Description

The present invention relates to a container for packaging a product and its controlled distribution, said container comprising an applicator, in particular of the brush type. This container can be pressurized like "aerosol can", or not.

The document US-A-4,533,273, which corresponds to the preamble of claim 1, relates to a pressurized container of the "aerosol can" type comprising a dispensing valve allowing a user, by acting on a push button associated with this valve, to cause the ejection of the contained product. This container comprises an applicator device consisting of a cap and a brush mounted on the latter. The cap comprises a cylindrical skirt, which is provided at its lower part with a groove capable of cooperating with a bead of the container in order to be made integral therewith. The upper end of this skirt is open and inclined relative to the axis of the container. An ejection tube, which is located inside the volume delimited by the cylindrical skirt, covers at its lower end the valve tube, while its upper end extends obliquely and slightly protrudes from the upper opening of the skirt. This ejection tube comprises a push button connected to the cylindrical skirt, which comprises, at this level, an opening allowing the user to press with a finger on this push button. The brush, which is held on the open end of the cylindrical skirt, comprises a plate on the external face of which bristles are arranged; it comprises, on its other face, a cylindrical sleeve, which, on the one hand, covers the upper end of the ejection tube and, on the other hand, opens into an orifice formed in said plate. By pressing the push button, the user exerts pressure on the valve of the container, which makes it possible to deliver a given quantity of product to the brush. According to this document, this product is preferably a detergent.

Such a device has, in particular, the drawback of being relatively expensive to make and of not being able to be covered by a protective cover.

The object of the present invention is, in particular, to provide a container comprising an applicator of simple production, adaptable to all types of containers.

Another object of the invention is to provide such a container which may include a traditional cover.

These aims, as well as others which will appear subsequently, are achieved by a container for packaging a product and its controlled distribution, said container being provided with an outlet orifice associated with a dispensing head, said head dispenser comprising a cylindrical skirt made integral with this container and connected to a bottom into which an ejection channel opens, said ejection channel being disposed substantially in the extension and in the axis of the outlet orifice, this bottom being surmounted by a base and comprising a tube substantially normal to this base and extending the ejection channel with which it forms an angle, an applicator being disposed at the free end of this tube, container which is characterized, according to the present invention , by the fact that the applicator comprises, on the one hand, a cylindrical sleeve cooperating with the free end of the tubing, and, on the other hand, a plate in which opens this cylindrical sleeve and which comprises, on its face opposite to the cylindrical sleeve, bristles distributed around the area where the sleeve opens, and that the base comprises, on its top wall, a device for holding the cylindrical sleeve in a position, where its axis is substantially parallel to that of the outlet orifice, to allow the establishment of a protective cover on the distribution area of the container. Advantageously, the holding device cooperating with the cylindrical sleeve of the applicator is a stud or a recess. This applicator can be made of a plastic material flexible such as an elastomeric copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate. Preferably, the plate is circular and the cylindrical sleeve opens out substantially in its central zone.

According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the container is pressurized, of the "aerosol can" type, a dispensing valve being disposed on the outlet orifice and the dispensing head comprising a push button cooperating with this valve in to cause the product to be ejected into the ejection channel and the tubing.

The description which follows and which is in no way limiting, should be read with reference to the attached drawing. On this drawing:
  • Figure 1 is a partial elevational view of a pressurized container according to the invention, of the "aerosol can" type, this container comprising a dispensing head provided with an applicator, said head being shown in axial section;
  • Figure 2 is an elevational view of the container of Figure 1, the applicator being in the storage position on the dispensing head, a protective cover, seen in section, covering the latter;
  • Figure 3 is an elevational view of a non-pressurized container according to the invention, this container comprising a dispensing head provided with an applicator, seen in section;
  • Figure 4 is a sectional view of the dispensing head mounted on the container of Figure 3;
  • Figure 5 is a view of the container of Figure 3, the applicator, seen in section, being in the storage position on the dispensing head, a cover, seen in section, covering the latter.

The latter comprises a body 2 having a cylindrical side wall, on the upper end edge of which is fixed, by means of a crimping, a valve-holder cup 3. In the central zone of this valve-holder cup 3, there is a valve provided with an emerging outlet tube 4. If the outlet tube 4 of the valve is pressed, the contents of the container are brought into the open air, which is then projected out of the latter , under the effect of the propellant gas present in the container, with simultaneous production of foam or an aerosol depending on the products constituting the liquid phase.

On the body 2 is adapted a dispensing head 5 constituted by a fixed part 6 and by a movable part 7, which is provided with an applicator 8.

In the mounting position of the dispensing head 5 on the body 2, the bottom 10 overhangs the edge upper peripheral of the valve-holder cup 3. The skirt 9 has internally, in the vicinity of its free edge, an interrupted annular ring 12 which, in the mounting position of the head 5, snaps inside the peripheral groove resulting from the crimping operation of the valve-holder cup 3 on the side wall of the body 2 of the container 1. The fixed part 6 of the dispensing head 5 comprises several radial fins 13 connected to the skirt 9 and to the bottom 10, these fins 13 coming to bear on the upper peripheral edge of the valve-holder cup 3 when the head 5 has just been fixed on the body 2.

The movable part 7, or base, of the dispensing head 5 is constituted by a base 14 in the form of a disc, of diameter slightly smaller than that of the opening 11: this base 14 is articulated at the inner edge of the bottom 10 by a film hinge 15. The base 14 carries externally, at the opposite of the film hinge 15, a push button 16 consisting of a protuberance delimited by an external side wall 16 a frustoconical, two side walls 16 b substantially radial and an upper wall 16 c : the user pressing this upper wall 16 c exerts pressure on the push button 16 to dispense the product contained in the container 1. This upper wall 16 c has a circular recess 17.

The walls 16b are extended by walls 18 parallel to each other, the height of which progressively decreases up to the line of the film hinge 15. These walls 18 are joined by an oblique rectangular wall 19 whose base is determined by the hinge -film 15.

The wall 16c has, projecting from its underside, a cylindrical chimney 23. An ejection channel 21 is delimited by the cylindrical chimney 23, the lower edge 24 of which is chamfered; this channel is extended, after an internal annular shoulder 25, by a portion of smaller diameter 26, into which opens a channel 27 defined by a tube 28; the channel 27 passes through the wall 19 in its upper part; the tubing 28 projects outwardly relative to the wall 19.

The applicator 8 is constituted by a plate 29 of which one face, facing outwards, comprises bristles 30, while its other face, opposite to that carrying the bristles 30, is extended by a cylindrical sleeve 31. The internal diameter of this cylindrical sleeve is substantially equal to the outside diameter of the tube 28, so that this cylindrical sleeve 31 can come to be fitted on the tube 28. The cylindrical sleeve 31 opens into the plate 29 substantially in the center of the latter.

The plate 29, of circular shape, forms a support for a multitude of bristles, which are of substantially square section. This applicator is completely molded from an ethylene / vinyl acetate elastomer copolymer.

As we could understand, by pressing the push button 16, we act on the emerging rod 4 of the valve so that the product contained in the container 1 is ejected into the ejection channel 21 then into the channel 27 of the tubing 28 and consequently at the base of the bristles 30 of the applicator 8.

As the tubing 28 is substantially normal to the wall 19 of the dispensing head 5, this tubing 28 forms an angle with the ejection channel 21-26, located in the axis of the container 1.

In the storage position, the applicator 8 is placed so that its cylindrical sleeve 31 comes to be placed in the recess 17 of the upper wall 16 c of the push button 16, so as to be able to cover the dispensing head. a protective cover 32. In this way, the axis of the applicator 8 is parallel to the axis of the container 1 and the applicator 8 in no way projects beyond the container 1, which allows it to be covered by a protective cover 32, the base of which comes to cooperate with a groove 34 provided in the body 2 of the container 1.

Un autre mode de réalisation de la présente invention est représenté aux figures 3 à 5 et concerne un récipient non pressurisé du type "tube souple".Another embodiment of the present invention is shown in Figures 3 to 5 and relates to a non-pressurized container of the "flexible tube" type.

This flexible tube 101 comprises at its upper part, a ring 102 externally carrying grooves 103; the ring 102 defines the outlet neck of the tube and comes from molding with it. The lower part of the ring 102 is provided with a groove 104, which is itself connected to the grooves 103 by an inclined wall 105.

The dispensing head 106 has at its lower part two concentric skirts: a sealing skirt 107, which is applied to the internal wall of the ring 102, and a hooking skirt 108 which has at its lower part a bead 109 cooperating with the groove 104. The two skirts 107 and 108 are connected to a bottom 110 into which opens the axial channel 111 delimited by the skirt 107. The hanging skirt 108 internally comprises anti-rotation fins 108 a , which engage, during assembly, between the grooves 103 of the ring 102.

The dispensing head 106 comprises a base 113 which surmounts the bottom 110 and which comprises an axial channel of small diameter 114 extending the axial channel 111; a frustoconical wall 115 connects the wall 116 of the smaller diameter channel 114 to the cylindrical skirt 107. The channels 111 and 114 constitute the ejection channel. The base 113 is delimited, at its upper part comprising the axial channel 114, by a cylindrical wall 117, which is connected to the bottom 110 by an oblique wall 118.

Dans le canal 114 débouche un canal 119 défini par une tubulure 120 perpendiculaire à la paroi 117 de l'embase 113.In the channel 114 opens a channel 119 defined by a tube 120 perpendicular to the wall 117 of the base 113.

L'applicateur 121 est constitué d'un plateau 122 de forme circulaire comportant, sur une face, dite face extérieure, des poils 123 et, sur son autre face, un manchon cylindrique 124 débouchant sensiblement au centre de ce plateau 122.The applicator 121 consists of a plate 122 of circular shape comprising, on one face, called the external face, of bristles 123 and, on its other face, a cylindrical sleeve 124 opening out substantially at the center of this plate 122.

The cylindrical sleeve 124 has an inside diameter slightly greater than the outside diameter of the tubing 120, in order to allow the fitting of the applicator 121 on this tubing 120, with sufficient friction to keep the applicator 121 in place. the dispensing head 106.

la tête de distribution 106 comporte à son sommet un plot 125 sur lequel peut venir s'emmancher le manchon cylindrique 124 de l'applicateur 121, lorsque l'on veut recouvrir la tête de distribution 106 par un capot protecteur 126 dont la partie inférieure coopère avec un épaulement 127 situé sur la paroi oblique 128 reliant le corps 129 du récipient 101 à la base de la bague 102.the dispensing head 106 has at its top a stud 125 on which the cylindrical sleeve 124 of the applicator 121 can be fitted, when it is desired to cover the dispensing head 106 with a protective cover 126 whose lower part cooperates with a shoulder 127 situated on the oblique wall 128 connecting the body 129 of the container 101 to the base of the ring 102.
