Description

The invention relates to a device for the automatic filling of liquids into containers, such as barrels, containers, which are fed via transport elements and the filling holes of the containers are assigned adjustable filling heads, the containers being able to be aligned accordingly in the processing stations and also being adjustable by means of adjustable treatment heads The bung holes undergo pre- and post-treatment in the form of opening and closing the bung holes.

Such devices are known and are used for the automatic filling of drums. In addition to the actual filling, further barrel treatments related to the filling process are carried out via treatment heads, for example screwing and screwing in the closure for the bunghole, and possibly also so-called clinching, in which the screwed bunghole is sealed with an additional covering. These processes take place in a specific order, the respective treatment heads being arranged one behind the other in the transport direction of the barrel via a transport path and brought into engagement accordingly, so that the barrel is transported one after the other under the different treatment heads. This training is relatively complex and has the defect that the transport must be carried out under the centering position exactly under the next treatment head and this is sometimes carried out after leaving the filling head as a heavy filled barrel to the subsequent treatment heads.

To improve, it has become known to assign the individual treatment heads to the barrel via a slide guide in the barrel transport direction. The lack of multiple centering of the barrel is eliminated, but it must be accepted that the workflow for a barrel must first be waited until another barrel can be processed.

The object of the invention is to improve a generic device and to provide a simple arrangement for filling different containers with a minimum number of controlled drives, which also allows the use for several containers without additional treatment positions with a space-saving structure and an individual program setting guaranteed with a quick adjustment.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the individual treatment heads are combined via a device carrier as a unit in the form of a tool and are adjustable such that the individual treatment heads can be adjusted via a programmable control unit by adjusting the entire device carrier in all adjustment axes via actuators to the bunghole and the individual treatment heads can be set up in succession in accordance with the work steps to be carried out.

This has the advantage of enabling complete encapsulation of the treatment heads in one unit and of providing only one drive for each actuating axis. This arrangement also enables quick adaptation to different containers possible and no additional treatment positions are required.

A simple drive arrangement is created in that an actuator is arranged for all adjustment axes, all axis movements being adjustable by means of assigned switching elements.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is proposed that the device carrier with its treatment heads has at least one working area for two parallel strands and two containers arranged one behind the other. This results in a further increase in performance, in particular for highly viscous media (long filling times), because additional filling strands can be processed in parallel with a unit of treatment heads. As a result, processing can also be carried out directly with a pallet loaded with several aligned containers. Palletizing full barrels can thus be omitted. The full pallet is transported away and a new empty pallet is fed in and loaded with appropriately aligned containers. Of course, it is also possible to individually feed and align the containers after placing an empty pallet in the processing area.

It is also proposed that a treatment head as a bunghole locator controls an alignment device for the containers for the predetermined bunghole setting.

Als Variante zur Einstellung des Geräteträgers, ist vorgesehen, daß über einen Behandlungskopf mit einem Sensor und der programmierbaren Steuereinheit zur Zuordnung des Geräteträgers zum Spundloch des Behälters, die vorliegenden Wegkoordinaten zur Spundlocherfassung ermittelbar sindAs a variant for setting the device carrier, it is provided that the present path coordinates for the bunghole detection can be determined via a treatment head with a sensor and the programmable control unit for assigning the device carrier to the bunghole of the container

An adaptable arrangement is created in that the individual treatment heads in the device carrier are interchangeable and arranged to be adaptable to the requirements.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the basic structure of the invention is shown schematically. Here, a top view of a processing station with two parallel beams from conveyors is shown.

In the arrangement shown, individual barrels 1 are fed via conveyors 2 and 3 arranged in parallel and aligned with respect to the bung hole 4 via a rotary drive (not shown in more detail) which acts on the beginning of the container. Above the alignment position formed is a receptacle 5 for a movable device carrier 6, which carries corresponding treatment heads 7 to 12 as a unit in the form of a tool.

The device carrier 6 can be adjusted in all actuating axes according to the requirements by means of assigned actuators 13, 14 and 15. In this case, a corresponding movement sequence and a sequence of steps is specified via a programmable control unit 16, taking into account the existing conditions.

In the device carrier 6, the treatment heads 7 to 12 consist of a bunghole locator with inductive, optical or capacitive sensing, open-close screwdriver, clinching device and moisture meter.

During a barrel run, a barrel 1 is fed to the processing station, and the treatment head 7 with the bunghole locator is lowered via the actuator 13 with the equipment carrier to just above the container surface and controls the alignment movement for the bunghole target position.

After the bung hole 4 has been aligned, the implement carrier 6 is assigned to the bung hole 4 with its open-close screwdriver as a treatment head 8, lowered and the sealing plug unscrewed. Then, if necessary, it is determined via the treatment head 9 with the moisture meter whether the barrel 1 is empty. The barrel can now be filled via separate filling heads 17. At the same time, the other drums 1 can be prepared for the filling with the adjustable equipment carrier 6. Following the filling, the device carrier moves its treatment head 8 back into the bunghole closing position and closes the barrel 1 via its open-close screwdriver.

Furthermore, a clinching cap is applied over the treatment head 10, while a treatment head 11 is provided as a reserve. The treatment head 12 is also designed as an open-close screwdriver, in order to simultaneously receive the respective sealing plug and not to cause any work bottleneck.

If the container size or different containers are changed, it is only necessary to enter the corresponding path changes in the control unit or to exchange corresponding existing programs, since the movement sequence is in principle retained.
