figure 1 of document D1, reversing means of the conveying means (34) are required at the valley and at the top station of the circulating cable car system in such a way that the suspensions (36) are always arranged on the outside of the curve to be overcome (Figure 2 of the Document D1). This solution is therefore complex in terms of production and prone to failure in operation. In addition, no precautions have been taken to prevent fluctuations in the suspensions in a plane perpendicular to the pull rope.

an enlarged detail of Figure 2.

As shown in FIG. 1, a schematically shown circulating ropeway installation is provided with a traction cable 1, which is tensioned between a valley-side pulley 2 and a mountain-side pulley 3 and is closed to form a ring. In order to change the direction of the rope 1, rollers 4 are provided outside and inside of each run 5, 6 of the pull rope 1. The cable car system as a whole is not described in detail since it is of a known type.

As far as the deflection rollers 4, their supports and the overcoming of the latter by the traction cable with the conveying means, these are explained in more detail below with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3.

In the figures mentioned, a support 7, which is expediently anchored to the floor (not shown), carries a crossbar 8, which in turn bears brackets 9, 10 at essentially mirror-image locations, to each of which a bracket 11, 12 is attached. In the bracket 11, a rotatable flange roller 14, which is arranged with a vertical axis 13 and which deflects the strand 5 of the traction cable 1 into the interior of the ring formed by it, is received. In the console 12, on the other hand, a deflecting roller 16 is rotatably mounted with a vertical axis of rotation 15, which deflects the strand 6 of the traction cable 1 into the interior of the ring formed by it. On the strands 5, 6 of the pull rope 1 are funding, e.g. Armchairs, not shown, are suspended by means of a suspension 17 fastened to the end section of a clamp 19 in a pivotable manner in the direction of travel in FIG. 18, the other end of the clamp being clamped to the pull cable 1. A large number of these clamps 19 can be tensioned on the mentioned pull rope.

As further shown in FIG. 3, each clamp 19 has a body 20, at one end of which the fixed clamp jaw 21 is formed, while at the other end it carries the suspension 17 of a conveyor means, not shown, in a pivotable manner by means of a bearing 22. At the end section, next to the bearing 22, a roller 25 is also rotatably mounted in 24. The latter is intended to slide on a guide or a support 26 as soon as the pull rope 6 is deflected by the deflection roller 16. In addition, a pull rod 27 is slidably received in the body 20 and is intended, in a known manner, to act on the movable jaw 28 on the pull rope 1 around the pivot point 29 arranged on the fixed jaw 21. For this purpose, the pull rod 27 presses with its frustoconical end portion 30 onto an annular shoulder 31 in the movable jaw 28. This action is due to a spring 23 which is compressed between an inner annular shoulder 33 of the body 20 and a ring 34 which is slidable at the free end the rod 27 and arranged in abutment in a known manner at the end attached to the abutment 35. The components of the clamp 19 are not explained in more detail, since they form the prior art, and the clamps 19 themselves could be of another known type.

It should be noted that the clamp 19 "bridges" the flange roller 16, which is intended to deflect the strand 6 of the pull cable 1 into the interior of the ring formed by it. In order to avoid fluctuations in the suspension 17 in a plane perpendicular to the pull cable 1, which could cause the clamp 19 to impact on the flange roller 16 in the region of the deflection rollers itself, at least one support 26, but here also an upper counter-guide 36, is provided. The support and the counter-guide together form a funnel-shaped invitation at the entrance and at the exit of the deflection area in order to support the axis of the clamp 19 essentially horizontally and thus to allow a "smooth transition" above the roller 16. At least the support 26 can preferably have a tubular shape in cross-section, as can be clearly seen from FIG. 3 in FIG. 26, in order to accumulate snow, e.g. to avoid with a flat guide.

To the above-mentioned pivoting of the suspension 17 in a plane perpendicular to the strand 5 of the traction cable 1 avoid, are also in the area where the strand 5 is deflected outside the ring formed by the pull rope 1, similar guides or supports 26 'and counter guides 36' are provided.

It is clear that the circulating ropeway installation according to the invention can be subject to a large number of changes and variants without leaving the scope of protection of the present application.
