Description

The invention relates to a downpipe section with an opening arranged in its wall, formed from a lower and upper arcuate segment, a dirt trap attached to its inside, falling towards the opening and an imaginary line of contact of the segments in the area of the opening Adjacent wall pivotally hinged flap for the opening, which is closed in the closed state on the outside and with its lower edge zone on the inside of the downpipe section and in the open state is inclined falling away from the opening and with its lower section in the cross section of the downpipe section protrudes.

In such a downpipe section known from DE-GM 75 30 833, a channel-shaped closure flap is pivotally articulated in the edge region of the opening made in the wall, so that the closure flap in the closed state engages with the upper section of the downpipe section from the outside and with its lower edge zone extends into the downpipe section and rests on the inside. In the open position, the flap is inclined by 10 to 15 ° with respect to the horizontal, the rainwater flowing down being collected by the lower flap section and being discharged to the outside. Arranged in the downpipe section is a dirt trap which slopes down towards the opening and emerges with the front part in the opening, which lies tightly against the inner wall of the downpipe section and is soldered to it. The closure flap is provided with a bow-shaped handle, the free end of which is bent outwards and in the closed position engages under a resilient snap closure attached to the downpipe section above the opening. In the open position, a stop attached to the closure flap below the handle rests on the bent sheet metal strip attached to the downpipe section below the opening, which stop can also be designed as a snap lock.

Letzterer liegt bei geöffneter Stellung der Verschlußklappe in etwa in einer Ebene mit dem in dem Fallrohrabschnitt befestigten Schmutzfangsiebabschnitt und ist im geschlossenen Zustand zur Achse des Fallrohrabschnitts hin geneigt.DE-OS 29 08 621 describes a downpipe section in which a dirt trap section firmly connected to the wall ends with its edge facing the opening in the region of the pivot axis of the closure flap. Towards the opening there follows another dirt trap section, which is firmly soldered to the inner wall of the closure flap. The latter is in the open position of the closure flap approximately in one plane with the dirt trap section attached in the downpipe section and is inclined towards the axis of the downpipe section in the closed state.

The disadvantage of such downpipe sections is that the arrangement and design of the strainer makes cleaning them more difficult. Another disadvantage is that, due to the design of the opening in the wall, rainwater can escape between the shutter and the wall when the shutter is closed.

It is the object of the present invention to design the downpipe section described at the outset in such a way that the debris accumulated on the strainer screen and the strainer screen itself can be removed without problems and the escape of rainwater between the closed closure flap and the edge of the downpipe section delimiting the wall opening is omitted.

This object is achieved in that the chord length of the upper opening segment is smaller than that of the lower one, edges being formed on the line of contact of both segments, the segmental arch of the lower opening segment extending above the line of contact of the two segments, forming a slot in the edge region delimiting the opening extends into the wall, the oval dirt trap with its longitudinal axis falling towards the opening is detachably articulated on the inside of the flap and is height-adjustable in the interior of the downpipe section in accordance with the movement of the flap. The segments of the opening of different sizes have edges on their contact line which cause the rainwater stream running along the inner wall of the downpipe section to tear off at these edges and run into the interior of the downpipe section. An escape of the rainwater between the closure flap and the opposite edge of the wall of the downpipe section delimiting the opening is thus prevented.

Within the scope of the embodiment of the invention, the segments can be designed in the shape of a circular arc, a parabolic arc and / or an ellipse.

The fact that the dirt trap does not rest on the wall of the downpipe section results in a comparatively enlarged passage cross section for the rainwater.

Since the dirt trap is only detachably arranged on the closure flap with its opening-side edge, it can be easily removed and installed. In addition, the debris accumulated on the strainer can be easily removed.

The closure of the flap consists of a toggle attached to the downpipe section in the wall above the upper opening segment, which can be pushed over the upper edge of the closure flap.

The downpipe section according to the invention is shown by way of example in the drawing and is explained in more detail below. Show it:
  • Fig. 1 is a front view of the downpipe section with the flap closed and
  • Fig. 2 is a side view along the downpipe section with the shutter open.

An opening formed from an upper and a lower arcuate segment (2, 3) is arranged in the wall of the downpipe section (1). Inside the downpipe section (1) there is an oval dirt trap sieve (4) which slopes towards the opening and is detachably articulated with its opening-side edge on the hook (6) attached to the inside of the closure flap (5) for the opening. In the area of the plane comprising the imaginary line of contact of the two segments, the closure flap (5) is pivotably articulated in bearings (7, 8) in the edge area delimiting the opening. In the closed state, the closure flap (5) lies on the outside of the downpipe section (1) and with the edge region of its lower section (9) on the inside of the downpipe section (1). In the open state, the closure flap (5) is inclined to fall away from the opening and projects with its lower section (9) into the cross section of the downpipe section (1). Since the chord length of the upper segment (2) is smaller than that of the lower (3), edges (10, 11) are formed at which the rainwater film moving helically along the wall of the downpipe section (1) is interrupted. After passing through an inflection point, the segmental arch of the lower segment (3) runs into the wall of the downpipe section (1) in the edge region delimiting the opening (12). In this slot (12), the closure flap (5) is inserted and pivotally mounted in the adjacent wall. The dirt trap (4) connected to the closure flap (5) can be displaced in height in accordance with the movement of the closure flap (5) inside the downpipe section (1), with it on the side of the wall of the downpipe section (1) facing away from the opening with one on its edge attached spacer (13) slides. Above the upper opening segment (2) is mounted in the wall of the downpipe section (1) a toggle (15) which can be rotated about the axis (14) and by which the closure flap (5) is held in the closed position.
