Description

The invention relates to a punch hole punch with a die for punching lower part and a pivotally mounted on cheek of the lower part, by means of a pressure member acting on the punch in axial guides of the lower part against the restoring force of coil springs pressure plate.

In letter punches of this type, convexly curved pressure members are arranged either on the underside of the pressure plate designed as a one-armed lever, which abut against the flat or convexly curved end face of the punch. The contact between the pressure members and the punch is therefore point or line-shaped, so that relatively high surface pressures occur. When the pressure plate is pressed down, there are therefore large frictional forces between the pressure element and the punch, which exert a tilting moment on the punch, which in turn causes sliding friction of the punch in its axial guides which affects the operation of the punch hole.

Proceeding from this, the object of the invention is to improve the letter punch of the type specified at the outset in such a way that the occurrence of the frictional forces aggravating the actuation of the letter punch is avoided.

To achieve this object, the features specified in claim 1 are proposed. Further advantageous refinements and developments of the inventive concept result from the subclaims.

The invention is based on the idea that the pressure plate should not act directly, but indirectly via a pressure element which can be pivoted with respect to the pressure plate and the punch, in order to avoid the undesirable transverse friction forces when actuating the punch. Accordingly It is proposed according to the invention that the pressure member is formed by a pressure rail aligned parallel to the pivot axis of the pressure plate, with its upper edge resting against the pressure plate and pivotable there, on the lower edge of which two downward-facing, engaging in cup-like depressions of the punch heads and engaging with its tip pivotally supporting pressure pins are arranged against the bottom. If the punches are guided in an axial guide of the lower part in the area of their head, no bending moments are exerted on the punches when the punch is actuated, so that the sliding friction in the axial guides caused by the punch actuation is negligible. Advantageously, the punch heads attached to the punch form a thickening which has an annular shoulder which serves as an abutment for the helical spring.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, an elevation serving as an attachment to the upper edge of the pressure rail is provided on the underside of the pressure plate on at least one longitudinal side of the pressure rail. Instead of the one-sided elevation, a groove can also be provided in the pressure plate, into which the pressure rail engages with its upper edge.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the pressure rail is articulated with play in the region of its upper edge on side cheeks of the pressure plate. For this purpose, the pressure rail can also protrude in the area of its upper edge in the recesses in the side cheeks of the pressure plate Have play engaging pins, the pins preferably rest with their lower edge against the lower recess edge. These measures ensure that the pressure rail is always retracted into its initial position together with the pressure plate and cannot fall out if one of the punches should get caught, for example, in a thick, solid stack of paper despite the action of the return spring.

  • Fig. 1 einen senkrechten Längsschnitt durch einen Brieflocher in der Ebene eines Lochstempels;
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the exemplary embodiment shown schematically in the drawing. Show it
  • 1 shows a vertical longitudinal section through a letter punch in the plane of a punch.
  • Fig. 2 shows a vertical cross section through the letter punch, in the plane connecting the punch.

The letter punch shown in the drawing consists essentially of a lower part 1 provided with side cheeks 2 and a pressure plate 3 hinged to the side cheeks 2 of the lower part 1. The punch 4 is in its lower area in recesses 22 and in its upper, a wider head 7th having area between tabs 21 which are bent from the side cheeks 2 out. Furthermore, a pressure rail 5 is provided which is aligned parallel to the pivot axis 32 of the pressure plate 3 and which has an upper edge in the region of one which is inwardly white Send bend 31 formed groove 33 abuts against the pressure plate 3, and on the lower edge 54 two downward, engaging in cup-like recesses 71 of the punch heads 7 and with their tip pivotally supporting pressure pegs are arranged. Furthermore, the pressure rail 5 is provided in the region of its upper edge with pins 51 which protrude at the end and engage in recesses 35 in the side walls 36 of the pressure plate 3 with play. The pins 51 are primarily used to prevent the punch 4 from losing contact with the pressure plate 3 if the punches 4 become jammed in the documents to be punched. Since, when the pressure plate 3 is actuated, the pressure rail 5 neither slides on the underside of the pressure plate 3 nor in the head 7 of the punch 4, but only executes a tilting movement, a perfect and lossless power transmission from the pressure plate 3 to the punch 4 is ensured. The punch 4 are enclosed by a coil spring 6, the lower abutment is formed by a horizontal part of the lower part of the punch and the upper abutment by the annular shoulder of the head 7 of the punch 4.
