Bei den bisher bekannten Walzenmühlen der im Ober­begriff des Anspruches 1 vorausgesetzten Art sind die Getriebegehäuse der beiden Walzen über je eine Drehmomentenstütze am Maschinenrahmen abgestützt. Bei der erfindungsgemäßen Lösung werden die Dreh­momente fast vollständig zwischen den Getriebege­häusen der beiden Walzen gegeneinander abgestützt. Nur ein eventuelles Restdrehmoment, das aus einer möglichen Differenz beider Drehmomente resultiert, wird durch eine einfache Drehmomentstütze am Maschinenrahmen abgestützt.
